dimepiece: I have been married for 2 years now to my wonderful husband. We both come from pretty wealthy families. We had been dating for 1.5 years before deciding to tie the knot. I thought this would be it because I thought that I loved him sooooo much but boy was I wrong. I have gotten to know my husband's side of the family, including his sister. Well I didn't meet the sister till our wedding day because she was doing her masters in Canada through out the time we were dating but flew in to see her brothers wedding. But from the first time me and the sister met there was in instant attraction between us. At first, I couldn't tell what it was, I just knew that I liked the sister and wanted to get to know her better and she felt the same way about me. Since the two years we got married, the sister has finished her masters and now is back home and I have come to love my husband's sister and she says she loves me to. We have had se.x with each other many times and WOW she felt better than any man that I have had se.x with before, including my husband. My husband never suspected what was going on, he just thought that me and his sister really liked each other's company and that is why we spend so much time together. Well now the problem is that I am no longer in love with my husband, I feel trapped in this marriage and I want a divorce so that I can be with my sister in law and also I am 7 weeks pregnant for my husband but I plan on aborting it since I no longer love my husband. My husband does not know about the pregnancy yet and he still loves me a lot and I really don't want to hurt him. So my question is should I divorce my husband and abort the child or should I just stick to my marriage? Fake story...utter rubbish...u re a clown |

We must do all we can as a people to fight and discourage homosexuality in our Nation. Some dummies embrace it cos to them it is trendy-they are lost and probably got no training and instructions while growing up.We must not allow this one percent lead our Nation to perdition. We must teach them what their parents failed to do,but if they refuse to learn the right way...we need to ensure the house of assembly passes the law to punish them for their sacrilegious act. HOMOSEXUALITY IS THE ROAD TO DESTRUCTION FOR US AS A PEOPLE.the whites are Animals, they even sleep with animals, yet some dumbs use them as an example of civilized people, while they are a bunch of indiscipline and perverted race.We should teach them, not follow the lost souls. All they have they get from Africa,Egypt is the earliest civilization...moreover the black man is the first human to walk on the Earth. So those dummies promoting whites and their perverted cultures are lost. |

manny4life: Look , I stand for equality and justice. I've always opposed gay marriage because that isn't my belief, nonetheless, the right to practice your sexuality shouldn't be criminal. What two grown consenting adults do in their bedroom is neither my business nor yours, so why should we make it a big deal?
Hehe, I'm so comfortable with myself that gay accusations towards me doesn't move me. In fact, it makes me laugh so hard because those accusations are kinda like dumb if you ask me. What someone thinks about me doesn't bother me, neither will it it stop me from saying how I see it. Abusing someone's right and then call it law is the height of injustice.
Unfortunately, Nigeria is not U.S. where you can file a suit against NASS for abusing their powers, if not, the courts will be the final decision maker on this law - whether it lives or dies a painful death. Pls go live in the US. |

Knowledge9000: What God Has Joined Together, Let No Man Put Asunder!!! Nigerians are the biggest hypocrites ever known to mankind. What's the federal government business if two people, of the same gender chose to get married or be together? How does it affect your life? Do you have a corner on truth to deny them the right to be together? What justification have you to get involved in their private business?
To all those who are castigating these people, haven't you fornicated before or looked at a woman/man lustily? I guess you didn't know that was a sin hah? I am not gay nor do I support gay marriage, however, I strongly believe that people should be allowed to determine the course they take in life. As long as they are not trying to impose their ideology on me or anyone.
If no body is preventing you from fornicating, which obviously is a sin, why then are you trying to look into other people life? Bunch of maniacal Hypocrites. You have two options, either you go do cosmetic boobs, and look like a woman,or leave Nigeria to America...or u get lynched to death after the law is passed. |

The fools in the national assemble should stop this nonesense and make law that help the nigerian people!! The stupid senate president says being gay is not a good moral. Apparently stealing public funds and corruption is a good moral that's why there is no single anti-corruption bill in this country.. And that why i said if you want to to see nigeria's problem buy a mirror. Most people here are hailing those thieves for passing a bill sentencing people who has never done any wrong to you to 14 years in prison. But no single law for themselves and cronies who has looted the living day light out of this nation..i am disgusted!!! Deal with the issue...or are u gay? |

I've said it before only a bad failing government needs sensitive issues like these to distract citizenry. In Nigeria it is already a criminal offence to engage in homosexuality so why spend precious time trying to pass a redundant law. Where would homosexuals marry legally, church, mosque, not even an ifa priest would bless that union. If a man wants to shag a man or woman likewise make dem carry go as far as dem no offend me with them business. they wont offend you,but they might influence ur kid to become gay...and bring curse to our nation.pls do not blindly quote human right, what of our right?...it is obscene,we have a right to be spared obscenity.why can't u run naked in public?-cos its obscene, hence the law wont tolerate it.Mr human rights. |

Some of us are born intolerant, some acquired it, some of us see a bigger picture. Start killing gay people, please do, don't curse at them, kill them since you hate them so much. Your hatred is unlike your christ, even jesus would have been more tolerant than you are, but then again those of you claiming immorality are not saying this because of your faith, not really, it is because you cannot understand what it is like to be different. So go ahead and curse your hearts out, the voice of the many who would not stand idly back while you torture an entire orientation, and future generations would spit on your graves. Ptimes: In the face of growing pressure from the international community and human rights activists demanding the legalization of same sex marriage in Nigeria, President of the Senate, David Mark, has insisted that that the bill prohibiting same sex marriage is “irrevocable.”
The senate president said on Sunday in Abuja that in spite of the pressures from some quarters, the “law has come to stay.”
Same sex marriage will become a criminal offence in Nigeria and punishable by imprisonment of not less than 14 years if the bill is eventually signed into law.
The act was criminalised by a senate bill which got popular support from Nigerian lawmakers who said the bill will promote “decency” in the Nigerian society.
“We will not compromise on this,” the senate president said. “There are many good values we can copy from other societies but certainly not this one (same sex marriage).”
Mr. Mark, an influential Nigerian politician, said Nigeria has got to “prove to the rest of the world, who are advocates of this unnatural way that we Nigerians promote and respect sanity, morality and humanity.”
“Every individual is a product of the union of a man and woman!” he asserted.
Nigeria’s Senate in November 2011 approved the bill that would make same-sex marriage punishable by 14 years imprisonment for gay couples and 10 for anyone abetting such unions.
“Any person who … directly or indirectly makes public show of same-sex amorous relationships,” is also liable and punishable with a 10-year sentence.”
The bill outlaws gay organisations.
The bill has passed a second reading in the House of Representatives with a unanimous vote and will be forwarded to the president for approval after a clause-by-clause review and approval of the law by the Reps this year.
The bill will become law only after it is signed by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The formulation of the anti-gay rights law has pitched Nigeria against its pro-gay allies, with the United States and Britain condemning the law as an infringement on the rights of gays.
British Prime Minister, David Cameron, warned that the United Kingdom will consider withholding aids from countries that do not recognise gay rights.
U.S. President, Barack Obama, has also ordered all government agencies that play an active foreign policy role to take steps to encourage foreign nations to put a premium on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights.
The law is popularly supported by Nigerians and has been widely praised especially by religious leaders and adherents.http://premiumtimesng.com/news/114085-no-going-back-on-criminalizing-same-sex-marriage-in-nigeria-david-mark.html PLS IF YOU ARE GAY KINDLY SEEK ASYLUM IN AMERICA-EVEN THERE YOU HAVE JUST A FEW STATES TO SATISFY YOUR CURSED ORIENTATION.NIGERIANS FIND THE DISPLAY OF AFFECTIONS IN PUBLIC BY GAYS OFFENSIVE.IF WE ALLOW IT OUR KIDS WILL COPY AND THINK ITS THE RIGHT WAY.THOSE OF YOU SAYING GAYS ARE BORN THAT WAY ARE LYING BLINDLY-NO ONE IS BORN ANYWAY,KIDS DO WHAT THEY SEE,HENCE IF WE TOLERATE GAYS,KIDS WILL SEE AND LEARN SUCH.PLS IF YOU ARE GAY,YOU ARE FREE TO LEAVE NAIJA,RESPECT URSELF OR YOU GO ENTER KIRIKIRI. |

iyaniwurablog: Yes, you know she is one of Nigeria’s best writers and she has won a lot of prizes. But do you also know that:
1-She briefly studied medicine and pharmacy at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka before leaving to study communications (Eastern Connecticut State University) and creative writing from Johns Hopkins University.
2-She was born on the 15th September, 1977. That makes her 35 years old even though she looks every bit 25! But she doesn’t find that funny all the time:“I know, I look about 18. Actually, it can be a bit irritating. People don’t always take you seriously.” But I guess the world is taking her really serious now.
3-Her dad is Nigeria’s first professor of statistics while her mum is a university registrar, the first female in the institution (UNN). Now, you can see the genes at work. Yelz, her sister is a medical doctor.
4-She was born in Enugu State, the coal state of Nigeria.
5-Her latest book is titled ‘The Thing Around Your Neck’. Her other ones include the Purple Hibiscus and yes, you gerrit, Half of a Yellow Sun.
6-Tah! Don’t go there at all! She is happily married. Even though she once described marriage as a ‘dangerous’ institution for women. Her husband is a doctor based in Maryland, United States. She describes him as a ‘Nigerian, American and British’(see her pix with husband here: http://iyaniwura.com/16-things-you-didnt-know-about-chimamanda-adichie/). She shuttles between the US and Nigeria. How sweet! And obviously, she doesn’t want much noise made about that. But trust Iyaniwura to tell you a bit about her husband. He is Dr. Ivara Alistair Esege, MD of the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka.
7-She is the fifth of six children and grew up in a house that was once used by Nigeria’s master writer and one of Africa’s very best writers, Chinua Achebe. I think I need to rent a room in that house too o!
8-Her middle name is Ngozi. It means ‘blessing’. As for Chimamanda, it means ‘My God is unfailing’ or ‘My God never fails me’.
9-She read Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart at the age of 10. Okay, what was I doing at the age of 10 o? Rolling tyres all over the street! By seven, she was already writing. Now, you don’t want to know what I was doing at that age.
10-She grew up reading Enid Blyton, okay, we share that trait…lol!
11-Her paternal grandfather died in a refugee camp during the Nigerian Civil War of 1967-1970. These experiences would later influence her writing style. Her book, Half of a Yellow Sun actually took its name from the Biafran flag.
12-She says she is always thinking about death, and for her, love and death come hand in hand.
13-She also said: “This may sound slightly mythical, but I sometimes feel as if my writing is something bigger than I am.”
14-Her dad actually dropped out of school when his family could no longer pay his school fees. He did some work as a sanitary inspector and was later able to sponsor himself for private Cambridge exams which he passed.
15- She won the MacArthur Genius Grant of $500,000, that’s cool half a million!
16-She’s a Catholic.
Thank you for your time.

Eisenhower: in his first speech in 6months,the president of Syria declared publicly that "we are at war" even after the death of more than 60,000 of his own people.
DEFIANT Bashar Assad gives a rare speech in Syria yesterday, declaring: “We are now in a state of war in every sense of the word.”
He blamed “terrorists” for the violence in his country and said outsiders should stop arming them.
The president’s speech was presented as a bid to start peace moves, but he told fawning supporters at a packed Damascus Opera House: “We will not have dialogue with a puppet made by the West.”
In Britain, Foreign Secretary William Hague said his “empty promises of reform fool no one”. In a Twitter message, he added: “Death, violence and oppression engulfing Syria are of his own making.”
More than 60,000 people have died in the civil war so far.

pitoski: A 28-year-old photography student from Nigeria allegedly committed suicide after jumping off the second floor of his rented accommodation in Sector 41. Police said preliminary probe suggests that the deceased, Kelvin Lakoju, was in depression. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Embassy and the deceased's family have been informed about the incident.
Kelvin had been living in Noida since 2009 and was pursuing a photography course from an institute in Film City. Cops said he jumped off around 11pm on Wednesday, January 2nd. "We have questioned some people and came to know that he was upset for some reasons," said deputy SP, S Chinappa.
"His friends said Kelvin was good at studies. Some personal problem could be the reason for committing suicide," said a senior police officer. An FIR has been lodged with Sector 39 police station.
