victorian: Guys mentioning deliverance, av done that already on various occasions, I even completed one, two months ago... And the Pastors always say , my way is free and open.. All I need is for God to bring my own husband to me and really good men are scarce and I should be patient. That God who created me knows when is the right time...I said ok.. Am not ready for another deliverance , av been delivered long ago.

@lovemijeje and flytefalls, it wasn't easy... I used 5years to pray and meditate for healing of the mind and soul.. My pastor said am really lucky to be sane at this moment, that someone weak wud av gone bonkers... But am still firm and calm... It's by Gods grace... God has been kind and good to me.

@loveablesam, I know marriage these days , is about sharing the family responsibility with the husband. Times have changed, am not lazy.. And it will be burdensome leaving everything for the man...And I will never be a liability, likewise the man shouldn't be too....but play his own financial role.... I am ok, with a 50-50 relationship.
Thanks everyone for the advices, thanks for your support....but funny some people here think am a lesbian, or I have lesbian friends? That's not true o..... My few friends are straight and married but only one of them is happy in her marriage, the rest have issues in their homes, and I rarely have the time to discuss family issues except during my hols.

Tiwa Bankole, the
singer who was
allegedly stabbed
by her landlord’s
son, Tobi Obadina,
has said she thought she was
going to die.

According to her,
Tobi constantly
harasses tenants
and gets away with it.

“When he was stabbing me, I started bleeding
profusely and I thought I was going to die,” she
said.

Bankole, who spoke with our correspondent on
her hospital bed at Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos on
Thursday, said she did nothing to warrant the
attack.

“Tobi said no one could arrest him and nothing
would happen to him because his father is a
retired police officer and his stepmother, a
policewoman, he always gets away with his
misdeeds,” she said.

Bankole, who goes by the pseudonym, T Banks,
described her assailant, Tobi, as a hot-tempered
boy, who had on many occasions assaulted
tenants at their 20 Yusuf Street home.

She said she had reported the 23 year-old boy to
his father on many occasions but the landlord
always ignored her.

She said, “I’ve been living in the house since
2005 with my brothers. Although the landlord
lives in the same building with us, Tobi does not.

He was one of my younger brothers’ friend and
even used to come to our room. Some months
ago, I wanted to use the toilet but Tobi blocked
my way, threatening to beat me.

“After a brief argument, neighbours advised me
to enter my room and ignore him which I did. I reported the matter to my dad who later reported
the matter to the landlord.

“The landlord told my dad that Tobi had not been
to the house in three years and that I was lying.
The landlord even insinuated that Tobi and I were
having a relationship.

“There is no way I could have a relationship with
Tobi because I’m about 10 years older than him.

My father however advised me to stay away from
the boy. I have been avoiding him but he
continued to cause trouble in the neighbourhood,”
Bankole said.

The singer said on the day she was brutally
stabbed by Tobi, she was going to fetch water in
the compound when he accosted her and started
cursing her.

She said she ignored him but it seemed Tobi’s
attitude further infuriated him.
Bankole alleged that Tobi followed her into her
room where he stabbed her and her younger
brother, Olaniyi, repeatedly.

She said, “Tobi insulted me, saying that he was
going to get married soon while I am still a
spinster at my age. He hit me in the back and an
argument ensued. My younger brother however
pulled me back into the house but Tobi continued
to curse us. We cursed him also and this
infuriated him.

“He poured a bucket of water into our room
through the window and he later broke the
louvres. He threatened to deal with us. In the
evening, he barged into our room with a broken
tumbler and said since we had refused to come
out and face him, he would kill us.

“I was able to push him to the ground as he
attempted to stab my brother in the back. He
stabbed my brother in the hands but he (my
brother) was able to escape. As I was left alone
with Tobi, he stabbed me repeatedly in the neck,
hands and other parts of my body.”
PUNCH Metro learnt that another neighbour, Sola
Ajayi, who intervened, was also stabbed in the
process.

Tobi’s father, Ebenezer Obadina, however,
dissociated himself from the incident.
He said he had warned his son to turn a new leaf
and had done his best as a father.

According to him, he was sleeping when the
incident occurred and did not even know that Tobi
was on the premises.

“I am 76 years old and Tobi is my last child. I’ve
been advising him to change his ways but he
never listens. I had no hand in what happened
and in fact, I was the one that got him arrested
after the incident,” he said.

Tobi, it was learnt, is still being detained at
Gowon Police Division.

Initially when I see posts of men seeking to have kids only without being married, i often think at that time, that they could be making a huge mistake.. Like someone said marriage is not for everybody. 98percent of my relationships are with guys, who I thought are hardworking , good heart and have prospects, but unknown to me they are just coming to get what they can, also to make one's life miserable after marriage.... I wonder how a guy who claims works, will be asking of recharge cards?.... How to eat your food..? Claiming he is so broke at this time to even buy a meal...there is no day, he is buoyant to take care of himself..... Am not saying, spend on me... But please take care of yourself... Don't carry your load and place on my shoulders, cause u feel society expects me to be married.... Well, society expectation, is different from my peace of mind.
My most cherished and peaceful moments , is when am single....oh lord, the peace and money I usually save , then is incomparable....marriage is not for me, cos I can't be the only one taking care of my kids, the lazy husband and my good self.....nah, I can't carry that load... Married peeps, I hail..l. But count me out of being married.. At least, I command respect at my office, my environment, my church.. People hardly know am not married, unless I tell them so...
Am not in for all this cat and mouse games , between men and women.... Peace out.

Strange things happen everyday. This time, officers performing a routine probation check on a northern California man yesterday were shocked to find that he had some 34 pounds of marijuana in his rented house.
But they were more startled to discover the animal guarding it – a five-foot alligator named Mr Teeth.

Deputies stopped by Mayar’s two-story rental home in Castro Valley on Wednesday afternoon to perform a probation compliance check.
Alameda County Sgt. J.D. Nelson said that while inspecting the house, officers discovered 34 pounds of dried, processed marijuana in Mayar’s bedroom.
Next to the pot was a Plexiglas tank containing the alligator. Sgt Nelson said that the massive reptile was likely used as a deterrent for would-be marijuana thieves.
