TheCar: I understand your point.
My reply was correcting an impression that drivers can't or should flee from car owners asking for above 35k.
Great Power comes with great responsibilities.
A Messi or Ronaldo is getting paid more than Ahmed Musa because of results that they delivered. A Pep Guardiola is getting paid more than a Eddie Howe.
If you demand more power, you should be able to deliver the necessary results.
Cheers You know why you don't see any Nigerian club bidding for them? Because they don't suit the market. If you put as u said, a 15 million naira car in Nigeria e-hailing market then you're wrong. Your driver proposing max of 40k weekly for such vehicle is only being real and not inhumane |

taxiappguy: I fully agree with what you have said. Additionally, a one day test drive will not be a bad idea for someone who is willing to pre-pay or front a security deposit. A new driver that doesn't know Jack about cars, what does he know he's testing apart from just moving the car around. Owners should just try and be sincere about the condition of their cars |

What's on d agreement letter? I own a corolla on ubar. I fix d car for my driver except minor fault. Those things u mentioned are major. U don't expect d poor driver to pay rentals and still fix all those fault. I blame him for running, he should have told u d fault for u to fix. taxiappguy: You are not renting the car out so he can eat, you are renting the car out so you can make money. In actual fact, he is renting the car from you so you can eat. Unless of course you don't take a remittance. There are people that rent Uber vehicles and pay out of pocket just to have a car to drive around in.
When a driver pays #Assurance, he is your renter/hirer. At this time, he is boss. It is when you fail to collect #Assurance, you can start to call the person your driver, It is now you are boss. Before that, he is your renter.
Partners often misinterpret their roles and therein lies the problem. A vehicle owner's job is to provide an Uber enabled vehicle. What the driver plans to do with it is his business. So long as it is covered in the Rental/HP agreement (which I have for sale for a small token).
In fact the driver can rent the car and be using it to pick only ladies if he wants to, as long as he makes the car payment every week or as stipulated in the Rental/HP Agreement which you both earlier signed.
That is what every car rental agent in the world would do. As long as what he is using the vehicle for is legit and covered by the terms, and he is using the vehicle in a responsible manner. Whether Uber pays on Sunday, or Togo got to the moon before America, that is renter's business to .......... I can't stop reading this line over and over again, and I can't stop saying God bless you each time I read it. God bless you |

nitigriti: Seems car owners here don't understand what I've been driving at as per experience, so I will break it down for us all
Like Dru23 will say through his many memes, you can learn from your own experience or other people's experience. When a new car owner or new driver comes on this forum, we tell him or her "go read up from page 1 to the last page, you will get everything you need to know about this e-hailing business". What is that? Are those not other people's experiences this newbie owner or driver is leveraging on? OK, when you sign up a new driver and you brief him - do this like this, do that like that; don't go out by this time, be in this area during working hours, don't work beyond 10pm ... pray, tell me, is that not experience you are passing across to this newbie driver? Abi him go come invent wheel once again? Shey una dey give una cars out without briefing the driver how the ehailing business dey go?
No need to even talk again. Give your cars to newbies nau Bros as long as you can drive, download your app, go online and wait for request. If no request for a while change location. There's a reason they don't have a course for e-hailing in schools, because u don't need experience to make money, u only need experience to boost your earnings. Thank you |

In Ghana I dunno but in Nigeria, the question should be.. how much should a driver compensate you for giving him your car to drive for maybe 10 hours a day 6 days a week? nitigriti: True, I agree with you. Personally, I go into Ajao Estate because, apart from waiting for airport trips alone, I can get other trips from surrounding areas - Isolo, Oke Afa, Ago Palace, Okota - usually on surge; + I get to walk around, stretch my legs and get something to eat. You can't do all these in airport area.
As per traffic, 15 minutes max, you will be there - international, local or mma2; but it's always good to call the rider and let him/her know. It's surge, most will be grateful they even have a car to wait for at all I've parked there before and got taxify request, I gave the rider my ETA and made sure he was okay with it before even starting my engine. Riders are not gods, all it takes is a simple communication and little understanding. I went as far as letting the rider know I didn't have money for car park and he agreed to pay and deduct from his fare. At the end of the trip he still gave me a tip of N500. Though yeye taxify didn't include parking fee in the total fare, I just used the tip to cover up |

dru23: Smh, you must be a driver. I own cars on the platform . And each cars deliver 40k a week. 07 elantras non of my drivers are complaining. There was a young man on these platform daveone . He posted his earnings part time. I spoke to him and he said it's all about planning and positioning. Plz don't come out here and give wrong information. Read the threads and learn from guys that are doing it. I meet another young man on these forum. He posted his last week earnings on taxify. He was looking for a car to drive. The 03 camry he has was too old for him and giving him bad ratings . I call the young man up. Coz I posted a 04 tokunbo civic. The young guy can't be more than 24 yrs doing uber. He said work is going on. That has he is speaking to me a request just came in. One of my guys on the forum has not driven for months. Waiting for a new car to drive . He drove this past Sunday back to back request. He drove on Monday from 5am to about 1pm made 10k. He slept for 2 hours and started his evening shift at about 4pm and made a total of 16k for the day I have reliable people on these forum that I can ask questions and they can give me an honest answer. So bro either you are lazy or u have no clue on what you are doing. The people that are getting requests don't have two heads now. Change your thinking and move with people that you can learn from. These is the reason why the rich move with the rich. And the poor stay poor coz the move with each other. Do your homework before coming on the thread to complain about the market been flooded. If a 22 year old is getting requests I don't known what to say about your situation o Is it by age now? |

Point of correction, fleetxpert absconded with someone's millions. Where do you think all the flight tickets came from?
