Dulling things in Ikeja as regards requests on Taxify. How I wish Uber no block me.

Abeg, who can gimme tips on getting requests early in the morning to Island from my side; Isheri-Oshun, Ejigbo/Okota/Jakande Estate. I hardly get requests to Island these days. Mainland is boring from 7:30am.

Just wake up and go online as early as 5am. Island riders leave early because of traffic

The problem most pilot have is them been desperate to drive with any prize/condition given to them by partners. At the same time partners also want to make money while most of them want quick money to buy another car withing a short period which I see it as a long term relationship business between the two parties pilots /partners but I blame no one but the app companies who give false hope of returns to partners... everything is business! This i Am telling you will only be understood by the experienced pilots , sometime pilots gain but brother i tell you he/she's gain is saved to keep the car in good shape except for the greedy pilots who careless! I have had one or two experience with partners but all i see is that all they talk about is their money, forgotten the risk and bad side of the business which pilots face everyday. I work hard the best way i can to please my partners but they refused to listen to we pilots advise better still they listen to their friends who tell them the business is rosy and their pilots are paying them regularly while pilots are different from one another and it's the pressure some have from partners that makes them work to the extreme tirelessly in order to meet up the demands and in the end they end up having accidents and so much more. Brother there are partners out there who would like to give out their good cars at that price to a good trust worthy pilots or even less (don't be surprised) but lies have filled the air about pilots some partners are also desperate about money and some listen outside the box.
for now the business competition is not what it used be anymore. I believe you know all these and i hope you understand my few reasons and for my kind, I don't work under pressure because life is very important to and when a pilot dies he/she is gone while insurance repairs the car and it's back on the road with this pilots will want to be safe at all times that's the reason why pressure given by partners to their pilots leads to pilots dropping their cars... most pilots don't know what they want too it's when they are in they start seeing things themselves .(no doubt there are good and bad pilots).
The truth is all these will keep going on like that only if pilots would think of themselves and the business with the partner been supportive in every way. I know of a partner as at October 2015 he has been collecting remittance of 30k on his cars of Toyota corolla 2012 and as of now he has given the car to the pilots who had driven it... here is understanding and support between the two parties...
With my experience in this field i already know my capacity.
If there is understanding and lesser greed in this business pilots and partners will always be happy with one another. Brother once more thanks for the good luck... (It's possible)

Drivers are making more money because a lot of them are becoming dubious.

He probably didn't have control over the GPS 'shakushaku' then tried to make it up to you. Some drivers don't do it intentionally. It happens to me sometimes

No I did not have time to work full time but the issue on during the day is pick up location is far well on Saturday I work from 11 till like 7 and get 12k with 2300k fuel

test the taxfiy and see how it be, well I think it will work very well in Ibadan not as ppl think but for now the issue is pick up location is far sometimes, due to no much driver yet

Do you have time to work one full day there and compare your daily earnings with the average you make in Lagos? Since drivers are not much there yet, I have where I can stay there so moving down and enjoy back to back trips before it gets saturated like lagos is an option

Hello great minds, just picked a rider from ikeja to sango otta on taxify and after ending the trip i saw 1,000(card trip). Rider also told me she's on promo but I'm yet to see any update as regards that on my dashboard. All i can see is the 1k displayed when i ended the trip. What can i do?

Let me tell a small story here, on monday I was up 5am and restless, so I decided to leave the ouse really early, by 5:45am, I got to the junction of my house and turned on my uber app, I decided to go any where the wind blows, in my mind last last by 10am I would be in my workshop. Got a request and then the rains started.

Picked up rider and destination was illupeju.

According to map, ojoduberger- 7up-ojota was the fastest way there, but rider turned to choir master and started giving her own directions oba-akran-maryland- illupeju. I first showed her the red markings of traffic, but she no gree, so me I am not in a hurry to anywhere, nah so the total journey come be 1h44mins (1 hr spent in traffic) when we got to destination, I ended trip and she saw 2350 she come de shout! Said she only has 1500 but I should give my acc for the balance, me I read the rules to her, cash or card, I don't receive bank transfers I said we can go to an atm, she said she's already at work. In that case I said there's nothing I can do, You can leave have a nice day. She came down and I got another trip from same parking lot back to near my area.

Dropped passenger and pressed the report button, got a reply 20mins later that the trip I will be refunded.... Blabla bla they added another 500 for inconvenience sef. I smiled (uber for president!)

5hrs later I received another message, report on poor route, rider reported poor route trip now 0 naira
I mailed back I want my money refunded or DEACTIVATE ME I NO DRIVE AGAIN.

Omo next series of mails where sorry, please show trip and next thing I was refunded 3593naira for the 2350 trip.

Long and short there are a lot of fraudulent riders out there and from now on, once you sit in my vehicle I will ask 3 questions.

1. Where you de go?

2. If cash do you have cash on you or are we going to atm?

3. You want to play music? My auxiliary port is not working and I don't have Bluetooth so please use ur earpiece

I met a Taxify driver in Cardogan Estate, Lekki on Saturday and he told me how he almost got robbed off his car by a rider he picked up around 8pm on the Island.

He said he guy keeps taking him from one location to another, just to while away. At about 12am, he told the rider to let him go that he has to go home to his family but the rider insisted that he take him to some other few places and wants to buy some bottle of beer for the driver but the driver said he's not interested in drinking but going home to his family. At this time, the trip fare calculation was 9k plus according to the driver.

The driver said he politely told the rider that he's not interested in the 9k plus that he will end the trip so the rider can order another, the rider insisted he takes him to few places and he will be on his way home. Fast forward to few mins to 4am, the driver insisted he's not going any where, asked the rider to get down so he could go home that he has not been out this late before and then, the rider got furious and start threatening to deal with him. The driver said he sensed some fowl play and decided to drive towards the nearest police station around Sangotedo (I can't really remember the name of the place the driver told me) then the pounce on the driver, gave him a punch on his face, before he could say Jack, the rider gave him another, removed a dagger from the bag he was carrying. The driver said he usually uses his seat belt like that of Danfo drivers, so he was able to remove the belt over his head and jumped out of the slowly moving car and ran towards the police station.

When he got to the police station, he reported the case and some police men followed him to where the left he left the car and the car was still there(luck on his side) but the rider made away with the Car key and his phone. The rider said he suspected the rider ran into a near by bush and waited around with the police men to see if the rider turned armed robber is gonna come out of the bush. Lo and behold, here comes a man in a Navy kaki coming out of the bush carrying the same bag the rider was carrying and he managed to recognize that it was the rider that tried to rob him that was in Kaki. He alerted the police men, grabbed the guy, gave him some beating and the police took him to the station.

The driver said, after the police profiled the armed robber, he turned out to be a real Naval Officer (i shock!). The driver said he was told those military men are now into stealing/hijacking of cars.

When I asked about the case in the police station, he said the armed robber has been released, he said those police men pleaded with him not press charges cos the Rider/armed rubber/Naval man will be dismissed if the case gets to court and he agreed to let go. The driver told me he took a shot of the robber and showed me.

B.S: please be careful of riders that carry bag at night, if possible, don't pick up any rider that has a bag at night .

If you have more muscle than me I think twice before carrying you, I no sabi fight again

Engine is still sharp, though mileage is above 170k.

Even if I buy a mifi for backup, Is there a way to use both phone network and mifi 2gether to solve such issue.
If so which mifi do you recommend, I use Etisalat on phone.

You can't totally avoid it, next time do not complete the trip if you notice the fare is unreasonably low, click on fare review/review fare instead
