dru23: That I agree with you 100% .. Most partners are not hands on.. Most can't even maintain their own car ,let alone cars for uber.. A lot of these partners just want the driver to start money right away... And that why a lot of them give up or by stay by the fence...
Drivers have their own fault too .. First of all I maintain all my cars . The maintainence is 100% done by me either small or big .. So I had one driver ,that drives for me . The first few weeks things were ok and than out of no where he was constantly going to my mechanic.. It now became a situation that we were fixing the same issue over and over again.. So my mechanic called me and he Oga , can you give me permission to talk to the driver .. I said why , he said this your driver dey use this motor enter bad road too much .. He said even if na highlander self go get this issue coz the way the driver dey drive .. So he spoke to the driver . And I spoke to the driver, and the driver stated that uber blocked him . And for him to meet up ,he had to do taxify.. And he can't reject request other wise he will not meet.. So after that incident he has been doing ok .. And also he sign up for Ocar. Another driver that I met here early Feb . I gave him the car in good condition. He test drove the car to make sure no issues at all . He came back happy and I introduced him to my mechanic.. My mechanic address his concerns and he fix them.. So first day on the Job, driver called and said somebody hit him . And that he will take the car to my mechanic. Since he is aware that I do 100% of repairs and maintenance.. I said no and he should drive the car home. When I looked at the car ,you can tell he was at fault.. So I told him he can go home and I will him later. It cost me 60k naira to fix the car , so driver started calling me and mechanic. He wanted to know when the car will be ready. I just ignored him and he called my mechanic tired. Until he finally got the picture.. I was so upset and angry . And he came back on nairaland looking for rental . I just kept shut and I figure whoever gives him car will regret it .. He was on nairaland for months looking for a car ..
My point is that we have to hold partners and drivers to a standard.. We can't just blame partners all the time . Drivers too need to be held accountable too . You can write story sha Bros how far na, long time |

Freshprince91: Dokyoloye, the general term 'Oga' can be an hallmark of respect among contemporary Nigerians but its different with these Olosho girls especially with their tone . You need to walk a mile in our shoes to understand what we go through . One just ruined my day as i am typing this. When i got her request at Lekki , i put a call through to ask for destination and she flared up, so i tried to explain that I've been dodging VIO officers for sometime due to my broken tail light, that i have been extorted on this job enough, so i'd like to keep away from their troubles (12pm -3pm) even though i knew i will be at fault, if they apprehend me but ain't gat the money to buy a new brake light, she hissed throughout the call and later VGC. Midway through our journey, i perceived some foul smell, i had to open the window for fresh air but the odour didn't go away, Damn! When we got to ikate, i told her i need to pull over to check what's smelling, only for me to discover that this girlie don shit for body inside my chacha leather seats Ford Mondeo It was nauseating and before i could utter a word, she vomited. I had to rush to get her water to clean up. My car is messed up already and the only word she mutter was i will give you 500 naira to clean your car at a car wash. I felt like slapping this skele and after i managed to take her to her destination, rudely, she said she does not have any money on her, that the person she came to see is not picking her calls . She didn't even give me the pleasure of an apology. This was someone who lashed out at me for not putting on my AC before i drove to her street, hissed at me because my car charger didn't recognize her iPhone cord. What would you do in that situation? Eeeww. How did you later find out that she shitted lolzzz. Did you smell her bum abi she just came out clean on her own |

Mins later I checked my app and saw the bonus added to my money. I was really happy. Fast forward to Sunday morning. I checked again, the bonus is no longer there. My trips also reduced by 1. All efforts to reach Bolt since then not working. All the messages I sent to them are not reflecting. Any way out? Most likely cause: You've done a very short trip which their bot has wrongly flagged as fraud to get bonus |

ndubuis: And you think riders cannot plant stuffs in your car? Let's assume that was a proper police check: You get down to open the trunk while leaving a rider in the car, rider is having a weapon or a banned substance, gets nervous knowing that the police may search him as well when they are done with the booth, drops the substance in the car, maybe on the driver's side. Police comes to search the car and finds what rider dropped. Rider denies knowing about it. Tell me who will be held? This scenario would have played out in real life. You should never let your guard down. Everyone is a suspect, police, rider, etc. Na naija we still dey oo. In this scenario, police will ask every occupant to step out, it has happened several times. But to ask your rider to step out because you want to open your booth is WRONG |

ndubuis: I will get out with the driver if that's what he wants. So long as he's polite about it. Some people here are not getting the point. I am not against going out to open my booth for security check, I have done that for police a couple of times before. Point is, I cannot leave strangers I met in less than a minute to remain in my car while I'm out, not when I have valuables there. If you have a flat tyre while on a trip in a hot afternoon, would you a ask your rider to step out in the sun till you finish changing your tyre? I will advise you to keep valuables at home when you want to work or lock it up in the glove box. Another option, put your valuable where all eyes can see if you have to step out so you can easily know if it's missing by the time you step back in |
