Quinn22: True! And the diversity doesn't seem to end, because here comes Biafra. There is reason why i fight for an only yoruba republic. I do not want benin and itshkiri people to join. This is because we will form another "mini nigeria"...which will not be good for us at all. It will hinder our progress. The minorities will always complain of being marginalized. The igbos that attach themselves the niger deltans to form biafra do not know what is to come. They will regret they form a country with the niger deltans when the country eventually splits. Niger deltans themselves will have many problems, because of too much diversity. E.g Ijaws and urhobo, ijaws and itsekiri, benins and so on. I should not be talking about biafra anyways. |

seunmsg: Meaningful engagement with dissatisfied tribes. When people complain, whether rightly or not, they deserve to be listened to. It gives people a sense of belonging. Once that is done, government can then crack down on those still hellbent on causing trouble with their utterances. People who make treasonable statements across all tribal divide should be arrested and speedily tried. It is called the carrot and stick approach. When you have 300 ethnic groups in a country, how many will the goverment listen to? What about hate speeches on the net? Is that not enough to cause trouble in the land? If you start arresting them, how many will you then arrest? Let me tell you that those youths got this hates from the internet. They saw insult against their people and decided to react. It will be better if the country splits into at least three. |

Regionalism will change nothing. Can i also tell you that our diversity is also a bad system. Dont get me wrong. There is nothing wrong in diversity. But when you have 300 ethnic groups, and there are 3 majority, with each one of them making up 20 percent of the country's population, then that itself is a bad system. |

I dnt just understand why u people will purposly tell obvious lies.. it beats me. Did you just say yorubas dont invest in the north? Men, dont say that again oo. There are many yoruba people in the north. The only place i know yoruba people dont have interest in is igboland. The average yoruba aim is to travel out of the country. The ones who stay in niger-area travel to the north and south south, but there are few yorubas in the east |

If that is the case, then let us split. Why is it too hard for us to do? Why do we like to lie to ourselves? We have never been united before......not even in jonathan's regime. Yoruba form oodua republic. Igbos form Biafra republic. Hausa form Arewa republic. Minorities for minorities republic or whetever. |

If you doubt this fact; try to minus the south-west from the rest of the country then your result will make you to believe in this fact. The yorubas are the lions of the tribe of Nigeria take it or leave it. Yorubas knows no boundary interm of wisdom, power, love, loyalty, knowledge and hospitality. So because other ethnic groups could not phantom these prowess of the Yorubas now makes them to be jubilating in their ignorance. You are proud that you are the one holding the country. What is there to be proud about? We are not the ones holding this country. We are the ones confused about what we want. When the country separate, i hope we will be prepared. |

I need a source to verify. The northerners should declare arewa republic and stop saying shiit. Let them support referendum and let people vote if they want nigeria or not. Stop forcing people into a country they do not want. Yoruba, igbos, and the niger-deltans are tired of this mess called nigeria. If the northern reps support referendum, this will gather enough vote for us Support referendum and let us decide our future. It is not by force to live in a country that was created by the british. Abeg let us go! We are not compatible! |

Nigeria is not a nation. It is a country with several nations. Yoruba people are a nation. Igbos are a nation, hausa, ijaws, benin, are nations. If yoruba people have their separate country, then oodua republic can be called a country and a nation. It will be better if we split into different countries...so that there will be peace and progress. |

AromePeter: Some people really think they have an opinion to share even though it's from a misinformed state of mind. One of the advantages of the Internet is, it has afforded this kinda people a platform to air their views... School in Nigeria with a malfunction institutions, you need to be an outlier & think outside the box to talk and do differently... We have example of nations that were more diverse and populated than Nigeria and still went on to use this as a strength to build a great nation. Things sometimes gets wrong to get right. All foundations are builds differently. If ours wasn't well laid, we are not too old to rebuild, reform and restructure... No great nation had it easily. Do your research and prove me wrong! The problem is everybody wants it sharp sharp in Nigeria. That's why we have the yahoo boys, kidnappers, cases of armed robbery and all manner of social vices I the country... Nobody wants to do due diligence and be patient to start a business or a movement and be patient to watch it grow and flourish. But people, businesses and even nations that has endured, tolerated, and worked diligently has been proven to be great and successful Mention the countries. You dont know what you are saying. There is nothing like "diverse nations". Correct yourself |

It will only increase ethnic tension in the country. Dont you guys learn from your father's past? You want to repeat their mistake. Total disintegration is the key, not regionalism. If we yorubas have our country, then we can practice regionalism. |

I think they can get it but you know what? An Igbo man from Anambra is still fighting an Igbo man from Enugu or Ebonyi. No unity. Bro, that is not my point. I am also in support of a balkanized nigeria, but i know fully well that nigerians will not vote an igbo as president. This is just the truth. If you think i am lying, then ask about 20 non igbo you see in the streets if they will support an igbo being president and see their reply. The truth is that nobody will vote an igbo as president. They can only rule themselves in biafra. I am a yoruba man from ilesha and i support nigeria disintegration. This is my stand! |

Chiwude: Nobody will vote an Igboman, are you for real? Says who. I want to believe this is just the opinion of many hate filled yoruba like yourself. Okay what if I tell you that nobody is gonna vote a yoruba man as President again till Nigeria disintegrates. Obasanjo may remain the last president of yoruba extraction from the look of things. If you're in doubt, bring forth a Yoruba presidential aspirant and let's see if he's gonna even come second. The north knows your antics, the south-south are itching for revenge and the south east are waiting for an opportunity to serve you the cold tea. So who is fooling who now? i dont expect nigeria to live beyond 2019. And if it does, it will still be a matter of time before reality hit us. Like i said before, i will never vote an igbo as president. Better fight for biafra. Else, you are deceiving yourself. Igbo man can never become president of nigeria. It is just the truth. You should appreciate at least me for supporting biafra. There are many nigerians who wont support biafra, and also not support igbos presidency....which is bad. If you think igbo will rule nigeria, then try bring forth an igbo to run and let us see if he will win the west talkless of the north. Anyways, biafra is your hope. Fight for it. |
