PoliticsRe: Who Is The Worst Performing Governor In Nigeria? by deeobserver209(m): 11:42pm On Aug 20, 2014
Kenai: You sound pained. Did you make that assertion with the aid of a "freedom guage"? Try not to let your emotions get in the way when making a debate.
Anyway, I've said what I have to say on the issue. Plateau State has woken up, and is charting its own course. Not an appendage of Arewa any longer, and certainly not going to be so any time soon.
Well said. smiley That dude is just an apologist to Arewa Cult.

I see lots of pips spewing trash on this noble topic. No matter. I will like Op's next Topic to be: Who is the worsest Nairalander on Nairaland? That should get us rolling.

Well. Good one there. However water resistant phones are not our major need in this part of the world.
All we need is cheap data package.

BusinessRe: Nigeria Sinks Deeper Into External Debt by deeobserver209(m): 12:51pm On Aug 20, 2014
barcanista: And I am telling you that average Nigerian DON'T earn N495,000 per year. That will tell you that the so called GDP is "BOGUS". The Gross National Income of Nigeria is laughable. The Gross National Product is abysmal. My Friend both our GNI and GNP that forms integral part of a country's development is nothing to write home about. It is not about "paper" GDP figures my friend.
Of course am not saying the average Nigerian earns that amount. What the statistics show is gross income inequality. So much money is still being controlled by few people. That's why the government needs to do all it can to develop the informal sector. The N200b small and medium enterprise lunched yesterday is a good start.
BusinessRe: Nigeria Sinks Deeper Into External Debt by deeobserver209(m): 12:28pm On Aug 20, 2014
barcanista: Nigeria per Capita N400,000? Brother, how wicked art thou? Average Nigerian DON'T earn up to N400,000 per annum. stop lying dude.

I like objective discussion.
You still don't get it.
Nigeria's current GDP is $510b.
Nigeria’s population is estimated to be around 165 million.
When you divide the GDP by the population it will give you the per capita income.
Example: $510,000,000,000/165,000,000 = 3090 that's $3090
I was conservative with the statistics because we are still dealing with estimated population figures.
Jokes EtcRe: Breaking: Liberia Ebola Patients Display Zombie-like Symptoms ..(see Pictures) by deeobserver209(m): 12:08pm On Aug 20, 2014
This Ebola epidemic really reminds me of the movie: Resident Evil sad
The disease is just out of the ordinary. I said several times that Ebola virus was biologically engineered and modified.

barcanista: I don't respond to NOI "paper appraisal". What is the Income Per Capita of Nigeria?
The Per Captita Income should be around $2500 to $2800.
BusinessRe: Nigeria Sinks Deeper Into External Debt by deeobserver209(m): 11:44am On Aug 20, 2014
barcanista: This report has confirmed my earlier position that Jonathan is operating a Government of Fraud. When President Obasanjo came to Power, Nigeria's External debt was $35bn. President Obasanjo successfully cleared the debt and left a Reserve of about $45bn. In contrast Jonathan has depleted the Reserve and has punged us into a huge debt.

Jonathan must be kicked out of power in 2015
What matters most is the debt/GDP ratio which happens to be around 12 percent. That is not a bad situation considering current economic conditions. Besides there's no country in the world that do not have one form of debt. Infact some of the biggest economies around the world have huge debt ratios compared to Nigeria. What the country needs to do is to spend wisely by developing productive sectors of the economy like Agriculture, Manufacturing, Tourism etc.
We must not forget the fact that some states contributed to Nigeria's debt profile by engaging in indiscriminate borrowing in the name of infrastructural development. Most times the funds borrowed where not put to good use, thus ending as a bad debt because the funds mend for the improvement of the economy of these states where completely mismanaged.
BusinessRe: Nigeria Sinks Deeper Into External Debt by deeobserver209(m):
Rising debt is one of the characteristics of an emerging economy. It's left for the government to control it's spending and focus on developing the most productive sectors of the economy especially informal sector. Am happy the President flack off the N200b small and medium enterprise loan sheme yesterday. That is a milestone considering the impact of small and medium enterprise on the economy.

PoliticsRe: Army Will Soon Crush Boko Haram, Says COAS by deeobserver209(m): 1:18am On Aug 20, 2014
Obviously the fight against terrorism would have been won had it not been for some Saboteurs within the military. There's nothing more dangerous than having insiders within, working hand in hand with Boko Haram terrorist to frustrate efforts of our soldiers. An enemy within is more deadlier than an enemy outside. The military hierarchy should do what ever it takes to root them out as soon as possible to face the FULL wrath of the law.
More grease to the Nigerian Army.
Foreign AffairsRe: Hamas Resume Rocket Attack On Greater Tel Aviv by deeobserver209(m): 1:06am On Aug 20, 2014
Hamas brought this war on themselves. Why take on an opponent that is obviously greater and more powerful than you? Just look at the infrastructural damage and the massive lost of lives they suffered. embarassed The annoying part of it is that they use innocent civilians as human shield. This is cowardice to the highest order! angry
Israel and Hamas need to bury their bitterness and come together to find a common solution to their never ending conflict. A two state solution is the only way to resolve this conflict. Israel got to show some restraint with their use of force. The collateral damage on civilians is unacceptable.
EducationRe: Students On FG Scholarship Begging For Food In Russia by deeobserver209(m): 12:50am On Aug 20, 2014
This is obviously the failure of the Nigerian Embassy in Russia. One of the major problems facing our foreign missions abroad is the inaction of some of our embassies. Though most of them are on a tight budget schedule. They need to be funded adequately to carry out their duties.

But who gives ashit anyway, only the most idiotic of the PDP apologists would even bother to believe this nonsense.
Yes we agree it was a made up story. But you and I know that Nuhu Ribadu might be thinking of something like this in his heart.

He's always in the news for the wrong reasons.

PoliticsRe: New Map Of Nigeria, As Proposed By National Conference- Confab by deeobserver209(m): 10:21pm On Aug 19, 2014
It's a noble idea. But will be counter productive given the current structure of Nigeria. Except we decide to practice True Federalism which is what we should have been practicing all these years, creation of new states now may lead to more financial problems.
PoliticsRe: See New Map Of Nigeria With 19 More States Proposed By National Confab by deeobserver209(m):
States creation will naturally evolve when we practice True Federalism in Nigeria. Any state created now base on the current structure of Nigeria will be counter productive.
PoliticsRe: American Police Kill Another Citizen. Where Is Amnesty International? by deeobserver209(m): 9:56pm On Aug 19, 2014
Too bad. Just when we thought the dreams of Martin Luther King had been fulfilled, this crap is happening. sad
The police officer responsible must be arrested immediately. Guns and Knifes are miles apart. Not enough reason to kill anyone just like that.
This is the kind of case where you won't find Amnesty International especially if it got something to do with one of the developed countries. They did rather bury their heads in the sand and pretend they didn't know anything about it. But if it were Nigeria, hell will be let loose. angry
