The amount doesn't really matter anymore. Less than ten can take out the world today.

And only one on that list still doesn't say it has them. And still claims to be for good and order.

See striking semblance! I guess the man truly deserves this honour for doing the legendary Patrice Lumumba and his home country honour with that resilient display of patroitism. To maintain that motionless status for 90mins is not mean feat

The late Patrice Lumumba is a historic Congo democratic icon that was unjustly betrayed and killed by Mobuto Seseko in collaboration with colonial Belgium under Leopold because he resisted exploitation of his people
+
And sadly, many here will never understand Patrice as they continuously advocate subservience to imperialism.

The credence I assign African traditional religion is anchored in a recognition of the moral compass provided for believers by those ancient modes of worship, much in the same way that the Holy Bible's Ten Commandments could be regarded as a universal code of conduct distilled over centuries, for adherence by all who seek harmony with others by displaying compassion and refraining from inflicting harm.

A traditional African hunter who sneaks through the forest stealing animals from the traps set by others, has transgressed Ogun's statutes.

A person who deliberately harms others with premeditated acts may be warned to desist and repent for fear of invoking the wrath of Sango.
+
Great. I personally have respect for traditional religion. In much, even far above the Abrahamic ones.
The ethics of the ten commandments are generally good. The first four centre on the Jewish deity though, which I dont believe in.

Those ethics, as you said, are universal and should not be credited to the Jews alone.

As humans age above 60, their physical height can in some instances diminish to less than their earlier lifetime's stature, due to a subtle curvature that develops in the spinal column of some individuals, and the slight compression of the cartilage disks that separate the backbone's individual vertebrae bones.

My sole encounter with Wole Soyinka was decades ago, and he towered above my 6 foot-one height, at that time. Now that you mention it, there is a slight forward stoop in Kongi's stance, as can be discerned from recent video footage as the man resolutely proceeds north of 90 years young.
+
Yes thats why I mentioned age as a factor.

Ogun is the God of Iron who presides over the activities and destinies of blacksmiths and hunters in Yoruba tradition, just as Sango is the God of Thunder who harnesses the formidable power of nature when the skies turn grey and the ground trembles to the sound of inbound rolling thunder.

Do you believe in or practice African Traditional Religion?

This might be true. I stand 6 foot one inch, and Wole Soyinka stands at least 6 foot 4 inches. I know this for a fact, having been surprised at his towering physical height and athletic bulk when I first saw him at that time.
+
Something must be misaligned. Either in terms of where either of you were standing, or vantage point or age. Because I have also stood beside him and he cant be any where near 6'4. But the difference, and why I added age as a factor, is that I stood beside him in his old age.

Note that Abacha and IBB were very short.

Wole "Kongi" Soyinka, an African Lion in the Winter, whose storied life straddles the nebulous demarcation between mythology and history.

Over 90 yet still in robust health thanks to a lifetime hiking rainforests and savannas alongside fellow hunters and barefoot philosophers.

Wole Soyinka, a prolific literary icon for the generations in Africa, and far beyond her tumultuous shores where the sea meets the sand.

I was privileged to have crossed paths with this physical and intellectual giant once, many moons ago, when he pulled up at the wheel of an olive-drab Jeep and poured fourth traditional libation to mark the denouement of a chronicle not unlike his own.

Great man.

You are missing an entire half of the picture. Was satan the AC engineer that also taught them to do Good? Remember, it was not only evil that the fruit opened their eyes to.

Again, you seem to be writing a new bible. The bible we have says they had no knowledge of Good and Evil, but you have changed it to, " they had no knowledge of how to commit evil.

But let's stick to the good part for a while. If we must believe you, it should also mean that Adam and Eve had no knowledge of how to do good. They knew good could be done, but had no inspiration/motivation for it before satan the AC engineer, taught them

I have been asking deep questions probably before you were born and it only led me closer to the truth.

The reason why you are unbelieving is not because you ask questions, its because you have already decided the answers to your questions. Its because of your laziness.

You'll understand it the moment you know what trigger or enlightenment is. When your eyes suddenly open and you come to the realization of something that's always there but now been seen differently. That's the type of knowledge we're talking about here as regards doing evil.

I don't think you'll ever understand.

And you should understand that the person who entices you to do Yahoo is also going to be your teacher.
+
I don hear.

I know that evil exists but I may not know how to do evil. For instance, you know that Yahoo crime exists but you may not know how to do Yahoo. And of course, you may decide never to do it. You could eventually do it if you were enticed.

The absurdity is in saying that one creates evil also does evil. That means there's no purpose for anything. God just just creates things to do them.

All lies. Bring me the so called scriptures.

Probably because you know too little about what I am reasoning about.

Didn't I say that you don't understand many things?

Evil is a spiritually tangible force that can be unleashed. Same as Good . That's why we say "Hey, he has a good spirit." That means the person does good good. Good exists but not everyone does it. Evil exists but not everyone does it. Both exist because they were created not because they were done. If God does evil without creating evil. He'll be the only one doing evil because He didn't create it. If The does good without creating good, the same logic applies.
+
Pls forget this matter. It is absurd to say that one creating evil is doing no evil.

Aside from this, scripture is full of the many abominable and despicable acts of Yahweh.

I have create a thread that should help your research in that direction if you're sincere.
Nah. Not with the kind of reasoning you're offering here, I would not want to waste my time.

I don't need to mind. All I know is that the creator or soccer needn't be a footballer. Creation is different from Action.

And I know that your god has no Creator ID. Otherwise, you would have dangled it in my face as I dangled Yahweh's.
+
I don't have the strength to go round in absurd circles. That's why I say never mind.

There is no difference between creating evil and doing evil. Evil is not food which one can make and not eat. It exists in its very nature. Anyone creating evil is doing evil. This is not something I can start going around in circles about.

You are right about my perception of God. Because I am agnostic mostly, so I pretty much have very little to say on that. I just have the notion logically and intuitively that there is an ultimate cause or source. Beyond that, I really don't know or claim to know much.

So, creating is the same as doing?

If Good and Evil are not created, how can anyone do them? God created them. They exist. That does not mean God does them.
+
So God creates evil but does not do evil.
Gotcha.

LordReed - "Word evil does not mean evil."

And you read about all the extra biblical historical evidence in that same Isaiah 45 and all about the Book of Daniel only to conclude that God doesn't exist? I laugh in Swahili.

I told you, you don't understand many things.
+
I believe God exists.
Yahweh, in my view, is not God.
