Very true. No truer words have been said
I mentioned something like this in my previous chats with helinus, or whatever his is name.

So let me get what you are saying. Using inflation has illustration. You meet inflation rate at 10%. You came to power and carried it to 30%. And you made sure the inflation rate does not go below 20% and doesn't supercede the 30% mark, so we should praise you for what exactly? Reducing inflation?, making inflation stable? or raising inflation?

The thread: https://www.nairaland.com/8511373/dollar-no-longer-king-atiku#136669806

You claim inflation has reduced, yet, it ain't reflecting in the lives of Nigerians. And yet, Tinubu supporters will tell us that the economy is in the right path guided by the right man. Dey play. Just dey play.
Fraudulent rebasing of inflation unknown to economics wambe as well oh.

There was a recent news report online that Israel was cooperating with Nigeria to fight terror with Israel's high tech armaments and drones.

One can only hope this joint endeavor commences right away all over Nigeria.
Any country which wishes to maintain its security, independence, the security and independence of its high level state, avoid control by blackmail should stay far away from any Israeli security or technological assistance.

ANY country.

Why didn't all these countries distance themselves from Russia, if truly there is any iota of concience and morality in global politics or UN or international law
So you see ordinary announcements by any nation means nothing
Countries were active all over the world what do you mean. Even a delegation of African Presidents tried to intervene, notwithstanding that we have little to no say in anything.

The reason Russia is still standing today despite what it has done is western hypocrisy, simple and short.
What country allowed Putin on its soil recently? Yes, your USA.

All this shows is how much you will twist around to say all is well with this government. Nigeria needs better citizens, honestly. I keep telling you integrity is key and I hope you dont have to find out later in life.

Oh but you want to leave it up to one country, the USA to decide right?

Am not talking of veto any country choice of decision, but to turn it to a reality require more than just any outside country decision
Fact is more than 150 countries already recognize Palestinian Statehood.

What you are confused about is UN membership.
Its step by step.

Genocide and apartheid advocates will lose.

Common sense should tell you poverty in Africa through famine is an avoidable predicament by the government of the affected countries, While in Gaza the case is a deliberate famine caused by Israel to massacre the poor Palestinian children by blocking medical aids and food into Gaza, Now tell me, which God fearing or God serving nation would do that if not the incarnates of Lucifer disguised as Sheep but are now confirmed wolves?

Just imagine you being a father and your children were blocked from receiving food and medical attention because Tinubu instructed the Army to wipe out Boko Haram.

Common sense is indeed not common.
It is obvious who the Israel of today are.

i don't need the refineries to work, though would be glad if they could. i have come to realize that it is more important for us to stop fuel subsidies and get private refineries working than spending huge amounts annual on turn around maintenance of refineries and Ajaokuta for decades. Like Dangote said recently, it seems those things are never going to work. Except we just spend so much to make them work for ego sake. What Tinubu has focused on are the major like improving our O and G sector which he has done and is doing greatly.
oil theft is at its lowest in over a decade. Export is also up, which is great.
You don't need the refineries to work. Ok, are you just realising that or would you have said that when this government was celebrating fixing them?

What a thing to say.

Countries like America, Russia and China are fully aware that granting a state to Hamas is like rewarding terrorism.
Smaller states can recognize the state of Palestine, it's their business.
In 1948 over 6 states recognize the state of Palestine and waged war against Israel.
BEFORE U CAN TALK OF RECOGNIZING THE STATE OF PALESTINE, HAMAS MUST SURRENDER FIRST.
Lol. So you don't know that both Russia and China recognise Palestine and the USA is alone in this madness?

Botragelad:
This is both ridiculous and disgusting. Israel decides what happens, and if these countries are so determined to recognize a made-up place, there’s plenty of land in Europe or even parts of North America where they can set up a “Palestine.”

No rational person should ever reward terrorists with a state. If that’s the standard, then anyone could just invade a country, slaughter thousands, cry “genocide,” and expect to be given a state in return. By that logic, should we start rewarding Boko Haram, ISIS, and every other terror group just because they claim to be fighting for some ideology?

At the end of the day, this so-called recognition is meaningless. The dismantling will continue, and Israel will do whatever it takes to protect the people of Yisrael.
Weep. Hamas has achieved its objectives. They have baited the hatred of you and your Israel into buying world sympathy and greater recognition.

Recognitions withheld for more than seven decades have been achieved by this.

You have no idea the strategy game here.
No matter what happens henceforth, Hamas will validly say it was worth it.

Don't worry. Just wait. Like with South Africa, nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.

It’s so easy to pontificate and point fingers when others are involved. Show me your reaction to the Pandora paper revelation about Peter Obi. Every single public officer helps themselves while in office. Peter Obi stole public funds while in office. So, why make it always about others when it’s a general thing?

Whether the houses belong to Wike or not, had it stopped him from performing excellently well as FCT minister? So he should now be sacked as FCT minister because his wife bought some houses in Florida or what?
Yes, stealing most of the funds available for public use under you clearly must impact the development of your country.

Protest ke? Not in a million years. Nigerians are too traumatised by poverty, insecurity and fear to carry out any protest. Nigerians would rather beg, collect crumbs from the floor of politicians to defend them, or at worst commit suicide by jumping into the Lagoon, than facing army or police bullets.
Nigerians have been completely conquered or rather colonised. The are not even allowed to complain or criticise against government or government officials much less protest.
Further taxes, increments coupled with another massively rigged election may just ignite something, you never can tell.

Atiku did not stop him, well meaning Nigerians from all parts of the country stopped him. Every single pro- democracy activists worked against the third term ambition. Atiku simply joined the bandwagon because he wanted to become president in 2007. Bola Tinubu, the only AD governor as at that time mobilized all opposition lawmakers to vote against the bill. The day the bill was to be put to vote, then General Mohammadu Buhari was personally at the gallery of the Senate chamber to ensure that constitutional amendment supporting third term was never passed into law.
