PoliticsRe: Who Represents The South South Zone? by DeepSoul(f): 7:00pm On Jul 07, 2006
Orji Kalu is an eastern governor. Obong is the one at the helm of looting in Akwa-Ibom, Despite his acclaimed leadership skills, I doubt he has enough political clout for the position. Same with Donald Duke, He'd do well as a VP and not the president. Odilli has to be "the one" amongst the trio, He stands a higher chance as it is right now, I personally wouldn't support him tho.

I used to be a Chris Okotie supporter until the emergence of who I see as a perfect representative of the South-south - Pat Utomi. It's not even about the geo-political zone thing. I'd support him even if he were from the east! I just think he might be it!

It has got to be Orji Kalu! Aba is the dirtiest town in Nigeria!
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi Or Donald Duke? by DeepSoul(f): 2:07pm On Jul 06, 2006
Bliv it or not, Donald Duke is part of the cabal,
I'd choose Pat Utomi over Donald Duke. U talked about going for the new and discarding the old. Pat Utomi to me represents the new, a breath of the much needed fresh air!
BusinessRe: What Business Can I Start With 4,000 Naira? by DeepSoul(f): 1:27pm On Jul 06, 2006
Firstly, the tutorial idea is excellent. The only start-up capital u might need is money to buy chalk smiley.
If the books required cannot be found on the library, what then do you have the internet for!? There are lots of stuff u can read up for free! (I'm assuming you have easy access to the internet with u being able to logon to nairaland).

With five thousand naira (all u need is an extra 1k), U can register for a seminar (saw d ad recntly) which teaches u how to make money online. B4 u start rolling ur eyes, there's a promise of a refund + extra 2k if u dont make that amount and more within a given period of time. For more info, checkout www.realcashcentre.com

Goodluck!
BusinessRe: Kwara Agricultural Project by DeepSoul(f): 1:00pm On Jul 06, 2006
Unfortuantely, it IS a govt-controlled programme. And we're usually psychic when it comes to the govt, we can guess how they'll fare eventually.
I wouldn't have had as much problems with it if it were to be privately-run. Afterall, we have enough of the "foreign thing" in the oil and gas sector.
EducationRe: Course Carryover. by DeepSoul(f): 12:49pm On Jul 06, 2006
Remark ke? In this part of my schooling world there's no such thing as a remark o! Considering how messed up the educational system is, If u get a carry over, since they do not know what a remark means, it's in ur best interest not to confront the lecturer, who do u want to report him or her to sef?

Just carry urself jeje and re-write it and hope the "eyes of the enemies" don't see u or ur paper the next time!

I hate to sound pessimistic but they (they being the govt and its cohorts) all start up sounding "ambitious"! Where does that eventually lead ushuh

2ndly, I took the paaaaaaaaiiins to glance thru some of the articles and I couldn't help but notice the phrase "white farmers" laced in almost every sentence! And it just goes to further prove just how the average Nigerian sees the white man - as a sorta "mini god"! We have this mentally which I see as wayyyyyyyy backwards - the mentality of not being good enough or not nearly as good as the "white man". It can be seen everyday in 9ja.

Walk into any establishment (offices, schools, even churches!) in YOUR country and u'r treated like u'r not important. And just maybe u aren't. Fine. The annoying part is how these same fellow Nigerians treat pple with a different skin colour differently, like they deserve better! Even in our own country! U go to their countries and u'r treated like trash. Fine. Na u carry ur leg go there. What I see as intolerable is when that same thing happens in my domain. I could go on and on about this and be able to write a 1 million page book!
I'm glad there is some form of opposition to this "idea" because like some senators rightly said, it WILL lead to racial discrimination and land wahala which I'm sure we had pots full of in the colonial era!

And no, I'm not forgetting the positive effects it might have on our economy, I'm only wondering why it didnt work wonders for the wrecked Zimbabwean economy! Imagine Zimbabwe being considered as "foreign", Oh puhleese!
