@Big B1, I doubt u'r in any position to come to that conclusion. & I'm not comparing 9ja with Zimbabwe per se! My point is, all we do here is complain and call our leaders all sorts of crazy names! What good does that ever do? U'd rarely see a Nigerian sit down and talk about the good stuff! And blive me, there are good stuff! No matter how few! Yes, what goes on btwn #1 and #2 does affect us but surely not something like that! By d way, when it comes to comparing our country with others (eg US), we are excellent at doing that! If we arent, we'd have a lot less complaints than we do now! |

From all indications, I doubt that'll happen. According to him, he's under "pressure" from his PDP colleagues in the senate to reject the offer. But if he does accept it, it'll appease the Igbos! Maybe? |

EFCC is working. What I'm not sure of is how real it is! The arrest of Amaechi is just one way of distabilising Odilli and probably putting a bit of fear in him. Why would the "powers that be" want Odilli shaken being that he's been seen as "annointed" for so long? Why would Odilli, despite all the money he's spent campaigning, suddenly withdraw from the presidential race? He's been sufficiently threatened, that's why! Why is he being threatened all of a sudden? Surely, EFCC isnt just realising how much Odilli has finally outsmarted himself. He was the brain behind the 3rd Term Opposition (while pretending to fight for it!). How two-faced eh? Unfortunately for him, money changed hands btwn him and the wrong person and Baba got to know about it but didnt do anythin about it till now! This is just the beginnin of Odilli's troubles. As we will say, e don be-zzle for am! |

In my opinion, 2007 is gonna be worse than 2003. @Chidichris No need 2 ask if we're gonna experience selection! It's already happening! The legislators-in-waiting are already a proof. The PDP primaries for intending governors is already sufficient proof of what'll eventually happen. INEC, PDP and Ribadu are aLL controlled by the same person - OBJ At this rate, only God can help! |

Sympathy votes have worked before. But not in Nigeria. She doesnt stand a chance in poltics as dirty as can be seen here. She should not miss her husband that much to want to join him this soon! I seriously doubt it was her idea in the first place. Methinks it's just opportunists pushing her to it. They should leave the poor woman to mourn her husband well jare. And besides, she isnt even an indigene of Lagos State. Surely, those who are indigenes would not just siddon and look! |

Fine, it turned out 2 be a bunch of "fire crackers". Question 1. If they were as harmless as being claimed, why did the alleged terrorist refuse 2 open the bags initially when he was being questioned? Question 2. Why was did he "plant" the bags aboard a plane he ddnt plan to be on? We hear he was gonna get 2 d same destination by road, Question 3. Why did Fani Kayode give out unconfirmed info? Does he know what effects that could have on Nigeria and her economy? Final Question. Why was Fani kayode made Aviation Minister?? All the way from Culture & Tourism! Good thing they've both been impeached. But after all the drama, what next? Fayose is a murder "suspect". Is he gonna be let off the hook that easily? The way Tafa Balogun was! Whether or not he's making plans to "disappear" to another country or has already done so shouldn't stop justice. Afterall, there's such a thing as Interpol. We really dnt need "time" to know whether or not Obj's house is made of steel or glass. As it is, it is glaringly obvious! It is soooo glass. Fragile glass too. Obj is gradually buying up Nigeria through his so called Obj Holdings which is a major Transcorp shareholder. It is unconstitutional for a serving president to be involved in "by the side business". He shd give us details of vast wealth of Obj Holdings and why there's such a huge difference btwn what it was in 1999 and what it is today. |

Funny, I've been screaming that same question since today as per Independence day . I almost cried when I read your post because scenarios like that occur ALL THE TIME. @Cyprian Yes, you've been watchin too much 9ja films! It's rightly pronounced "Odenshi". Lol. I've heard so many stories abt it and I really dont know if it does exist. Maybe. Maybe not. But that's not the issue. The issue here is the nuissance called the Nigerian Police. I dare say situations like this (ie stray bullets) happens everyday in different parts of 9ja which we dnt get to hear abt. Pls lets not bring the Obj Vs Atiku war into this matter but acknowledge how much threat these so called police pple pose to innocent individuals on a daily basis. Isn't it ironic that we now have to protect ourselves from those supposedly in charge of protecting lives and property. Ironic and sad. |

Why oh why are we so so so pessimistic?? Jeez! Fine, we arent were we ought to be given various reasons why we should be BUT we. are. not. stagnant! In some areas, I'd say we're moving forward while some other areas havent been as quite as "lucky" but that doesn't mean we are moving backward. Not quite. @Chxta Odili is definitely doing a "better" job in that regard! Chimaroke is not the most corrupt. Ther's no such thing as "most corrupt" amongst the governors. Some are just greedier than others while some are just plain smarter and know how to hide their tracks better (eg Odili) They are all corrupt! It really is pointless tryin to single out some as "most". |

People, half bread is better than none o! Think abt Nigeria say 10yrs ago, None of what's happening could hav even slightly manifested itself bk then! EFCC is partial blah blah blah. Yes, they are not "there" yet but atleast we should acknowledge how far they've come and be optimistic abt them getting "there" eventually. Methinks it should be seen as a gradual process, So for now, let's be a bit satisfied with the present efforts they'r making shall we? |

I'd choose Timi Alaibe. Goodluck Jonathan is just there by chance. He's benefitting from another's man's misfortune and that, he shd be grateful for. But trust humans and how greedy we can get. The dude now wants more!!! Unfortunately for him, he's every inch as (wats d word?) as Alameseigha. His wife's sister was recently caught at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport with $1, 000, 000 cash!!! When the media reported the story, they promptly bought all the newspapers in the state since it's such a small state. R these pple like under a "steal like a fool spell" or smthn? They THINK voting does not make a difference. They do not trust the electoral process. YET, it's the same pple who will open their mouth and say elections were rigged or complain abt how inefficient our leaders are. If u do not vote, u do not have a right to complain! |
