Nairaland GeneralRe: If You Had The Power To Control People by DeepSoul(f): 4:07pm On Apr 20, 2007
Of course I would use it. Only when necessary tho!

Eg : When Nepa takes light, When ManU
needs to win FA cup, EPL & Champions League grin

I wouldnt use it to make someone attracted to me because it wont be genuine and that's bad for the ego!
PoliticsRe: Another Election About To Be Conducted In Edo And Co by DeepSoul(f): 4:01pm On Apr 19, 2007
Anambara needs elections more than any other state! Besides, this is just an opportunity to re-rig.
PoliticsRe: Between Obasanjo And Tinubu; Who Is An Achiever? by DeepSoul(f): 3:14pm On Apr 19, 2007
On what basis is Obj's govt the best? Increased lack of electricity? Disregard for the rule of law? Increased poverty? Lower standards of education? Increase in the price of petroleum products? Increase in food items? Kidnap of foreigners? Increased unsolved and unsolvable assassinations? On what basis?

AT ORIGINAL QUESTION: Neither Tinubu or Obj are achievers. (My opinion!)

But, if there has to be an answer, Id rather say Tinubu is less of a non-achiever than Obj is.
PoliticsRe: Inec Chief: Pdp After My Life For Losing Abia State by DeepSoul(f): 2:24pm On Apr 19, 2007
PDP is a monster. The issure here isnt whether or not any1 rigged. A person's life is being threatened just because Abia wasnt "delivered"! What's that?? Which rules states that PDP must win in specific places? It's such a shame because prior to the elections, this same person was part and parcel of the PDP cabal. It just goes to show how much life is disregarded by these monsters! How sad!

PetsRe: Ever Cried At The Death Of A Pet? by DeepSoul(f): 10:06pm On Mar 25, 2007
Two weeks ago, I got a puppy with the most adorable eyes. (My 1st pet ever!). I was just staring at him today wondering what I'd do if I lose him. The thought alone was enough to get me to tears!

PoliticsRe: Obj Is 84yrs According To Orji Kalu, More Funny Campaign Promises by DeepSoul(f): 8:28pm On Mar 19, 2007
What has Obj's age gotta do with good governance? And who issued the birth certificate sefhuh?

Uzor Kalu is a clown! He hasnt succeeded in making the dirtiest city (arguably) in Nigeria clean, it's to provide world class health care! Oh puhleese!

Just the dirt from Aba is enough to send pple to early graves! Rubbish!
Christianity EtcRe: Did Hiv Test, came Out To Be +. Wat Should I Do? by DeepSoul(f): 8:17pm On Mar 19, 2007
Having HIV dsnt mean you'll die any moment from now! According to Seun, stick to anti-retroviral drugs! U never know, a cure for HIV might be very close to us!

Discrimination can hardly be avoided as his status cannot be known to just close family members. I had to do an HIV test about a week ago and believe me, it wasnt voluntarily!

There r some situations where you just hav to go through it,mandatorily.

However, keep ur faith! With God,impossible is nothing and nothing is impossible! By His stripes we are healed!

The Blood of Jesus is stronger than HIV!
SportsRe: Arrested During A Game Of Pool by DeepSoul(f): 8:01pm On Mar 19, 2007
Atleast in ur case, their reason was almost "legit-sounding"!

Abt an 3hrs ago, I was in the salon whn a man walked in complaining he'd just been arrested.

His offence? He stopped on d road to ask an aboki what the naira equivalent of $100 is! Immediately he was told, the police (dressed in mufty) swamped in on him, took him to their station and asked why he was enquiring for the naira equivalent of $100! He subsequently had to part with N1,500 to secure his fredom!

Isnt that just plain crazy! Those entrusted with the duty of securing our lives and property are now the same pple we try to secure our lives and property from! Isnt it just ironic!

Isnt it bad enough that they cant do their primary duty - secure lives and property. Do they have to make it worse by posing as a serious threat to innocent pple?! DO THEY!

RomanceRe: Do We Really Need To Fall In Love? by DeepSoul(f): 7:28pm On Feb 19, 2007
I see there are a lot of heart broken people here!

FIY: There's a difference btwn companionship and love

Yes we need to fall in love. (Or what we think is love). Even if it's just for the sake of satisfying our curiousity.

Some call it temporary insanity. Well, yeah! But train loads of people are curious about what it feels to be temporarily mad! Even you!

After all this plenty talk, love still makes the world go around! (Although, personally, Im dizzy from it!) Think about it!
PoliticsRe: Governor On Trial For Owning 172 Houses by DeepSoul(f): 5:58pm On Feb 13, 2007
172 ke? Is it me or does that sound really abnormal?!

Im sure the 172 houses can give all the homeless people in Enugu shelter!

Sometimes I wonder if it's the same God that made me who made these criminals! Really!
PoliticsRe: Are Militants Fighting For Development Of Niger Delta Or Themselves? by DeepSoul(f): 3:47pm On Feb 08, 2007
Lol@Mkren

U make it sound so easy! U think you'd simply tell them 2 desist and they'd obey your every word?

Of course they know it's a criminal act and it's wrong!

The future of Nigeria is already being determined by criminals, sadly. (Looters are criminals!)

And besides, I strongly believe they are backed by "Higher Criminals" or they wouldn't be as (wat's d word?) as they are!

These militants are regular people. U might even know some of them without really knowing!

PoliticsRe: Are Militants Fighting For Development Of Niger Delta Or Themselves? by DeepSoul(f): 7:02pm On Feb 02, 2007
They are definitely fighting for their greedy selves under the guise of fighting for "the people"!

They are just capitalizing on the inefficiency of our leaders to get 'quick cash'.

So at the end of the day, the fault lies with the government!

This is just a form of armed robbery, methinks! A worse form cos it's having negative effects on the Nigerian economy.
PoliticsRe: Reports Suggest Obj Blocked Okonjo-iweala As Un Vp. by DeepSoul(f): 6:17pm On Jan 23, 2007
Some pple are beginning to miss the point of this thread. Her performance as minister isnt exactly the issue here.

Did Obj refuse to endorse her for the position or not? Some say it's just speculations and go ahead to trash Nigerian media. We may not know how true it really is since the Presidency has denied it. (Dont they always do!)

But at the end of the day, Okonjo Iweala was the most suitable person for the job amongst other nominees. It was almost certain she was going to get it but at the last minute, it was given to someone not as suitable as she is. Doesnt that just ring a bell?

What manner of selfishness?!

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria A Failed State? by DeepSoul(f): 5:45pm On Jan 18, 2007
@ Saintchux
I admire your optimism. But then, in the process of being oh so optimistic, you might run the risk of being unrealistic.

Being realistic, Id say 9ja is a failed state. Sadly so. Sayin that does not give me any measure of joy whatsoever but it is what it is.

Sometimes, Im like you, never giving up hope, seeing all the positives as opposed to the negatives and all that but when it comes down to it, can you honestly tell yourself that Nigeria as a state isnt a failed one?

Do not lie to yourself.
PoliticsRe: Cross-titutes by DeepSoul(f): 6:41pm On Jan 08, 2007
They may not deserve sympathy but they end up getting some of it anyway! Especially if they were being "oppressed" in their original party.

In my opinion, there's nothin exactly wrong with prostituting if it's done for the right reasons (eg different ideology) but even prostituting has laws governing it, I'm sure! It should be done properly!

PoliticsRe: Come May 2007, Goodluck Jonathan Will Lose In Both Ways by DeepSoul(f): 7:31pm On Jan 06, 2007
The only way he'd lose the vice presidency seat is if PDP loses the election. And we all know how unlikely that is!
PoliticsRe: A Prediction Says Yar'adua Will Spend 62 Days As President by DeepSoul(f): 4:18pm On Jan 05, 2007
Good thing about these "Nostradamustic talents", we dont have to wonder for too long. In a couple of months, we go know the true story.
PoliticsRe: 24 Hours Electricity In Rivers State? by DeepSoul(f): 4:09pm On Jan 05, 2007
Whn I saw the title of the thread, I almost flipped! 24hrs! We'd be lucky to see 10hrs!

Methinks the power situation in Rivers has become worse since they commissioned the so called 60 billion naira "generator"!

@Chidexy
I think Bayelsa is now finally connected to the grid. They really weren't missing much anyway!

Being optimistic, I think the power situation, generally, will get better soon. Who'd have thought we'd have a functional telecoms industry, say, 8yrs ago?
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Reinstated As Gov Of Anambra State by DeepSoul(f): 6:02pm On Dec 28, 2006
The court cannot wake up without Obj's approval. He's 3 in 1 - controls all three arms of govt.

If Peter Obi's impeachment has been nullified, Obj definitely wanted it so. Like some1 said, he probably did it as an act of cleaning up his dented image so he'll look like our own Mandela!

Peter Obi on his part might have also struck an agreement with the "powers that be".

Anywhich ways, as long as the right thing is being done, no wahala.

The only bad thing is we'll lose our 1st and only female governor!

PoliticsRe: Obj Removes V.p Atiku From Office by DeepSoul(f): 7:36pm On Dec 25, 2006
Obj has no respect for the constitution. Surely that isnt news!

@Big B1
Point of correction! If 3rd term process was successfully implemented, more of this rubbish would be taking place!

I have this strong feeling that the judge (OBJ) shall be judged someday (On earth!) He'd beta enjoy his "powers" 2 d maximum b4 that time comes!
