Its so annoying. Had to take out a whole hour from work today to ask the customer care lady for my statement, which she printed and gave to me. After pointing out the various hundred naira debited for monthly account maintenance( imagine debiting me in March 2013 for November 2012 mnthly account maintenance)and the ones for annual maintenance charges, den I asked 4 d procedure 4 closing d account. After I did, d customer care lady began apologising, saying that the bank is considering stopping d deductions. I'm jst tired of dt bank, walahi!

And to answer d op's question, my favourite combo bk in the Uni was Egwusi and Oha soup, in d absence of which I can make do with Egwusi and Draw(okro or ogbono, but preferably okro) soup. And cos I dnt eat red meat, I prefer fish or white meat.

PS: That doesn't mean I can't eat without mixing soups or prefer eating mixed soup. Jst that in those Uni canteens, they frown at the demands of only one soup and the quantity, wen eventually served, won't be sufficient enough as to when the soup is mixed. Like I said in my earlier post, at home we don't mix soups and that's ok/perfect for me. I can go on Egwusi or Oha soup for lengthy days witout having any feeling of monotony.

aryzgreat: we igbos don't mix soup, either eat egusi alone or eat bitter leaf alone, but vegetables like ugu, bitterleaf etc can be used to garnish any soup. i hate soup combo, it makes me wanna throw up! yuck!

Dude, dnt say that. Ibos also mix soup. I am a full blooded Ibo man plus I schooled in a University in the S/Eastern Nigeria. Back den in Uni, I was shocked to discover that we mix soup lyk... U guys help me out,I dunno wt 2 compare it wit.
Most, if not all the restraunts are owned by Ibo women and wen taking your order 4 swallow foods, by default, they'll always ask which soup combo u want.
I grew up in a home where we don't mix soups even up till now, but I got 2 learn it in the Uni.
So in summary, Ibos do mix soup too. Infact, they do it a lot.

Gracious10: These are not deadlines but suggestive of what's proper. But please understand that the estimated time is for one single relationship at a time. If one fails and you find another, its a different r/ship and should be gives same amount of time.

When r/ship fails is the time to set ur self apart to figure out what happened with the previous one and how to tackle such issues so they don't resurface in subsequent r/ships. I will say give urself at least 4-6 months before starting another.

Ok, I get it nw. The time frame u stated earlier wz for one r/ship. And trust me, I wudnt rush into another r/ship. A 4-6 mnths assessment period is ok by me.

As a Christian lady, wt do u expect a Christian brother to say wen approaching you 4 a r/ship? Shud it b d "usuals"? Cos sm people will go with "God said..." and in the end, the r/ship might nt lead 2 marriage.

Gracious10: Oh I agree with u completely. If u can't get married in space of 2-3 yrs, just don't date. Temptations are better avoided than managed!

What if one starts dating, say, 2 yrs to getting married and after about a year and half of the first relationship fails. Luckily finds someone else and has got to date for @least a year and half before tying the knot. This would imply overshooting ones deadline for marriage.

In essence, why not say 4-5 years (or longer) so as to make time (not intentionally though) incase there would be any failed relationships? U can never tell!

PBundles: How does the saying go again, you can lead a horse to the stream but you cant make it drink. Thats a tough one since to be honest this is not cut out for everyone. Even those that choose banking may not like or want a career in IB and at times I dont blame them. As I mentioned before its about grasping concepts quickly, relationship management etc. You also share in the success of large corps and their development. There is a kick, at least for me to see on the news a transcation come through that you have been working on. You also meet people you would not have met otherwise
(I met the head of TATA steel and his son during a transaction some years back). Also the pay is good, but that shouldnt be the driving force, though to my dismay,many are in it for that.

Though I've nt discussed dis wit her, my fear being dt I wudnt want 2 b d 1 "pushing" her in2 it and wudnt also want her 2 accuse me of causing her "woes" (if any, in d future).As for her MBA, God willing, dt shud nt b a problem 2 handle.
I jst want advice on hw 2 go abt gettin her 2 buy into d idea of a career in IB witout her seeing it dt I'm tryn 2 force her into it.
