Some people may see this post as controversial. There are many reasons why I say I can't date. It's not that I have a problem but it's because I think dating is for people of little mind and low standard. It is such a frivolous thing to do when I have much more serious issues to deal with. If your own reason for dating is to have a life partner, then you are going about it the wrong way. Dating doesn't make you get the right person, searching does('...he who finds') and you can't search effectively when you are hooked up with someone. Dating is like settling for aluminium while I can be patient and dig further and get the gold I want. Dating can help you waste time,energy and resources that you would have put together to make you a person of worth.
Dating is so uncertain as the wind and that is why many people keep several dates. You feel so insecured and unstable.
Someone may ask, 'then how do I get married if I don't date?'. If you are a lady, I'll advise you stay at your place as a pearl,maintain your pride,keep your dignity and honour and that man would get to you. For the gents, I'ld say be diligent,disciplined and hardworking and you would attract that pearl. For both gender, I'ld say above other qualities, be GODFEARING,for only will you find His will for you.

Apart from the educative and general expository aspects, I've discovered that some people on NL are gifted in insulting people mildly. I mean after reading their statement, you will have to read again before you will know that it's an insult, and you'll end up concluding in your mind that "They may be right o".

Any little mistake in grammatical construction will lead to being quoted with no other comment that "gbagaun". Well, I know that's the poster's fault. But how can someone deal with receiving (bad) comment because he/she has posted a topic that had been discussed in the past?

This can discourage some people from posting.
