The more I read excerpts from madam world Bank the more disappointed I become. She thinks Nigerians are fools, but it is she that is making a fool of herself.
I wish I could copy and paste some of the ridiculous statements she made in this page.

First the Excess Crude Account is illegal and foreign to the constitution, there are no laws governing it's creation and operation. So anything done in that regard is illegal.

The money in the Excess Crude Account does not belong to the FG, but to all three tiers of government, so even if it was illegally created and managed by the FG, monies cannot be spent from the account without the accent of the three tiers. Okonjo-Iweala is talking like the money is the FGs, to spend or save as she likes.

The book says "He was strongly supported by Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo state, who was very vocal in his disapproval and suspicions of the Federal Government’s management of the Excess Crude account"
The main problem was the Governors did not trust Okonjo-Iweala and her principal with their money.

Finally, the governors were not after FG's money, they wanted their own money, is it by force to help them save their money for them. What happens to the share of the money controlled by Okonjo-Iweala? Why did she not save the share of the Excess Crude Account under her control?
Okonjo Iweala is a complete failure.

Buhari backs Oshiomhole for APC national chairman

By: Augustine Ehikioya

April 25, 2018

Former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole looks set to become the next national chairman of the the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the majority of the governors elected on the platform of the ruling party backing him.

At a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa last night, the governors, led by Progressives Governors Forum Chairman Rochas Okorocha, proposed to the President their interest in the former labour leader.

Sources at the meeting said the President did not object to the request.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari also attended the meeting.

Seventeen governors attended. Two were represented by their deputies.

Seven governors: Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Ibrahim Gaidam (Yobe), Mohammed Abubakar (Bauchi), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa) and Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), were absent.

The issue and the endorsement of the President for second term by the governors were the only isues discussed at the meeting held at the First Lady’s Conferemce Room, sources said.

The party’s national convention to pick members of the National Working Committee (NWC) will hold in Abuja on May 14.

After the meeting, Okorcha said all the 24 APC governors were backing President Buhari’s second term bid.

The President at the last APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, declared his intention to seek another term.

Okorocha said governors communicated their support for the President’s reelection.

He said: “We came to welcome him back and to commend him for his boldness and courage to declare his intention to run for second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which we the 24 governors of the APC duly support.

”And we have come to encourage him that he must go ahead with his vision,” he added.

According to him, the meeting also addressed the coming convention and congresses to make it hitch-free.

”We also agreed that we will not allow the issue of many contestants to destroy our party.” he said.

Asked if Oshiomhole’s endorsement came up, Okorocha said the public would be “duly briefed in due course”.

Lebanon paid $462 Million USD for 6 Tucanos in 2015.

Transmittal No: 15-13
WASHINGTON, Jun 9, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Lebanon for A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $462 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on Jun 5, 2015.

The Government of Lebanon has requested a possible sale of six (6) A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, eight (cool PT6A-68A Turboprop engines (6 installed and 2 spares), eight (cool ALE-47 Countermeasure Dispensing Systems, two thousand (2000) Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems, eight (cool AN/AAR-60(V)2 Missile Launch Detection Systems, non-SAASM Embedded Global Positioning System/Initial Navigation System (EGIs), spare and repair parts, flight testing, maintenance support, support equipment, publications and technical documentation, ferry support, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. Government and contractor engineering and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistics support. The estimated cost is $462 million.

This proposed sale serves U.S. national, economic, and security interests by providing Lebanon with airborne capabilities needed to maintain internal security, enforce United Nation’s Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701, and counter terrorist threats.

The proposed sale of these aircraft will provide Lebanon with a much needed Close Air Support (CAS) platform to meet present and future challenges posed by internal and border security threats. Lebanon should have no difficulty absorbing these additional aircraft into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractors will be:
Sierra Nevada Corporation Centennial, Colorado
BAE Systems Nashua, New Hampshire
Pratt & Whitney East Hartford, Connecticut
Terma North America Arlington, Virginia
L-3COM Systems West Salt Lake City, Utah

There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

Implementation of this proposed sale will not require any additional U.S. Government or U.S. contractor personnel in Lebanon. However, periodic travel will be required on a temporary basis for program reviews and technical support.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

This notice of a potential sale is required by law and does not mean the sale has been concluded.

All questions regarding this proposed Foreign Military Sale should be directed to the State Department's Bureau of Political Military Affairs, Office of Congressional and Public Affairs, pm-cpa@state.gov.

This is what your Sowore shared few months ago. If he is suffering from Amnesia like yourself, some of us don't. The guy is proving to be a fraud day in day out.

At the moment, there’s an ongoing court case between Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore which led to a court ruling to freeze the accounts of Sowore.

Now, the New York based publisher has taken to social media to share screenshots of his bank accounts in Nigeria and America saying, ‘Please understand that my Nigerian accounts have been frozen via a kangaroo court order obtained from a Jankara judge in Ilorin, Kwara state’.

See his full post below…

Folks: Let me just act goofy today by declaring all my private bank accounts publicly just so that so some of you can get some answers you need.

It is important to let you know that the Bank Of America (BOFA) bank account summary being bandied around by Bukola Saraki and his minions yesterday was manufactured since last week. I do not have a personal or investment account at BOFA.

However, after hitting them hard yesterday revealing their fraudulent legal judgements in Ilorin, they had to resort to something.

These screenshots of my accounts both in the US and Nigeria were taken today.

Please understand that my Nigerian accounts have been frozen via a kangaroo court order obtained from a Jankara judge in Ilorin, Kwara state.

My confirmed cash balance across two (US and Nigeria) continents as of this morning stands at $6,213 minus $6, 100 and debit card balance of $100 frozen in my GTB account. My account balance in Naira is less than N2,000.

My available bank cash today in the US is approximately $13!
I also have close to £10 left from funds that I exchanged while in the UK this weekend.

Mind you I am not seeking anyone’s sympathy, there is no need for it.

Omo-Agege: Senate panel chair, Marafa, Ndume trade words

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege

Leke Baiyewu and Ade Adesomoju

The crisis between the proscribed Parliamentary Support Group and others senators deepened on Sunday, as the senior lawmakers threatened to expose their colleagues in the PSG.

Some senators, who confided in The PUNCH, said contrary to the claim of the PSG members, they (PSG senators) were not working for President Muhammadu Buhari. Members of the PSG are against the amendment to the Electoral Act.

The Chairman of the Senator Committee on Petroleum (Upstream) Senator Kabiru Marafa, who spoke to one of our correspondents on Sunday, stated that efforts of the pro-Buhari group had been counter-productive to the success of the President.

The Senate had two weeks ago proscribed the group but its members had rejected the proscription. The upper chamber of the National Assembly also suspended Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who is Secretary of the group, for dragging the Senate to court over the Electoral Act amendment.

It was further learnt that as part of the group’s plans to fight back, the PSG , at the plenary on Tuesday (tomorrow), would challenge the ban on the activities of the group by the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Marafa however challenged members of the PSG to come forward and express their grievances as they have planned, threatening that they would be exposed on their anti-Buhari activities.

“Let them come. We will confront them and tell them the truth to their faces. Let them call themselves anything but for God’s sake, they should not call themselves lovers or supporters of Muhammadu Buhari. They don’t support him; they don’t like him. That is the truth.

“The President never came out to say he needed anybody’s support. If you are talking about the elections sequence, he did not say he wanted somebody to support him; he only said he did not support certain clauses in the Electoral Act 2010 Amendment Bill,” he said.

Describing members of the group as hypocrites, the lawmaker recalled that they betrayed Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress by working against their candidates for the Senate leadership in 2015.

Marafa specifically cited the anti-APC/Buhari roles played by Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Ali Ndume, who are now leaders of the PSG.

He recalled that while the ruling party and the President chose the current Majority Leader, Senator Ahmad Lawan, to be the Senate President, Adamu and Ndume rooted for Senator Bukola Saraki who later became the Senate President.

He said while those loyal to the APC and Buhari were members of the Senate Unity Forum, Adamu and Ndume had pitted their tents with the pro-Saraki’s Like Minds Senators. He added that it was later that both of them and several others “defected” from the LMS to SUF.

“If they are truly lovers of Mr. President, why did they queue behind the Senate President that time? Where was Ali Ndume? He was part of the Like Minds. They rebelled against the party and against the President. Why are they now creating another body to say that they are supporting the President? When the President asked them to do something, they refused to do it.”

The lawmaker added, “If Bukola Saraki is a devil today, who installed the devil in the chamber? Are they not the people? Are they not hypocrites? They are. If Bukola Saraki is a devil, who crowned the devil as the Senate President? And from the time Bukola Saraki ascended the presidency of the Senate to this time, what has changed?”

Responding, Ndume said Buhari would now know who was more loyal to him (President) between him and Marafa.

He said, “I don’t want to take issues with Marafa. He is a senator and I am a senator but that is not to say that we are all the same.ý All animals are equal but some are more equal than the others. The good thing about this is that Buhari himself knows me, knows Marafa; and he knows who is Marafa and who is Ndume.

“If at the beginning I was not with Buhari and now I am with him, and then he was with Buhari and now he is with Saraki, which one is better? ýLet us agree with what he said: at the beginning I was not with Buhari and I have now realised that Buhari is good and decided to be with him. But he was with Buhari and now, because he was given Petroleum Downstream (committee to head), he is now a defender of Saraki.

“The good thing is that Buhari knows me more than Marafa because I only met Marafa in the 7th Senate but I have been with Buhari since 2002. I only knew Marafa in 2011.”

Another senator, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, recalled that he had initially signed on with the PSG but was forced to back out of the group when he realised that it was “self-serving.”

While dismissing the claim by the group that they had “over 50” signatures to their credit, Marafa challenged them to publish the identities.

Meanwhile, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, on Sunday visited a female sergeant-at-Arms, Mrs. Sandra Davou, who was injured on Wednesday by the suspected thugs who invaded the Senate chamber and snatched the mace.

Saraki described it as a “sad day” and “a disgrace” to Nigeria’s democracy, while calling for unity and firmness in eliminating “all such undemocratic tendencies.”

Davou and her colleagues had struggled to stop the thugs but she fell in the process.

Saraki, who was accompanied by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; Senator Isa Misau and Senator Baba Kaka Garbai, was at Davou’s home in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

In a related development, Omo-Agege has denied signing the report by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, which recommended the suspension of Ndume in March 2017.

Mr Man, I brought my evidence. Where is yours? I don't want to call you lazy. Because Jonathan did not rush to commission the project doesn't mean it wasn't finished. Grow a pair and stop being emotional.
Jonathan that was desperate towards the end of his administration, will showcase buying a pen as achievement.

Read here to see the true picture of things.

This is a January 2016 news report about the status of the Project....

Hope dims on N170 billion Abuja-Kaduna rail project

According to a contract agreement signed with the Federal Government on October 22, 2009, the Chinese construction firm was expected to complete the job in 46 months which should have been in December 2014. Yet, at present, most of the critical aspects of the project are still under construction.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, citing insufficient resources to fund the nation’s entire budgetary needs, had announced that his administration had secured about $900,000,000.00 from the China Export and Import Bank, through the Federal Ministry of Transportation with the active support of the then Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

The credit facility which was granted under the permission of the Chinese government, stipulated that the loan would be released in tranches by way of shipment of hardware such as steel rail tracks, structural equipment, earth movers, concrete bridges, Chinese trucks, concrete sleepers, precast T-beams, for the laying of rail tracks covering 187 kilometres.

Other components of the project such as the provision of modern railway engines, cabins of various categories, personnel, securing frequency band for communications, are the sole responsibility of the Federal Government through the Transportation Ministry.

According to an investigation, the level of track laying so far is about 80 per cent completed though it had been about 70 per cent just before the last general elections.

It is expected that the remaining 20 or 30 per cent work on track laying as well as completion of the nine stop stations should have been completed by now.

Also, none of the proposed nine stop stations has been completed, even as the pace of work remains slow.

There is hope, however, that with the present administration’s determination to ensure complete infrastructural development in the country, due attention will be paid to the completion of the project.
