PoliticsRe: Fastest Growing Economy In Africa In 2018 By World Bank, IMF by deji68:
You asked for the proof, and i gave u... world bank data said we had the 3rd best GDP and the people could feel it back then.... why we borrow to pay salary or why countries like America , Germany borrow to fix their budget deficit is another topic, it has nothing to do with GDP....
docadams:
Leave PMB out of it momentarily. You haven't addressed the issue I raised. Be categorical on the the veracity of my curiosity. If in doubt we can revisit it. So again I ask, why did we have to borrow to pay salaries in 2015 in the face of a fast growing economy?

PoliticsRe: Fastest Growing Economy In Africa In 2018 By World Bank, IMF by deji68:
Well, with -1% to1,9% growth under PMB ...u see double digit inflation....double digit unemployment rate...weak Naira...We didnt see that under 7% growth borrowing to pay salary is not an economic indicator, if what u said is even true...
docadams:
Ordinary citizen like me relies on what I see around me as the basis for forming an opinion. So if we attained such a lofty height then, how come the FG resorted to borrowing to pay salaries while many of the states where many months in arrears in salaries? Not a good sign of a fast growing economy.
PoliticsRe: Fastest Growing Economy In Africa In 2018 By World Bank, IMF by deji68: 10:27am On Jan 11, 2019
In 2014 and early 2015, Nigeria was named the third fastest growing economy in the world by CNNMoney, with China and Qatar, taking the lead at 7.3 percent, 7.1 percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth.

PoliticsRe: I Am Happy There Was No Fuel Scarcity This Year – Fun Seeker by deji68: 11:40pm On Dec 26, 2018
Wel u are wrong we have had more scarcities under this gov within a period of 4 years.... some even lasted up to 3 months...

First one was in Sept-December 2015. For 3 months,
Second one was in April/May 2016
December 2017
February 2018

zedman1:
Let's be frank, we only witnessed fuel scarcity December 2017 since the inception of this government. And no tomatoes in the market in December of 2016 or so Only. I refuse to be like the average Nigerian. We only make noise about the wrongs and never celebrate the rights. We don't keep record of history too.

Agricultural revolution has seen a vastly improved local production to the detriment of importation, while we have achieved surplus in our trade balance. Similarly, infrastructural deficit has been greatly reduced with significant improvements in roads, railways, aviation and power.
