As a person who knows much about the history of civil right movement in America, Pastor Bakare to me is the MLK of Nigeria.
You might hate him but he is far better than most selfish arrogant pastors that will rather fly in jets than to speak out on the crises affecting their church members.
I do not know Bakare personally or ever met him but to me, history will always be kind to him for being on the side of the oppressed and not staying with the oppressors like most Nigerian pastors would do.

Are you suggesting all Libyans hate Gaddafi? The only people fighting him are just bunch of black killing rebels who want to cause chaos,You can see that everytime the lamestream media show them on TV. Bunch of camera posing, gun shooting and fake rebels fighting Gaddafi with the help of NATO and you believe that is what Libyans want?

Why is everyone blaming the AU? The AU was against the war from the beginning and they went as far as sending representative down to LIBYA but NATO and the imperialist nation told the REBELS not to seize fire instead America,Britain and France keep arming them. So how is that the AU's fault and if you all remember same thing happened in Ivory Coast.
The fact is these imperialist nations dont give a damn about Africa or any African Union, you can see they always refer to this war as if its happening in Arab world forgetting that Libya is in Africa.
They used words like Arab revolution instead of Africa revolution or North Africa revolution, anyway Nigerians be prepared.
Foreign Affairs / Libyan Rebels Promised France 35% Oil In Exchange For Supporting Them by dejiariyo1: 5:04pm On Sep 01, 2011
Libya Rebels 'promised France 35% Oil'

Paris - Libya's rebels in April promised France 35 per cent of the country's crude oil in exchange for supporting the National Transitional Council in its fight against Muammar Gaddafi, a French newspaper reported on Thursday.

Liberation newspaper published a copy of a letter in Arabic from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Libya, the forerunner to the rebels' council, addressed to Qatar, in which the rebels apparently refer to a deal to give 35% of Libya's crude to France in return for supporting the rebellion.

The letter, which was dated April 03, two weeks after the start of the military intervention in support of the rebels that France had championed, said the deal was struck with France "during the London summit".

An international conference on the conflict in Libya was held in London on March 29.

France's foreign ministry told Liberation it had no knowledge of the existence of the letter.

An NTC representative was not immediately available to confirm the existence of such a letter.

French oil giant Total is one of several players in the Libyan oil market. The biggest oil producer in Libya is Italy's Eni.

Eni and Total have been tipped to emerge as the biggest winners in the post-Gaddafi era, given the strong support shown by their countries for the rebels.

As a black man we need to be objective and know what is really going on around us instead of believing all the rubbish propagandas they keep spewing .

Gaddafi might not be perfect, so is Dick Cheney that stole over a billion dollar money from Nigeria through Haliburton, and what about bush? He lied about Iraq, over a million innocent people have been killed.
So are these the same people who are trying to act holy and enforce morality in LIbya?
No Libyan is homeless but many people are on food stamps in America but they still think they better than this guy ? Common people, Open your eyes and see through the lies you are being fed.

Gaddafi was the only World Leader that supported the black civil right movement, he gave many of the black panthers money during the struggles,This guy alone has done more for black people in Africa than any other president of the world will ever do.
Gaddafi helped angolans during their war same as Irish against the british colonial power, did the same for venezuela and serbia when Nato invaded them in 1999, Gaddafi was the one that armed their people against NATO.

I accept correction on the terrorism statement. But telling me that the white man will come and solve our problem is the biggest mistake you're making. African leaders are millionaire at the expense of the suffering masses and you attribute the whole problem to slavery by the white race? If you talk about oppression of the black race in America, I will understand but certainly not the oppression of the black race by fellow blacks.

Another mistake you making, I never said the white man will come and solve the problems he created and benefiting from and why would i say that when am against everything the colonial rule ever brought to our land.

Everything in Africa did not happen by accident its a design to keep us fighting, its called Divide and Conquer tactics . When the enemies sees us fighting he laughs and keep counting his money.
Have you ever asked youself where the Guns in Africa are coming from? Africa does not make weapons but the most sophisticated weapons are in Africa supplied by the people who wants conflicts so they can continue to loot Africa.

If you think Slavery has ended then you are a joker,They never end slavery all they did was to take it corporate and trust the white man they marketed it well. Bro think outside the Box our problems is not cause we dont pray but we dont know who our enemies are, so we keep fighting the wrong battles.

The Asians you talking about have their identities and fought against the imperialist rather than imploring them to take control of their countries, so you contradict yourself there.

To be realistic don't you guys think Africa was better and working during the colonial era than things are now? Why do we keep on faulting the west when for about 50years of them allowing us to govern ourselves, we have proven to be greedy, self centered, and non reasoning in our approach to life and our fellow black race. I think it is unfair to always put the blame on the west when we fail to tackle and solve our problems from within.
As an African currently staying outside Africa where everybody care for their fellow country men, I keep on asking why we don't just reason straight and do things right for the sake of the masses rather than the politicians thinking they are demigod on earth, while the people celebrate them.
The British left a working Nigeria. What have our leaders done with the structures put on ground by our colonial masters? Sentiments should be remove from our analyses our problems otherwise we will still be in the same position in a hundred years to come.

You are the definition of what MALCOM X called House Nigga
Dont ever believe the hype,Afrika is way older than slavery and that is why i said take a book and read, The same colonial powers stole everything from Africa and made it the shamble of what it is today.
There is a building in London  its full of looted goods and its called British Museum, Most of the problems Africans are facing today is because of them.
Its not only Africa, look at all the third world countries they have all suffered from the hands of the imperiaist who at one time invaded their countries.Untill these people finally hand over the power they have on Africa,we shall always be experiencing the problems we have now.

Can we change society without changing ourselves? Can we change ourselves without changing society? The two processes can't be separated.

Good governance is not only basic needs but also ensuring your people can reach the highest levels IF THEY SO WISH unencumbered by bad laws or unjust actions.

Every libyan should be able to contest for contracts not just people selected on the whim of Ghadaffi.

Every libyan should be able to enrich himself/herself to the limit of his ability not being held back by the Ghadaffi.

Every libyan should have a right to rule his nation if necessary not having their every action watched by Ghadaffi.

Every Libyan should have a say in what happens to the country of his birth.

Yes he was a dictator.

he killed his people severally.
So so many disappearances and executions over the years.
He sanctioned the violation of so many people during this uprising just to demoralise the opposition.
he has been a pest to the african continent funding so many militant groups around africa and essentially causing chaos.
he has been propping up so many african tyrants with libya's wealth(spending their birthright to enslave other people).
his family has essentially been dominating 7 million other individuals and preventing them from exercising their free will.

You are still making the same mistake I highlighted.

They have more oil than Nigeria and less people than Kano city. there's more money per capita and any smart dictator would do the same. They all do( except for that  Mugabe).

your BROTHER LEADER( I laugh) is a dollop and a fool. a lying thieving idot and a true scum of the earth. He deserves any insults he gets.

All you closet socialists are just pissed because he has been revealed for the looter he is.
You are most blessed.

"My people perish because they lacked Wisdom"

All what you listed up there are just propagandas,No African leader and I repeat it has done half of what Gaddafi did for the African nation.
Nelson Mandela called Muammar Qadhafi one of the 20th century's greatest freedom fighters, and insisted the eventual collapse of the apartheid system owed to Gaddafi's support.

- Muammar Gadhafi, whether we like him or not, when you understand what this Brother has done not only for Libya, but also using petrodollars to help Africa – this man put into a bank billions of dollars to help Africa get their own satellite so that Africans in the USA wont have to call through Europe to get to Africa.
The Libyan guide put US$300 million on the table; the African Development Bank added US$50 million more and the West African Development Bank a further US$27 million – and that’s how Africa got its first communications satellite on 26 December 2007.

In 1992, 45 African nations proposed a 300 million Dollar project to launch their own telecom satellite, a French company from charging them 500 million Dollars a year in just fees. For 14 years, they pleaded the World Bank to fund them. Gaddafi put an end to this and offered 300 million Dollars to fund the project. In 2007 the satellite was launched, ONE OF THE REASONS FRENCH HATE GHADDAFI!

Gaddafi raised the standard of living with the Libyan people to the highest on the African continent and even the highest in the Middle East. He freed women who were Muslims to be a part of government, to be a part of a society where they don’t sit back and allow men to do everything.

Gaddafi spent $33 billion to create a marvel in the 20th century where they discovered water under the desert. And he invested $33 billion to bring that water up out of the desert for the people of bhengazi

Osageyfo Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Ture,Patrice Lumumba,Kwame Nkrumah, Gamal Adel Nasser were all mudered by the west because they wanted to lift up the idea of the Honorable Marcus Garvey-that there should be one Africa, Muammar Gadhafi spent billions of dollars trying to promote this same course: an African Union on the way to a United States of Africa.

- UN report that was issued around January 2011, a multi-country report gave Libya, and subsequently Gadhafi’s government, rather high marks and praise as early as January 2011 around a whole range of issues.

You still call this man a tyrant and a dictator ?

A man killing his own ppl is not acceptable ! But when NATO, AL QAEDA and foreign invaders do, wow everybody seems to enjoy the show!!
