Dear Dharmonisa,

Don't kill yourself by yourself, apply for pgc/d and move on. Never you dwell on what you can't change for now.

The feedback I have gotten from Canada Pgc/d are having high employment rate compare to master graduate.

Thanks

Dharmonisa:

If you submitted your application in VAC office in Abuja I will suggest go to Abuja but if you submit it at Lagos go to Ikoyi.

I hope this help.

valenti12:
Hello Everyone

For months I didn't go to collect my international passport after Canada visa refusal. I have emailed them recently and was told me my passport was sent to the Assistant Comptroller General of immigration service Ikoyi. I called the immigration service customer line and the first person I spoke to said I will have to come to Abuja but the next person I spoke with, the next day, said I should go to their Ikoyi office. The main issue here is that I am in Onitsha and won't want go to Abuja and not get it there and then go to Lagos. Please is there anyone that has an idea of how to recover my international passport in a situation like this. It's over a year now.

Nigerians seeking education in Canada are English language exempted. You just need a letter from your school in Nigeria proving that language of instruction is English language.

Zhuhilat:
thanks for replying.

I could see on the website when registering for the IELTS, that i have to write the name of institution i want the result sent too, but I haven’t applied to the school yet. (Because I thought IELTS first before applying)

So do i contact the school first, if i dont, will they discard my IELTS results?
I am applying to university of Manitoba canada

I know he got admission letter for a friend of mine with related background with yours.. So dm him jephehe not Jephephe
Raalsalghul:

Went to their website to check and it reads a thus as requirements:

"A two- or three-year diploma, or a degree, in business or a degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Preference will be given to graduates with a business diploma or degree. Engineering graduates should have business courses or have business experience and will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on their transcripts and work experience."

For a science student? No way, perhaps Jephephe can reveal some insights.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by dekere: 3:41pm On Jan 09, 2020
I am sure Conestoga College can offer you admission in their supply chain management course with your degree. Which Jephehe can confirm his school stand on that.

Visa approval is the ability to use your study plan to convince the VO is what matters.

Thanks

Raalsalghul:

Okay, so let's say a science graduate who has interest in Logistics should go for a PGC in Logistics/Supply Chain Management as the first step in switching fields?

How does that work exactly?

Would the school grant him admission considering his/her first degree and wouldn't that serve as a red flag to the V.O?

Your response will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Its depends on many indices as regards PR application, If you have fund immediately you complete 1 year you can subscribe to another 1 year in either project management, financial planning service or Global business management, at the end you will qualify for 3 years work permit.

Another factor is that how good you are with experience with the course to secure employment immediately its what really count in the PR application.

Laurendee:

Okay thank you so much. I noticed conestogac is often suggested here. I checked the supply chain there and it’s a post graduate certificate of 12 months duration. My question is since it’s a one year course I’ll be given one year pgwp. Is that enough time to start processing permanent residency or how can I go about it please?

Have been following Nairaland for years but this is my first time of asking a questions.........
I want to find something very important before continuing my student visa pursuit to Anderson college of Health, Business and Technology. 2012, I acquire B.TECH. in Urban and Regional planning and now am applying for a Diploma program in Business Administration to Anderson College of health, business and Tech.. I started my application on the 26 November 2019 and the whole processes came so fast that now I have to pay 25% ($2500) of the total school fees ($10000), then proceed for medicals ...Before I proceed, I want to find out if switching from an environmental related course to business management would affect chances of me securing a visa. I need advise on other factors such as ties and SOA ?? Thanks

Please house I need your candid advice on this issue.

My sister who is 22 years old just finished her OND from FEDPOEDE. I wish for her to seek study opportunity in Canada next year.

The total fund I have in my account is 7million naira only and a friend of mine in Canada has also promise to give her sponsorship letter.

Please does she stand a chnace of getting VO's positive approval given her age (22 years) and funding (7m cash and sponsorship letter from friend). Your responses will be highly appreciate.

Please don't attempt that you will be returned on arrival.

If I am in you shoes after considering all cons and pros I have to pick admission in another school that is ready to start earlier than Sept and transfer from your previous school to another one because No one knows what the immigration rules will turn out to be.

All the best.

deveid:
I recently got my passport stamped but the school resumes September 2020, is it possible to go to Canada around February and while away time.

For you to have detail assistance you need to update your post with the summary of your profile. Documents submitted, Employment info, Educational details etc.

Just gut rejection notifcation today:

Some of these reasons given are a bit confusing to me:

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

For the last reason given, I have three kids, husband and landed properties. Are these not enough? I don't have any relative in Canada.
Talimg about the limited employment prospect, I chose Computer Science. Is this not good enough?
Guys please advise me so I know what next to do.
