Longeria: Bunch of fools, they should add the fifth one, don't sleep with your wife. It's painful to realize that Amaechi and co who are desperate to stop the president getting second term are all in thier second term as governors.
HYPOCRITES.
I want Jonathan to know that the worst defeat never come from battle fought and lost, but from the one never fought because of cowardice. Go ahead and contest, let nigerians decide.
Yes, there is no thread as truthful as this. Two things are available to man. One of this man must die one day but how and when is what man cannot predict.
GEJ should not go back. The north cannot strangulate others all the times. Boko haram is still there posing strong problem and now an open war waged against others. What pains me most is Amaech and co.
Go on Jona, whatever the result, we will take. bunch of fools indeed.
PoliticsRe: No Nigerian Airport Among Africa's Best 10 by deletrue: 2:40pm On Sep 03, 2013
This survey may not be hundred percent correct. Even if it is correct, i will still applaud this government for putting a stop to the former steady downward fall this country was going. As it is today, agree with me or not, there is now a slight upward movement. In other words, Nigeria is experiencing about fifteen percentage progress. Some days, we will be there.
PoliticsRe: Why We Broke Away - PDP Faction by deletrue: 12:40pm On Sep 01, 2013
icon aus: you re wrong . some of you pretend not to know what is going on or are ignorant . The presidency went to the unexpected region which is not born to rule or yoruba hence the problem GEJ is having . just his root . The problem is that some people/tribes are not comfortable with where the president came from hence the attack and GEJ while trying to fight back he is labelled ethnic president . Some people are afraid of the rise of old eastern region hence the smear campaign and pull him down symdrome. The huasa and the yorubas should know that this country belongs to us all . So far GEj has out performed all other former presidents despite the security challenges . Nigeria is watching . I dont know how some people reason . You make the nation ungovernable to GEJ and u expect others to make it easy for your tribes man when he climbs the seat of presidency ; that is not possible . The south south had all along been supporting northners and s west even during the civil war and see how they are being repaid . I think they will fail . GEJ must be president till 2019 or no nigeria.
You and many others have just sat on the truth. GEJ is suffering temporarily since his performance is standing taller than every leader after independence. Come 2015 all these enemies, especially Amaechi will almost commit suicide. Its only God that can stop Jona, no other nigerian will stop him. Opposition parties and other enemies can mark some where. Why do these seven attend the convention in the first place? Am sure the ever foolish people think the convention is the best place to show their low level. If they believe themselves, let them join APC of register party. They are indeed among the list of 18,000,000 sick nigerians.

Tell me, who's more arrogant than the president himself and his wife who go about causing mayhem and feeling like demi gods?
You do need to tell us how you grew up. Already your thread carries with it who you are. In other words, you are simply a product of Baby Food. Children who grew up under the influence of Similac etc baby food are usually premature and therefore reason childishly. If you are normal, you will never compare the generally aclaimed arrogant and most insultive Amaechi with Jona whose tolerant limit is unlimited.

Promhize: Pls, am not trying to derail this thread but because I'm 1st to comment.
I'm Igbo and I want to say I'm totally disappointed in my Igbo brothers that are laying claim of any sort to the development of Lagos.
I don't care if your father owns $10billion worth of estate and landed property in Lagos, let's not deceive ourselfs, if it hurts anyone of us so bad, let's go back and develop our land too, after-all onitsha has the largest market in west-africa.
U guys are making a joke of Igbos on here, stop laying stupid claim on lagos, ve u ever seen anybody with Uche, Nnamdi as surname from Lagos.
If we own as much as we claim in Lagos, what does Lagos and southwest have in terms of resources that we don't have, stop arguing stupid blind arguments on here.
We Igbo's are the problem of ourselves, most Igbo when they make it in the west only go back home to build mansions just to show off.

Enugu has coal in commercial quantity
Anambra has oil, with its trademark 4 to 5 storey buildings which only need painting to beautify onitsha, not to forget the tourist attraction anambra. Igbos are known to be good, witty entrepreneurs - we revolutionised the transport system which is evident in companies such as ABC, young shall grow and so on, innoson motors is producing in Nigeria!
Abia has oil, invest aba-made shoes - Celebrities are now wearing Nigerian designers, who said Nigeria's Nike, addidas can't come out of aba, china started small remember.
I'm a student, I live in the southwest. My dad owns a land and house in the southwest, that does not mean I should come here and start laying claim to Lagos, that's pure stupid and childish.

Nobody should qoute or reply me, just like if u want to.
No way! You must be applauded because you have mentioned some thing highly reasonable. Could it be the big sea port that is attracting the igbo? Or maybe the international airport? Am not an igbo man but you guys should go back and develop those places mentioned. I think Jona just commissioned one international airpport in (was it in Enugue). From now on, am sure there is no excuse

Jona and his team is trying to cross over to the other side of the roughest sea after independence. A sea no one has ever attempted to cross. When the devil was questioned as to why he is moving to and fro? He responded by saying he is only looking for those to be devoured. Jona, as you struggled to carry this cross called Nigeria to atleast beyond its former destination, May those devil like (haters) Nigerians moving up and dawn looking for your downward fall fail to laugh last. May God and the wishes of all good Nigerians be with you. Do not be tired. While I agree that many nigerians are neck deep in ethnicity, remember that majority will vote on individual performance and not party basis

In 2011, i voted for DPP while in delta then abadoning pdp but i swear today that as far as apc is concerned i and my family (five children) will never vote for APC especially consdering the recent deportation within same country and Buhari's exreme nature as Islamist. I have strictly warned all my children not to ever think of voting for APC. Am not from the south east and I have not lost any person to boko haram but it pains me to the highest heaven when other nigerians are killed for no reasons
even though my children are adults, i will make sure they will never jump over my advice.

Like someone said on a thread one day; "THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA IS NOT CORRUPTION. RATHER, IT IS HYPOCRICY. We all complain of bad governance in our daily lives... But we come online to spew thrassh same everyday on Nairaland, praising the same leaders who milk us dry. Just take your time to read this script below

In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the Governor of the defunct Gongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he is today the Chairman of the ruling Party, The PDP.... God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has your striking thunder finished?

Dr. Bello Halliru was commissioner in the Old Sokoto State (now Sokoto, Kebbi & Zamfara) and 33 years after, he is today the Minister of Defence.... Arise O Lord, Let thy enemies be scattered!

Major General David Mark(rtd) was the military governor of Niger State in 1984 and 28years later he is today the Senate President..... Chineke, inokwa ya ihe nkea ana eme?

Gov. Murtala Nyako was the governor of Niger State in 1976 and 36years later he is today the Governor of Adamawa State... Sango of Yorubaland, need you be told that enough is enough?

Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of Abia State in 1992 and 20years after he is today the National Chairman of ANPP.... Amadioha of Igboland, I thought they said that your monday hammer comes handy in situations like this?

Gov. David Jonah Jang was the governor of Benue State in 1985 and 27years after he is today the governor of plateau state. He contested for the chairmanship of the NGF, lost, formed his own faction and still remains in power... Avenging God were are you?

Martins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governor is over 80 years old! Jehovah Nisi!

Only in Nigeria is this possible, where the youth of today have no hope into the future! Where do we go from here?

People Deceive People (PDP), 1985, IBB was the president of Nigeria and our teachers told us that Buhari was the former Head of state..Our teacher also called us "the leaders of tomorrow".. 27years later, IBB and Buhari are still contesting for Presidency..Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow..Or tomorrow is yet to come.. Who's fooling who? Some of us ran out of the country,Obasanjo went abroad chasing them, telling all nations to deport Nigerian youths. Let's stand and fight for our right cos we are the leaders of Today... We can't continue like this. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Consider this very well. When you plan to do certain things and and remained planless, is the difference not clear enough for even a block headed individual like you?

moodswing: 1 & 2

It is indeed disturbing that your supposed understanding of the legal system is based on shrewd personal perception and sets of assumptions formed on a very wrong premise.

One of the principles of the rule of law states that "The process by which laws are enacted, administered and enforced is accessible, fair and efficient". You referenced George Zimmerman's case in your earlier post. Now, Zimmerman was set free even when it was established that he "followed" Treyvon, and in the ensuing confrontation which he obviously caused, shot an unarmed Treyvon. Zimmerman was discharged not because he wasn't guilty of killing Treyvon, but because of the controversial stand-your-ground law, which his defense was based. Even the US attorney general Eric Holder and other high ranking lawyers didn't agree with the law neither with the verdict.

Since you claim to be a sound Nairaland lawyer, you should know that laws must pass a general test of validity: not repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience or incompatible either directly or by implication with any law for the time being in force, and also must not do injustice. The stand your ground law didn't do the course of justice, neither it circumvented it..

I am not advocating for an accused person to lose fundamental rights, but that the course of "justice" should be upheld in the dispensation of law and not just for laws to be literally interpreted and arbitrarily executed by the court.

No set of laws in the world is perfect, and when i say that our criminal justice system is flawed, it doesn't mean that the court didn't act within the prevailing laws, but that our laws are deficient and thereby wouldn't serve the cause of justice at all times. Kapish?

THE LAW IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INSTRUMENT TO SERVE JUSTICE, and when justice is not served in law, then the purpose would be considered defeated.

3: mit·i·ga·tion
/ˌmitəˈgāSHən/
Noun
The action of reducing the severity, seriousness, or painfulness of something.
Synonyms
alleviation - relief - palliation - extenuation

The law was used to reduce the severity of Mr. Lloyd's murderous actions.

On the other hand....

By collateral attack, I mean challenging the validity (not legality) of the relevant laws or decisions by which Chidi Lloyd's trial is based.

4: I guess you have the right to interpret it anyhow you like: 'Like every other" does not intend to make him a criminal, neither it was used to highlight similar behavior exhibited by people whom have been legitimately accused of wrongdoing and incarcerated.
Many thanks. It give me great joy reading through this highly powerful and advanced thread. True, am proud because of your type. On the second hand, I don't know whether you have gone through the one written by one Mr. Aboki? If you have, would you be happy to be associated with that class of Nigerians? Isn't it stupid in nature?
PoliticsRe: Chidi Lloyd Sues Police For N50billion Over Ill-treatment by deletrue: 2:01pm On Aug 06, 2013
Mr Aboki: You don start again abi?!

Talking nonsense that you know nothing about..

What did our Justice system do now?! Was the case not a bailable offence?! So you expected the court to hold him in prison indefinitely. Now let me teach you yat another lesson in law. Even murder suspects can be bailed under certain conditions. Most times when bail is denied a suspect, its either the evidence around the case is so heinious that the suspect might be a threat to the society, The suspects life is being threatend and his safety outside the prison walls is not guaranteed, the suspect is a flight risk or the suspect is a repeat offender. Chidi lloyd is none of the above. Infact, he can be granted bail based pn personal recognition. The max the court would do is to take away his passport and travel documents. #LessonNo.1

Rivers people dont need a thank you from him, rather Rivers People are thankful to him for stopping those coup plotters that tried to unseat the government of Rivers State using cheap street thugs. God also loves Chidi Lloyd. Chidi defended the unity of Rivers State. If faced with another ugly situation like that, we expect no less from him.

Chidi lloyd is not a criminal, be careful how you speak. For you to call someone a criminal, they must have first been 'convicted' of that crime. Since he has not been found guilty of that crime, nor does he have any previous convictions that we know about, he is not a criminal and should not be reffered to as a criminal. Thats why the Police use the word 'Suspect', thats why the law says 'Innocent until proven guilty'. You can be sued for slander & defamation of character right now by Mr. lloyd and you would be found guilty . #BeWarned.. #Lesson No.2

He can sue the Police for inhumane treatment. The police does not have the power to torture anybody in their custody. Infact the police cannot hold a suspect for more than 24 - 48 hours without charging him or her to court. The Police cannot hold him for that long, keep flying him from one place to the other without allowing him full access to his lawyers. Even if Chidi is truly a killers sef, he still has rights. Even a convicted criminal should not be tortured under the law. He may get hard labour, but never torture. Ihunwo reserves the right to file a civil suit against Chidi and claim both punitive and compensatory damages to whatever amount he pleases, but that does not stop Chidi from suing the Police. #Lesson No.3

Our Law and criminal justice system has not done anything wrong in this case so far. Even Oscar Pistorious was granted bail in the case of Murder. O.J Simpson was also granted bail on a 250,000$ Bond during his own murder trial. George Zimmerman was granted bail on a 150,000$ bond in the Treyvon Martin murder trial. So is it a case of assault that sholdnt get bail?!

Na wah for you o!! I hope you are not with the Police. Na your type go see simple accident case, call am attempted murder with a dangerous weapon.

Am fifty per cent from the west and sincerely believe in unity of Nigeria. But when people you looked at with some percentage or degree of sensitivity turned out to be bundle of disappointments, it's so painful.
You arrived the bridge head and find no representative from the Anambra, therefore the next thing that comes to mind is to dump them there. know it today that Nature will not forgive you whether or not they are mad people.
The other day, one of the Yoruba self acclaimed prominent son failed to stop at the appropriate time while attacking until he was completely messed up. This is another yoruba individual displaying exactly the same level of insensitivity.
You people are just lucky. If you had done this to some south south state, no grammar. They will return stupidity for stupidity. I trust them, no time wasting.

You are now convinced that your sickness has defied all medical remedies. Now, tell me in the history of humanity, any individual or group of persons who have been detained for ever? You can evaluate this. Place Falana and Soyinka side by side on the attack of PEJ. Falana ended his attack having observed that a reasonable individual is expected to do so at the right time. On the second hand, Soyinka continued until he (Soyinka ) was completely messed up, until every nigerian became aware that this old man is one of the greatest disappointments. Do you know that I was not aware that he is living without a wife? A situation I will describe as worthless. Now consider Chief Clark who realises his faults within the shortest possible time and say to nigerian that he very sorry for his comments, who would you consider as a reasonable individual?
