This response of yours shows that you are an angry individual. What happened? What am looking at here is that you have not gone for brain checks medically. The person you are insulting hasn't said anything bad to warrant your thread. Again, you are no doubt, among the eighteen millions people that are confirmed imbalance upstairs.

When can this people stop pardoning bear-faced criminality and enforce law and order? Clueless Jona.
But your comments indicate your high level of intelligence. On the second hand, it shows that truly, academic intelligence and natural sensitivity are different. Go through your contributions, match it side by side with your level. What do you deduce or feel?
Simply put, you are suffering from failure in your endeavours. Know it that there is another day after today. Just avoid inglorius deals and pursue faithful ways of living. You will make it and this will reduce your confused mind which you caused yourself.

I support you in thanking jona. When i sat back and think of jona, i feel for him. Why? He is such a fair individual among near hundred per cent rotten people. Under normal situation, can one be even making mention of people like El rufai and Atuku. Yet these people are in political parties trying to rule or play leadership role over people!
May God continue to keep jona atleast for keeping safe distance between the two men and his administration.
LiteratureRe: Wole Soyinka: Things You Never Knew About Him by deletrue: 3:29pm On Mar 28, 2013
Orikinla: Dear Poster,

1. Yes, Prof. Wole Soyinka is the first African and only Nigerian presently and (not ever) to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. Other Nigerian authors will win it and one of them has a British passport. His name is Ben Okri.

2. Wole Soyinka may be Africa’s most successful playwright and dramatist in literary terms, but not on the live stage.
South African playwrights have made more money from their plays than Wole Soyinka.

3. Wole Soyinka is NOT the world’s most famous Nigerian).
More people across the social strata and cultures know Queen of Nollywood Genevieve Nnaji and soccer star Kanu Nwankwo more than Wole Soyinka.
Only students of literature and other educated people know him and lest you forget majority of Africans and others in the world are uneducated.
All the millions of Nigerians who have not been to school are more than the educated minority and these legions of illiterates among Hausas and other ethnic groups in the middle belt and northern regions don't know Wole Soyinka.
Chinua Achebe did not win the Nobel Prize, but he was more famous than Wole Soyinka until he passed away.
Achebe's books have been translated into more languages than Wole Soyinka's books and 'Things Fall Apart" alone has sold more copies than all the books of Wole Soyinka since 1958 to date. And still outselling other Nigerian books on Amazon and other book stores.
I am an authority of this. So, stop misinforming the ignorant and gullible trolls and others on this website and other sites.

4. The greatest writer from Africa to date is South Africa's J. M. Coetzee, a novelist, essayist, linguist, translator and recipient of the 2003 Nobel Prize in Literature. And the only African and the first writer to win the Booker Prize twice; first for "Life & Times of Michael K" in 1983, and again for "Disgrace" in 1999.

Coetzee has been described as "inarguably the most celebrated and decorated" living writer in the Anglosphere. Before receiving the 2003 Nobel Prize in Literature, he was awarded the CNA Prize (thrice), the Prix Femina Étranger, The Irish Times International Fiction Prize and the Booker Prize (twice), among other accolades.

I hope you know what is Anglosphere? grin

There are too many Olodos and Ode n tele Afas on Nairaland.

PLEASE, READ MORE AND RESEARCH MORE BEFORE POSTING THINGS ON THE INTERNET.
From this response, it is clear that you are far better than Soyinka. Who are you? Are you a professor? Highly intelligent. Look at your references. Not common. You may have read more than that professor they claimed to be the most popular. Thanks. But why have you not been educating us before this this time?

The picture of tunubu is becoming clearer by the day. Chief Falae is a highly respected individual who i will standby any time. If you critically look at this tunubu, there is heavy oozing of corruption written all over him. No wonder he did not win the primary. When a man comes in through the back door he will no doubt be extremely rooten and smelling.

You see yourself? Examine the level of your reasoning? If Jalingo was without light because there was no industries, and now there is improved power even though there are no industries or companies, there should be no commendation that power is slightly moving upward?
Now, tell me why should jona give damn about your likes? Prove that you are indeed not the animal like nigerians i referred to earlier on this thread. Better still, let us know why your likes are not on the list of 18,000, 000 nigerians with abnormal traits? Silly things. Serves you right. Sincere 9gerian: The day you take out some time to trace of some of the HATERS usernames back to 2011 and discover the CONSISTENCY in their hateful, cursing and abusive comments, you'll stop bothering yourself about their comments. The haters have thrown EVERY iota of objectivity and realism to the dogs.

In addition, many of the HATERS have multiple usernames to support their ineffective propaganda.

These HATERS are losers. They lost in the last elections and they'll lose again come 2015.
Brother, if not for the fact that the holy book , the Bible says that when things and humans behave such that they are not as wise as an untrained dogs, one wonders why this high degree of haters. This man jona has proven that he is the best going by the achievements so far, these animal like nigerians will never and not ready to find out even when one takes pain to pin point the achievement as mentioned above. while it is very annoying considering this unwarranted pardon, why do you think soyinka is so reasonable, responsible and special? Do you remember when he was asked to head the federal road commission? When he was requesting for fire arms, this and that? Do you also remember that these things were made available to him yet he resigned after serving few months? as usual, he is found of talking people down from both sides of his big mouth, who offer to serve in this time when nigerians are more and more complex. Why did he not take pains to bear and serve. Am not surprised considering the characteristics of typcal yoruba man. Lazy things

While i am very angry over this perdon, was it not this soyinka who speed off because of his inability to head the federal road commision. That time, the prof. was asking for fire arms, this and that. All these requests were made available to him, yet he could not face the job that time unlike these days when nigerians are more and more complex. Am not happy with these very lazy people like prof. who is only good in talking down people who takes courage to work even when the circumstances are extremely difficult. The delta people are very lucky to occupy the fifth position. Am very sure Udeagha knows well on time that DMO will carry out these checks hence he decided not to over run the limit multiple times. I know him because i worked in delta before. He is heavily and seriously corrupt. The after effect of this act is that when jona term is over, the next president will do likewise to those corrupt nigerians and before you know it, this country will be completely worthless even though it is almost worth nothing. The act is indeffencible. There is nothing that make any president especially in nigeria to perdon any corrupt individual in that our main problem is corruption itself.

PoliticsRe: Will Our Generation Ever Witness Constant Power Supply? by deletrue: 12:22pm On Mar 10, 2013
thelastPope: Many parts of Nigeria are already enjoying constant power supply so I don't know what you are talking about.

The new DISCOs are about to take over the facilities. In 3 to 4 months, power will be fully run by the private sector. Tthe total generation expected by the and of the year is between 8000 to 10000MW. The Mambilla hydroeletric plant which should be ready by end of 2014 will produce 10000MW. That is at least 20000MW by end of 2014! So I don't know what you are talking about.

All the transmission projects will be completed this year. Several have already being commisioned already like the Benin-Onitsha N1 line. I am enjoying close to 16 hours power daily up from like 4 hours in 2 days last year. Some of you should try and follow the news and see what is going on before you post on NL. As I am typing now, power has been mostly on since yesterday. It was interupted for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon and 2 hours at night.

From current projection, we should have constant power for most of the country by 2015/2016. This is putting into consideration a lot of infrastructural overhaul that the new companies will need to do nationwide.
Bros. I think those who sees nothing working should continue to remained in that state of mind. Just attending a marriage ceremony yesterday in a village with power till now. Will leave about 2pm. When i asked them their miter They responded by saying we will buy shortly.
For those who always see things in bad light should remain the way they are and sleep with that confused mind day in and out. Na only high BP go finish up those people.

HAH: Somalia too are very lucrative to invest infact they do better than Nigeria in the piracy sector.

Bull shit may be KPMG is talking of bunkering in that case there is no place like Nigeria.

Where is leventis, where is liver brothers, where are the textile industries in kano and kaduna.

Power alone cannot allow you invest and compete with imported goods talkless of the rampant insecurity in every part of the country no thanks to boko haram, Mend, massob, opc, kidnappers etc etc

We all wish Nigeria to be great but the present realities go in a parallel way with genuine investment.
Under normal circumstances, every perfect individual, be it sports, be it social, economic etc, there are usual a little trace of inheritance. Take Okocha, Messi, etc for instance, there must be good sportsmen or women in their families. In the vain, take people like you, chief Obasanjo, Pastor Bakare etc for example, there must be some traces of unlevel heads in these families, hence your comments matches your view point.
Now we are talking of jona, ( the present government) of less than two years old, you are talking of companies like leventis, liver brothers, textile etc that folded up long time ago. You are indeed among the list of 18,000,000 unconscious or mad nigerians. Am sure next time you will think before commenting on very essential issues. By the way, are you related to chief Obasanjo?
