This thread made me remember the wicked plantain I got some weeks back.

I don't know what they do plantain these days.
The plantain looked ripe from the outside but was unripe when I peeled it.

I left the remaining for 2 days to ripe.
Then, peeling off the skin was a struggle. it's supposed to be easy cos it's ripe, but it stuck to the plantain.

after I eventually fried it, it had no taste.

I believe people who use chemical to ripen plantain are evil. Why deceive people into buying stuff that isn't trully ripe? Plus who knows what health risks one is exposed to due to such demonic and greedy practice( Using carbide or some other chemical to ripen a fruits) Look at the increase in kidney failure we have in Nigeria. Our people don't care the price customers pay to , they only care about profit.

Warning: do not apply butter/margarine or any greasy oils/creams on burns as this traps heat hence worsens the burn.

I know of one oil preparation that heals burns fast esp first and second degree burns. I can't remember the name now but it helps prevent blisters and relives pain. Perfect for first degree burns tho. Even after initial treatment of 3rd degree, it also is good for after care.

Clearly he is protesting for peace. The war has separated many families. Imagine if you can only greet your mom through an opening in a fence until she ages and dies! Imagine if it happened when you married and had a young family caught up on the other side causing you to only greet your wife and kids from across the border through handshakes for years? That is the situation in their land they are not allowed to cross the boarder or leave their country without government permission and monitoring. It is a very sad thing. There are very simple meals they can give the military that would last. Canned fish, dried fruits, fermented or pickled vegies,unsweetened biscuits, tapioca, dehydrated milk, etc. Those foreign soldiers you talk about don't carry foods or foods that need too much preparation such as cheese burgers, roast lamb, Apple pies, cakes etc. So Let's not even go their.

That video was from a long time ago. This issue is a new one. But I think mercy was trying to hide the dirty linen in their closet. The beating don go a level higher and she can't keep taking it I guess.

Well, it isn't condescending, it is fact I think being truthful helps especially if you really believe you will not successfully pull the job due to lack of mental stimulation make dem see with their eyes say your brain don pass that level.
