Christianity Etc › Re: Is Listening To Secular Music or Watching Movie Bad For A Christian? by delkuf(m): 1:09am On Aug 18, 2020
Zoe99:
It is about what you watch, listen to and read because the eyes and the ears are the gateway to the mind. That's why when you watch a horror movie, you can sleep at night or when one watches pornography, the images keep playing in their mind.
When Jesus talked about people becoming like children,he was talking about the trusting and obedient nature of children(which is the kind of heart we need to have in our relationship with Jesus) not openmindedness. The Bible says that without holiness,no eye shall see the Lord.
I for one believe that we don't have to be legalistic because there are a couple of grey areas in Christianity but there are some things that are not good for you, like Paul talked about all things being lawful but not all things being beneficial. We are also encouraged to sing spiritual songs and hymns.
Don't just waste your time arguing with her. she has her agenda that only her understand. the painful part is that she is using the Bible to push it. @ kobojunkie

I'm not going to endorse, neither am I going to condemn your choice. In the end,we'll all do whatever we want to do no matter what anyone says. When we truly fall in love with Jesus,it won't be about how close to the line of sin we can be without sinning. It'll be about pleasing Him in every step we take in our lives daily.May God help us all.
Thank you very much. I love what you wrote

Oh I see cool

That's what you are brainwashed into to believe...
Little do you wonder why there's intermittent release of new version of the Bible,,,
To further interpolate to suit your desires.
Even the entire bible apart from the red letter parts are not the word of Jesus.
Learn without prejudice and but pure intents and you will be guided.
Case study: you are seeing the pictures of the virgin marry in your church every Sunday, please did your women in any manner look like her in terms of dressing?
But how about those Muslim women wearing hijab?
Read between the lines and think.
If they like let muslim woman wear anything they like, one thing I know is quran is the book of darkness, from the pit of hell, so the Bible does not share the same historical similarities with it

They both told the stories of Adam and Eve that's one unique historical similarities!
Your hatred is just against yourself...
I see an embittered personality...
You guys copy and paste the story of the Bible but twisted it a little bit. Christianity and islam have no unique historical similarities. light and darkness cannot coexist

I was wondering where the whole idea that Satan was a jinn com from. But now that you mention Islam, I see why it is disconnected from the Judaic account of who Satan is.
At least with this I will agree with you

Why are you asking?
Any reasonable version must come from either Islam, Christianity or Judaism because they have a unique historical similarities
Christian and islam have no unique historical similarities. There is no connection between light and darkness

what does this mean? And how is it connected in any way to what I asked you?
Does everything in your Bible differs. So you want to go against fasting too. Na was for you. I wonder what to you because this is definitely not Christianity or faith in Christ

lol! For your mind. How can I believe a god that transfer sin of Adam to his generation and only require his only begotten son to be killed before he could forgive. Is that not ridiculous? It is laughable grin

Why did he even create Adam in the first place. Weak gods every where
You are asking why God created Adam, that means you should be asking why God created you.

So God had no choice than to enter Mary's womb and be born like a human? God sent his own son and this son is God Himself!

Alright, I think i'm done.
I hope it explains it. You are good with the words of God. if you are this good, how come you still hook to muslim. Maybe because you are reading this Bible with a bias mind. I believe one day the light of the word of God will pull you out of darkness

Who was Jesus crying to on the cross?

Who said "This is my son in whom i'm well pleased'?

In which language is "son" having the same meaning as "father"?
The Lord Jesus Christ cried to the God the Father. it was God the Father, said this my son in whom I am well pleased. But you as a son of a human being that makes you a human being. So the Lord Jesus Christ is a son of God that makes him God

illusion grin. Muslim gives similar testimony.
Your case is even worst. Suppose after leaving Muslim you came to Christ, it would have been better. You left darkness in Muslim and came to an even darker darkness in atheist. your case is worst

When God told me to move to Onitsha and started a Church for Him, I don't know how but I know whom that sent me, and the amount to start with was His word only. I remember telling my cousin, and he replied that "do I think it is easy to win a soul," and he told me he can't support me, because he believe is a waste. Alot of people told me is not possible to open a Church without Much money. I told my late wife if it is God that sent us he will provide. We moved to Onitsha just evangelized one Sunday the Holy Spirit told us to start the Church next Sunday, 13 days after we reached Onitsha. With no Crusade, no handbill. Just mouth invitation we start a Church in a place we don't know well with just N200 we used in renting Chair under the sun.

With what the Lord is doing in growing Christ Glorious Church. I have come to term that all we need to please God is obedience in the face of impossibilities.

God told me that as many seats I will bring in to the Church he will fill it up.

People now stand because we don't have enough seats and this is just the beginning.

All glory to Jesus Christ

Time for us to stop giving excuses and start using just that one talent he gave us.

Happy Sunday

I pray you hear his voice today
God bless you sir. And your ministry shall continue to grow

So while on the cross he was calling himself Eli Eli Eli lamasabachtani...My God My God why have you forsaken me?

And during Jesus' Baptism by John, it was Jesus talking from heaven saying "This is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased"

Alhamdulillah for the gift of Islam.
Because the Lord Jesus Christ was on earth then. on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ was like every human being. He had weakness like every human being

Yeah, I believe you. The Christian God is able to die! So wonderful!

My God is far above dying!
You know the mistake you are making you are conceptualizing the Lord Jesus Christ when he was here on earth and when who he is in heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ had to leave everything he is in heaven and came to earth to the die for us. The Lord Jesus Christ here on earth, is subject to death and pain, but the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven is God. Please listen, when Adam and Eve sinned, the way to pay the price for our sins is that someone a human that has never sin, would die on the cross. No man on earth was qualify for this task. So God had to send his own son for this task. And for the Lord Jesus Christ to be able to undergo this task, he must come to earth as a human being. That means, he will be able to be nailed to the cross. So the Lord Jesus Christ that is son of God in heaven and as a son of God he is God, came to earth as a human being and die for the sins of man. So the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth can be killed, but the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven is divine. He is God
