The prophet(s.a.w) as the true example for all believers. This shows that indiscriminate killing of people of other religions can never be justified. The prophet made pacts with the jews, sent letters to the Persians, gave asylum to many. May Allah bless him and grant him peace. |
tatiana009: Actually that is a lie, there are more molestations recorded in countries like iraq and india where women are covered from head to toe than a lot of liberal societies. A rapist is a demented coward who cannot get some legitimate action. People rape even babies for crying out loud so there are no excuses for rapists. A rapist or the type of perverts that strip women naked for alleged stealing or dressing are demon possessd fools.Liar. How dare you compare Iraq with India. Crime rate is very very low in Muslim nations. And pls don't be dumb enough to add the countries ravaged by war |
CAMEROONPRIDE: 1) tell them OoooWhat do you mean by arab master. You are an ignoramus . smh for you. when will you learn? |
pleep: hehe, you forgot to punish the women who dress indecentlyIf you think you dress indecently, I don't need to curse you. Many of these things are subject to interpretation. I would hate for anyone to be molested for their faith, thoughts or belief. |
how can worshipping @ home be more rewarding? why dont men worship @ home swell then? its more rewarding for them too.
hahaha. how can you possibly know that? You want to start giving fatwa as well? There is a lot of wisdom behind every aspect of Islam. I have explained how much good praying at home is for a woman. As for the man, he gets more reward praying in congregation with other men. This also helps to foster communal relationships, friendships and keeps the stronghold of the Muslim brotherhood. |
God willing, after this warning, all forms of derailment will not be taken lightly. |
18. From MsDarkSkinwhat is the meaning behind the hijab? and also why are there so many different variations? The meaning behind the hijab Allah says "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty...And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and adornments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers...(a list of exceptions)" [Chapter 24, verses 30-31] Also, "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons...that they should be known and not molested." [Chapter 33, verse 59] In one tradition, the Prophet Muhammad is quoted as saying: "...If the woman reaches the age of puberty, no part of her body should be seen but this --- and he pointed to his face and hands." Why there are varieties? I think that stems from people trying their own interpretations, and with others trying to be fashionable |
msdarkskin,sorry for the late reply ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/1242159/answers-frequently-asked-questions-islam#15984852 |
why cant she go to a women mosque?
Wouldn't that sound more sexist or segregatory? women can go to mosques. They can worship there but worshipping at home is more rewarding. Add the other points above. |
you just proved what a se.xist religion islam is.
First, reread my post because I updated it. Call it sexist or whatever. Islam is not meant to fit into your world view. It is distinct in case you never knew. Muslims pray early in the morning. That is around 5:20 a.m in Nigeria. Men are to leave their houses at this hour and pray in congregation at their local mosques. For a woman, staying at home doesn't only keep her safe but also puts her in a comfort zone while getting her full reward for the act. |
So much has been said about Muslims and Islam that are later found to be untrue. An example is the case of the man deported because he was 'goodlooking'. This may be just another of such. So,I am not interested in what a Saudi man did. I am talking of what Islam says. You need to understand the hadith. It stems from the prophet(S.A.W) asking the men not to disallow their women from going to the mosque. It shows that women have freedom and can decide to stay indoors or go to the mosque(which was the centre for politics and other aspects of life) This man wanted differently for his wife and showed her what could happen by scaring her on her way to the mosque. He wanted her to prefer staying back home, which is even more rewarding for her. Praying in the home is better for a woman. There is no justification for molestation. Courts are there for reasons and laws made for specific purposes. If these women are into actions that are against the law, the right channels should be followed. btw, you can not assume every one is sane and all they say taken at true value. Whatever makes him a cleric defies logic. He is a writer and not a cleric. |
Does Islam support this? NO. |
bettymafy: Thanks for the explanation. But, there is still one grey area u're missing out. . . Let's say I'm travelling to the UK from Nigeria as a muslim lady on an official trip, I didn't go with any "haram" as they were all busy with their own lives and I also donot have any of them to pick me up on arrival in the UK, what do I do?Many of us would have found ourselves in this situation. I think we would only try to do the best we can and actually practice it right when we have the means to. I once met a man on a flight who was travelling abroad so he could go bring his wife and daughters home. I was moved by it. I was travelling alone. I wish I could do it right. |
isupport. 100% |
CAMEROONPRIDE: ^^^Of course. No one even looks at us but I feel for the others. It is unimaginable. It is shameful. I hope the perpetrators are extremely punished. You all should start dressing well abeg but the way you dress doesnt even make you deserve this treatment. I know the perpetrators do it because they want to see and not because they care for morality. |
May God Punish any and everyone who strips a lady for dressing indecently. May God punish those who stay to watch person May God triple the punishment for the ones who film it May the ones who watch it, distribute or share it be severely punished. may they all be shamed publicly. |
babyosisi: Are there no pictures?I want to have gotten enough so they are truly representative of the city. |
Afam4eva: Of course in every city there are modern areas and ancient areas but the ancient in Ibadan seems more pronounced than the modern.I doubt that you'v been to Ibadan. It appears you were travelling and passed through. The ignorance is mind blowing. Some day, I will post pictures from Ibadan, God willing. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: im pagan, any problem with that? From your post, You wish people would do.as you do. For that reason, you should already understand how others feel and their need for wanting others do as they do. You however are not the preaching type either because you aren't too convinced of what you do, don't have what it takes to invite others or are simply lazy about it. Even then you wish others would be like you and not preach their own faith. You aren't too different from others in that respect. If you have something good and are good with it, you would involve people you care about and encourage them to be involved as well. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to do that. If you call it Islamisation, then Islamisation is a good thing. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: Wether it is in Saudi Arabia or somewhere else is not the point, the point is why are others religion(non Muslim) oppressed in Muslim dominated countrieswhat is your proof that they are oppressed? |
CAMEROONPRIDE: no, I have never had such thoughts.so what are you? do you wish that everyone would do what you do or believe as you have? |
Afam4eva: Yes...where were you at Ibadan? Is everywhere in Ibadan the same way? No one rule fits all, you know. Not all the developed parts of the world are planned the same way. In fact, what you term medieval should be kept just the way it is, keeping our history fresh on our minds. I actually would want the medieval houses in Ibadan, like Ibitoye's house kept the way they are. They could even make for tourist destinations. |
chaloner: Yes preventing him from hurting people is ok but not in this way, this is no longer human in that cage , for 11years hmmmmm, I fearI wish she did it differently. They probably lack a good social system for such a people. The Nigerian system is worrisome as well. |
Cameroonpride, don't you wish that you can chtistianise the world? |
Afam4eva: Maybe they were planned as at then but such planning is not valid in this day and time. Have you been to Ibadan recently?I have been to Ibadan recently. Have you? |
and who dey fvck mad women for this life?
I hear they do it for rituals. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: Do you think they don't have mosques in France, Italy(imagine) , Russia, china EU etc but why do they pray in the street? Why do they pray in front of gov institutions and religious(Christian) institutions? Do you think the same thing can b done in their land? Even the indigenous copte of Egypt can worship freely and in peace, this week 20.000 Muslim attacked a copte church in Egypt with brick/stones etc..because apparently one church member looked at a Muslim woman.religion of peace indeedWhat are you whining about. You claim christianity is not a religion. If it isn't, should you care this much about mounting bricks for worship? |
CAMEROONPRIDE: who said that place is a religion center? Answer will your Arab masters allow Christian to show them respect in the kabba?Oh don't tell me you are this much ignorant. The mosque was close to ground zero and not on it. In fact it wasnt just a mosque but included a basket ball court and a cultural centre. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: the problem here is Muslim are not there to for a cohabitation, they are here to outnumber and conquer the world, b honest you know a real Muslim is the one living under the sharia law right?Shariah is what we practice when we show love this way. |
