to me, as soon as the requirements for marriage are met is early. While getting married when they are not is premature. . lol |
Yes my sister o I was persecuted for fighting for the rights of muslim women and I will not rest until muslim women are emancipated from the shackles of garrulous-stubborn-wife hunting- cheating-muslim men. Religious slavery has no place in my books. Trust me, zion train is surely coming your way; just hang in there. Aluta Continua!!!
its eid day and I should be munching already, But calling me your sister got into my head So i decided to reply. Actually, am also interested in emancipating women. Outside of here, some1 called me a feminist, although he got it wrong. am against anything or any1 denying women their rights. and I dislike chauvinists to the core. But u av to understand dat although Islam calls the man the head(just like d bible), most of d wrong doings of men against their women is cultural. While we MUST fight these harmful cultural practices, RELIGIOUS guidelines must stay. We are not as wise as the almighty and going against his rule is a SIN. |
haha! was som1 banned?? By their actions ye shall know them !!!! |
you can do dat for us now. ![]() |
did u see d word 'accepted'. if d hajj is accepted, and any1 dies after it, they go straight to paradise. But we dont know if they are accepted So we strive hard! and harder! Again, the only sin that is not forgiven is shirk. frosbel, if u dont change ur ways and believe, hmmmmmmmmmn! nothing can save you. |
has d guy said anything ?? ur bigoted self again. U ar talking when u dont even know d difference btw hijab and niqob. do u know wat jilbab means. av u ever heard of da??t. On ds thread, its better u keep ur lips sealed and learn rather than coming to show ur ignorance as usual. Then, if my society should make me different from other Muslims who do the same thing as I do, u should be concluding that the religion is not the problem but the society. No? |
i was actually hoping we would ignore this man o. He is here talking with us after writing his book. Shouldnt he have done his research b4 d write up? I still wish we can let him talk to himself. How is he speaking for the Muslim women? I am a Muslim woman- I should speak for myself My mother should speak for herself My sisters, friends, colleagues should speak for themselves and not some random fellow hoping to make some sales. Note you all the picture on the cover. the supposed woman is depicted in a way. Maybe when JP speaks, we'll understand his intentions better. |
it is not just about the fast. Me for example av bn preparn maself for d D-day. We'll be bak IA . |
The reward for an accepted Hajj is nothing but Paradise(bukhari). |

frosbel:I know u ar ignorant of many of the things u talk about. U can wear hijab without covering your face. |
Salam alaykum Today is yaom al Arafah. Alhamdulillah. What a blessed day. I hope you are fasting. Tomorrow is eid mashaAllah!!!!!!!!!!. I know I don’t have to peep in to know you have beautiful things in those boxes, wrappers, bags, or wardrobe- all for tomorrow!!!!!!. Tomorrow is gonna be a great day, it would be fun filled InshaAllah. Awaiting it gives so much joy, so much hope. hmmmmn You really are Lucky if you are with your family. I hope am with mine too . The good thing however is, I actually am with them, My Muslim Sisters. Together, we make an Islamic family. So, am still so happy like you are, Oops! Oh! Or is there someone who is so far away from any kind of family ?? Cheer up! Its all good and it is the way Allah wishes it to be! No matter how its gonna be, something common to all of us is the blessings of Allah which we all are lucky to be having. For sparing our lives till this moment, We are thankful to Him.Now do we just go for eid or do we go for eid, maximizing its benefits . I know you’d choose the latter just like me #smartMuslims. Certain things make it Eid while others are the manners expected of us on eid day.let us start with the formerRulings on eid.
[li] Fasting-[/li] [li][/li]
to fast on eid day is forbidden. On eid-l adha(the eid that involves killing a ram), we are enjoined not to eat until after eid prayers whereas, during eid-l-fitr(after Ramadan), to eat something, even if it is as little as a date is enjoined.
[li] Eid prayers[/li] [li][/li]
- this is to be observed, preferably in the open. Women are to attend too even if they are menstruating But menstruating women are to stay at the back and not with the people praying. Concerning the prayer -The takbeer during the first raka’ah is seven and five for the second rakaah. If you miss any of them, you don’t have to say them back(they are not compulsory aspects of the prayer) - if u miss the whole prayer, you can have your own. -many people make the mistake of observing nafila when they get to the prayer ground. That is wrong. The eid prayer itself is a nafilah and so you don’t need to say another one. But, if the prayers is taking place inside a mosque, you can observe tahiyat al masjid(the two rakaah nafila that is observed whenever one enters a mosque).
[li] Khutbah(sermon)[/li] [li][/li]
- this is done after the prayer. It is not compulsory that you listen to it. But like a smart Muslim, I would InshaAllah - Why get a little of the blessings when I can have them all!!
[li] Killing of a ram[/b[/li] [li][/li]
] [b] Adab (manners of eid) To take a bath- for God’s Sake, it is a day of festivity, Everyone should be clean. Purity is emphasized in Islam and on a day like this, further emphasized. It is okay to just have a bath. But better to have a ghusl(ritual bath) too. To clip the nails, shave pubic hairs are acts of cleanliness that Islam encourages. But for people who are to offer the sacrifice, to clip the nails, shave or cut their hairs is not permissible for the first ten days of dhul hijjah. They can only do these after they have done their sacrifice. Doing them doesn’t however nullify the sacrifice.
[li]Takbeer[/li] [li][/li]
- praises of Allah are to be said by all and aloud. This should start from the maghrib before the eid day until We get to the mosque and the Imam comes to lead Us in saying it. Here, I need the attention of all. This is how the prophet taught it, Unlike what many of us, especially Nigerians are used to. Allahu Akbaru llahu Akbar LaillahaillaAllahu Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar walillahi l hamd. In case you know of the additions, Allahu akbaru kabira wal hamdulillah kathira wasubhanallahi bukrata wa asila… desist from saying them. Even though they are good wordings, there is no proof(except you provide one) for these statements as regards eid and Allah knows best.
[li] Looking your best[/li] [li][/li]
- we all know that, I think ![]()
[li] To walk to the mosque[/li] [li][/li]
- encouraged.
[li] To take a different route[/li] [li][/li]
- to take a route different from the one we took to the masjid(mosque)
[li] Congratulating one another[/li] [li][/li]
- oh yh! We are to shake one another. Even people you never knew, on the day of eid. We are enjoined to say good words to one another. These are permissible in our local dialects too. But from the life of the prophet, we learn of this Taqabalallahu minna wa minkum.( may Allah accept it from us and from you) Other forms of greeting on Eid day are- A ku odun A ku iyedun. Emi a se pupo e (Yoruba) Kulu ‘am wa antum bikhayr(may you be well all through the year) kulu sana wa antum toyyibeen Eid Mubarak(Arabic) Barka de sallah(hausa) Add yours pls. . . DONTS -Some people stand up in the night counting down to twelve a.m- haba! That is not in Islam o. it is a practice of the non-believers. -some stand up in the night to have special prayers. Muslims are to wake up for this prayers whether or not it is The day of eid. Attaching special importance to the prayer on this day is disallowed. - what type of entertainment are you gonna be having- some Muslims serve alcoholic drinks! They tell you it is for their christian friends. That is haram. If you do this, you are reducing your blessings of the day and sinning against Allah May Allah help us get the best of this day And May he bless us with long lives that we may Celebrate Many more Eids .

bhusayor dear, I love u bunchs!!!!! any1 can say whatever comes to their lips. Like I always say, everyone has a right to their opinion. check out my new post on eid. Eid Mubarak in advance to u all!!!!!!!! |

thank u jare dear, I hope u'r fasting today. me av ate sahur oo. |
i donno wat dat means ![]() |
mdsocks:I wonder how u came about dat conclusion. toba:for once, toba is on my side. any1 pretending not to know dat can keep lying to themselves.
i seem to have missed the fireworks but i think the reason why deols is angry at macltunji is because he tries to call her to order whenever she's going overboard on religious matters- ie when she's insulting people who arent muslims.unlike sweetnecta who willingly places deols on the fanatical highway and encourages her in the same. no offence to sweetnecta but that's what i noticed. now, is it surprising deols snaps at macltunji but is all honey and spice to sweetnecta. na so life be.
Now, my enemies av somfn to munch on. Like always madam tpia, I hope ds makes u happy! ![]() |
bhus bhus! Mai hun Na! (I am here now!!!!!!) |
MUKIna, ds one wey u do I no like o. I cant believe u ddnt allow m read dat reply before deleting all d posts. Did I read som1 actn like he is d victim here typical of a 'sorry -excuse for a man'toba, speak in clear terms o. wat does in front of d camera mean? I aint taking pu from no1 anymore ![]() @All, sorry ehn, I avoided ds over and over again. It is meant to happen I Guess!! Pls dont lock ds thread ooo. I wldnt sleep well if u do. I am still busy.wld av done btter replying. Jum'ah Mubarak once again!!!!!!!!! |
Erm! Now this is getting interesting. Islam may prohibit marijuana, but did you also know that it is actually a part and parcel of other religions rituals?! Rastafarians use it and also hindus as well.
I find dat interesting too. dey probably need dat to get/ feel spiritual ?? I would think twice before considering such a religion- 1st, it puts me at health risk and again, dat spirituality cant be termed divine since it is by the action of a narcotic. |
frosbel:By the grace of Allah I wouldnt be in need of your job and i say it again like I always have dat christians are more intolerant than Muslims. An average christian has behavioral flaws when dealing wv Muslims while an average Muslim so much want you to av a part of the peace Islam preaches.Remember Pride goes before a fall. U may never even av a job to provide any1. do u av one urself at d moment? |
toba:I donno why u do ds @ all. y didnt u start d thread or even make d title- were mesin. so we cld start our debate on dat note. U nd ur kind always av somfn in mind- wat u want to sell and no matter wat response u get, u dish it out. wat do I say to u. keep wallowing in ur deception. Toba-deceivn-toba. I hope u dont add odas to ur train. bhusayor:I cldnt av ansad it better than dat ![]() toba:whoever doesnt say wat u want is not objective. and yes, people who die as non-believers(it seems right now dat u'r d one calling urself a keferi ehn? if odas do, wahala go happen) wld go to hell and dat is not playing God. dat is stating exactly wat God states in d Qur'an. I cant judge those women. Only Allah can Judge dat avn in mind dat d only sin He wldnt forgive is shirk(associating partners with Allah or worshipping any1 other than Him) But, any oda sin, He can forgive. |
hmmn! ok! I wish u all a successful IVC |
well, am too tired to read it all. i saw d bolded though. first, Hajj becomes compulsory only when u av d means- ds means include health. Some old people however have people who take care of them as they perform the hajj. ![]() To go against the law is somfn Islam forbids and for those women to av found a way of escaping that is a Nija thing which is wrong. In fact, I think screening should go beyond pregnant women. some people take little children to hajj. they could go for tourism but y hajj. I think these kinds of regulations wld decrease d no of people going and help d government plan better. nd some of those who dont follow these regulations go wv taxpayer's money. believe me, if i preside over hajj operations in Nigeris, many things wld happen- I av seen Muslims abuse dat privilege-very wrong! d money they waste sponsoring pple wu av gone times wvout number can be put to better use(like charity, skls for alimajiris). A man got seats(free from d government) to an extent that the house maid got one So she cld take care of the little children they were taking along. Some go with their money and die there. Some wish to die there too. and whether we die now or tomorrow, death na death o. if u look beyond d enjoynment of this world, u wont c hajj as an unnecessary exercise. no Muslim wants to die wvout performin it. Nd its better to die while praying than praying while dying. |
i have been told and i have seen a lot of stuffs concerning that. matter of fact, i learnt the greatest jihad is in the heart/conscience. but then where are the imams to correct these "acclaimed jihadists"?first, u need to know dat dr's no caliphacy in Islam at the moment. Muslims dont av a general body ruling over them. We used to av dat(in fact, I heard dat is how d west got their *we want to rule d world ideology*). the last ruler was in Turkey and his rule was overthrown by some conspiracies(u may not need dat history). My point is, if such exists,The leader of the faithfuls would call them to order nd punish them as should be. Now, many of u ask Imams to come up nd talk. Some do, I do too nd many pple on Nl do. But u nd odas av a thought of whom d 'leaders' are nd so wont accpt all our talks as anything- u want d Sultan and co- day do make those statements sometimes though but they never quench ur thirsts. Also many Imams av lost their lives to ds. A muslim interviewed on CNN after writing a book against violence said his friend who spoke against it was earlier killed and he wasnt afraid of being killed too- So he wrote a book that could outlive him. ok then!InshaAllah. i imbibe the attitude but then you cannot completely ignore what you see/hear. it's like being pulled in 2 opposite directions.i get ur point. dr was a time I was arguing wv a friend on d correct pronunciation of certain words. We decided to use a dictionary. After checking the sound, she kept saying she was right nd dat d sound we saw represented xactly what she thought was right nd I felt differently. What do u think wld av helped us? either to get some1 wu's truly a master at it to give us the interpretation or seek d CD the dictionary came wv so as to listen to it from the source. My point is, to get it right, u av to do extra nd from d people who are experts at it. here, the hadiths do that job. they give d explanations, den d words of d Imams(note not d Imams of ds century). u can always ask us about anything too.and w'll do our best in making them clear. |
some girls need self esteem boost to wear hijab. d same *civilisation mentality keeping frosbel from practicing the doctrines of d bible is wat is keepn dem away. I hope Allah helps dem. |
feminists are working day and night to attain gender equality. But u know wat, dey end up making women tools, for men's enjoyment. On d oda hand Islam gives a woman an opportunity to av control over herself. I enjoy dat. I tell u many of d people after me just want to know wats incredibly behind those coverings- I enjy dat too I love labels, just so u know But i dont compulsory av to wear them- afterall, not much of it is seen- dat helps me live a modest life(i dont go beyond my means) people respect me everywhere I go- somehow, dey just cant talk to u anyhow. Even Coogar claims he wldnt strike a conversation due to his not always modest intentions. Add to ds is d feeling that u'r doing wat is right!- wat ur lord wants, something u'll get rewards for. *doesnt dat sound sweet? |

I think its only a mumu that would see a nice lady that havent thrown herself at a man before(virgin) and wouldnt like her. I myself hope to meet such a lady. Not everyone can boast of such.
