I'm sure his point was that Lagos' commercial potential is what makes them capable of managing some of the infrastructure. Your intellectually dishonest, profoundly stewpid comparison of Lagos to other states is what he's challenging. What has your Osun village taken over to manage from the FG?
You mean the world famous chest beaters, the smartest people in Nigeria, the richest people in Nigeria, the most industrious people in Nigeria, the importers of everything entering Nigeria can not manage a common River Port? grin

lol @ ipobs always deflecting with Osun, is Osun the subject matter? Is there a FG project critical to the survival of the people of Osun that is rotting away and the elected officials in Osun aren't demanding to he handed over to the people of Osun? Do you mind naming such project because I don't get the silly, irrelevant and thoughtless comparison just because you are trying to dodge and defend your incompetent elected officials.

Is their a FG property on the coast of Ondo that Ondo officials are not demanding to be handed over.?

This is about your own issue so stop being childish with lame and unintelligent comparisons and diversions.

You people argue like elementary school kids.

Ignored till further notice.

Obi1kenobi:
Yet, ironically, South East legislators are consistently the leaders in pushing bills in the National Assembly:
https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/after-pocketing-n32bn-161-reps-yet-to-sponsor-bill/209389.html

Are you speaking facts or just digging garbage out of your arse?
What's pushing bills got to do with lobbying government institutions and their officials to make sure that everything in your region back home is running smoothly? What's pushing bills got to do with the topic anyway? Or you just lack the capacity to read, comprehend and purvey sane and rational logic.

When the FG handed over federal infrastructures to Lagos and other states, you think it happened by accident? No, their elected officials in Abuja lobbied for it and even when the Lagos special status demand failed, Lagosians chewed hem up for it.

Your elected officials are in Abuja for a reason, they are their to fight for your interests back home, they should even ask the FG to cede that facility to them to manage, same way other states are demand and receiving FG infrastructures, but your leaders won't do that because you people love to blame other people for you woes and incompetent leadership.

In fact, the fact they they pass bills mean they should not lobby to make sure your people back home benefit enjoy FG Facilities back home?

Kindly go away with your silly bills nonsense.

And to think that their brother Rotimi Amaechi, has been the Minister of Transport for the past 3 years. sad All the members of the House of Reps in Anambra, as well as SE senators from the zone, that should draw attention to the problem, are still on break, not so? shocked
They are the culprits. Sadly, this is the typical lazy and non nonchalant attitude of the elected officials from that region an even the governors losing out on the potential IGR from that facility.

They elect and pay them to look out for their people's interest at the national level, but they went to Abuja to do bystander like mumu.

Mr man who argue with words not facts. Don't assume what you know nothing about. You saw high unemployment rate in Rivers state but you forgot that Edo state has high immigrants leaving Nigeria for Europe.
Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa post highest unemployment rates

Oil-rich Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states have the highest rates of unemployment in the country, recent unemployment data by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show.

http://www.businessdayonline.com/rivers-akwa-ibom-bayelsa-post-highest-unemployment-rates-2017/
If I get up and leave Nigeria now, it means I'm leaving because I'm unemployed?

This is the most ignorant and unintelligent nonsense ever.

Nearly all the states in the oil producing region have the highest unemployment rate in Nigeria, so, what's your point?

You really need to keep quiet if you have nothing sane, factual and rational to talk about.

I said misery and unemployment index in Rivers state is the highest in Nigeria, do you have your own facts to counter that assertion with?

Again, if you are going to dispute claims made by other people, do so with facts, not by silly rubbish about where you drove to. Or you drove to Ekiti and you saw industries, factories, jobs and projects everywhere?

It is not by force to comment.

Edo isn't doing better either. Many roads are abandoned
Edo state is doing better than Rivers and Ekiti combined, Rivers is in reverse and totally stalled.

Rivers has the highest misery index in Nigeria

Rivers has the highest unemployment rate in Nigeria

Investors are dodging Rivers state for obvious reasons from crime, instability including bad leadership.

While Edo state is the opposite, in 2017 alone, they've commissioned 6 million tonnes of cement capacity BUA International Limited

Auchi fertilizer plant

Rongsheng glass factory

11,400 hectare oil palm plantation

Benin River Port project

Edo-Azura Power Plant

Benin Industrial Park.

Now, apart from attention seeking and showman gra gra the 2 clowns in Rivers state and EKiti, how many jobs have they created?

How many investors have they attracted to the high unemployment and misery index Rivers state and no salary paying Ekiti state?

Both of them are unsophisticated, thoughtless, crude, crass and visionless.

In fact, who gladly sits around and organize fanfare to commission these little and dirty local government roads that are even below local government chairman level.

Edo is trying to be in the same league with Lagos and Ogun, not with backward and visionless touts they call governor in Rivers and Ekiti.

Why are most of you so clueless and daft? This is not about politics but development
. Akpabio transformed akwa ibom during his time as governor, though the resources was available to do more. In terms of road infrastructure akwa ibom beat lagos state hands down.. Na calabar fall hand.. even road from akwa ibom to calabar is very bad because it's a federal road and also bad politics been played.
1. Akpabio did not transform anything beyond on single location in Uyo and all he did was erect a flyover, a roundabout, and a few roads. The rest of Akwa ibom remains the same backwater village. Even the environment around the flyover depicts village environment.

2. Apart from the few roads and flyover, he commissioned only 4 projects within the 8 years he spent in office. 1 library, 1 cinema, 1 football field and 1 uncompleted hospital.

3. Saying akpabio built better roads than Lagos state is like admitting that you are high on drugs cheap cocaine crack.

Btw, DAFT is what you see in the mirror every morning, obviously.

The Uyo airport has just landing strip with one of the smallest runways in Nigeria and it doesn't have night landing aids for aircraft to take off and land at night.

Useless akapabio commissioned just 1 football field, 1 library, 1 cinema, fly over and a few roads.

He was actually one of the most unproductive governors in his time based and the fact that Akawa Ibom with just 5 million people was the richest state in Nigeria, even richer than Lagos.

Amaechi built commissioned more roads and projects that all the governors in that region/SE/SS then and now combined, including akpabio.
