From 1988 my village always holds a football tournament every xmas period and is competed for by the village development union branches all over Nigeria who could raise a football team. Kaduna branch won the first edition. We have had Kaduna Kano Jos Enugu Aba Ph Owerri and Lagos competing. We have never had Ibadan Abeokuta Akure etc registering for the competition.
Don't go on deluding your self with the notion that Igbo are flocking to the SW. Lagos is NOT SW.

Let me explain to you why you should never take them seriously even when they say their villages are the most developed places in Nigeria.



1. If you really are the most developed, it means you have great infrastructure, great commerce and economy with lots of jobs, rich states with large IGR and budgets.

2. Based on the above, the rest of Nigeria and less developed places from the SW to the North should not only be admiring you, they should also be trooping to your developed states for opportunities and survival.

3. ...but the opposite is the case, you and your past and present generations are the ones leaving your so called very developed places to look for opportunities and survival in the less developed SW and the North.

4. The question now is, where is the sense and logic in you leaving your so-called rich and developed environment to go suffer, sell gala an pure water, dirty spare parts and fake rubbish to poor and less developed people in the SW and the North?

5. Your so called developed states are the poorest with the smallest IGRs in Nigeria and your budgets are the lowest in Nigeria.

6. The closest thing to projects in your so called developed villages are everyday internet MOU signing and silly celebration of MOU on NL while other states are commissioning real projects everyday.


Based on the above reasons, there is absolutely no reason why you should take these empty and shallow chest beaters seriously, their so called development resides only in the empty and shallow chest they beat all over the place and never grounded in reality.


You just can not help but feel sorry for them.
