EFCC is telling uncoordinated lies. They were talking about Dasuki but now joined it with contract kickbacks from Ekiti state.
which the EFCC claimed was used to retain proceeds of crime and alleged kickbacks from some contractors in Ekiti State.

They are just trying to cover for the president's inadequacies. One question, and don't bother posting a reply. Ask yourself, did the president also tell Osinbajo what to say when the EIE protesters came calling? For me, that was what won me over. Or was he also instructed to go on an unscheduled visit to the MMIA?

Buhari should remain where he is. The man has good intentions for this country no doubt. But he is too old and bereft of ideas.
All you have is petty assumptions and opinion which you have every right to spew, but you don't have facts about the inner workings of this administration, their strategies, their policies and how they delegate duties and obligations.

In fact, common sense should tell you that everything done by the VP is ultimately done by his Boss.

I know many of you hate too much to reason intelligently because of hate and bigotry, in case you don't know, the buck stops with the President and not the VP.

The VP visited many places as part of his delegated duties as the VP even before the president left so of what importance is the VP visiting MMIA? You are not making any sense.

A statement by Laolu Akande, the spokesman of Osinbajo read. Before he went on vacation, President Buhari had mandated the vice president to embark on visits to oil-producing communities to demonstrate the resolve of this administration to the pursuit of a new vision for the Niger Delta.

Fact is, the VP is acting on behalf of the president with consultations going both ways. The VP can not do anything without consulting the president or the president agreeing.

To say for a fact that this is the VP's sole moves is like saying you camped out in his office and inside his head and you have intimate details of government plans, policy papers and documents and even official phone conversations which sounds very silly and absurd.

If you are really not a kid, you should know that regardless what baseless opinion you subscribe to or peddle, this is still a team effort like the woman asserted regardless who is in charge or not in charge.

Regardless of his after though excuse, he tried to separate the common team effort between the President and the VP when in fact like the woman stated, this is a team effort.

Even a day old baby knows the VP is acting on behalf of his boss with consultations.

It is a deservice to the President, his VP, Nigeria and the APC to downplay or praise a team members effort over other team members.

Sadly, the useless man is too egotistical to understand and accept the woman's sane point about team effort.

Guess who came and reaped the spoils of that war?
We know who did and they are called Yoruba people because progress and development never stopped in the SW since the civil war.

Look at the North, the SW, the SS and the SE today and tell us who is reaping the benefits?

Till this very second, the SW still commands nearly all the investment money in the whole of West Africa and the SW remains the 5th largest economy in Africa and about to even get to 1st in Africa in less than 3 years after when the largest single refinery in the world, the largest petrochemical, largest fertilizer and Gas plants is commissioned.

There more infrastructure projects going on in the SW than the rest of Nigeria combined many times over.

The Joke is on you because it's obvious that the SW before and after and today remains on top across the board.

I said remove Dangote investments in the case they become another country and he decides to take his kaya elsewhere and you go on about how safe lagos is? Which means you are saying Dangote is afraid of investing in his kano state because Lagos is safer than Kano.

If you are so sure of the chances of your people, why stay in a sinking country, the joke is on you pally grin
[/s]

SW developed and survived before oil and without oil so you are still pointless.

The SW is home to Nearly all of Nigeria's wealth

Many developed countries don't have oil or any natural resources

Oil is an international commodity so of what relevance is ND oil

Oil did not make investors troop to the ND, instead they trooped to the SW so common sense should tell you that there is more to economic growth and survival beyond oil.

Who cares about ibo importers? ibo importers don't know how to send their fake china goods to all the ports you listed outside Lagos or to onisha river port? Who is forcing them to go to Lagos? That was silly talk.

Saying remove Dangote's investments from Lagos state sounds silly and pointless With Dangote building the largest single refinery in the world and the largest petrochemical plant in Africa and the largest fertilizer and gas plant in Africa without oil in Lagos, shouldn't you first ask yourself why Dangote did all that in Lagos state and why invested $15 billion in Lagos to start with instead of his own Northern region or the the ND or your own economically insignificant village. It obviously proved that oil and the rubbish you are talking about is irrelevant, it's called sound business decision and not the backward rubbish you are talking about.

Nigeria is sinking according to you ipobs, you hate naturally even your own people so there is no surprise here.

You don't get to dictate to other people when and how to leave Nigeria, we'll leave when we are ready. Mind your own business and leave now if you really are serious about leaving Nigeria.

24SEVEN:
Lagos, nay SWest are the major beneficiary of this unbalanced set up. Imagine how you sit in Lagos and enumarate the highs of Lagos. What you failed to ask yourself is how Lagos, without any natural resources, without any strong agricultural base arrived at its enviable position.
Lagos has natural resources and natural resources is not the required or is the only method of economic survival.

Japan and may developed nations doesn't have oil or any natural resources, but they have ingenuity, educated and productive manpower, they have industries and huge manufacturing abilities like Lagos.

Lagos is the industrial capital of the whole of West Africa and has been for over a century oil or no oil.

You have no clue and it's very obvious that you know what you are talking about.

You may point out its seaports but i may remind you that Rivers and Delta have ports. Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Ondo and Ogun due to their location on the Atlantic ocean could have made themselves another Lagos but they haven't and cannot because the Nigerian system make lagos the biggest beneficiary of its imbalance.
This is irrelevant and last I checked, there is no government policy that prevents you or any trader from shipping goods or doing businesses in all the other ports you mentioned. People make business decisions based on where and how to transact and make money, not on where this or that or why this or that port is located?

We were told that Onitsha port will take over from Lagos and all igbo shipping and business activities will move from Lagos to Onitsha, but it was all cheap jokes because it made no business and economic sense, same goes for all the other ports you mentioned.

Business and economic activities has nothing to do with sentiments and emotions you people cry about all over the place, it's done based on realities and prudence.

As far as Nigeria remains like this, every other state has nothing on Lagos. But should Nigeria split or practice true federalism, then will you know that Rivers has NLNG plant, two refineries, two airports, 2 seaports and the subsequent relocation of IOCs and the embassies of their countries to the Niger Delta region will leave Lagos in shattees. Lemme see what becomes of the financial hub, maritime hub and economic hub you're talking about. Your economy will only be comparable to Ghana.
Baseless assumption especially since history proved before decades ago per which region was viable, able and with the capacity to rapidly develop before oil and independence.

Before oil and when we had regional governments, each region controlled her destiny and economy based on their regional resources without oil.

The SW developed and gained many 1st in Africa, 1st in Nigeria and historical accomplishments without oil, they did it with just cocoa and rubber money so of what relevance was oil then and now?

The industries in Lagos and industrial estates that's still powering Nigeria's industrial economy was established by the SW region under Awolowo. Please tell us the ones established by the Eastern region and Northern region that was relevant then and now?

What major accomplishments was achieved in the Northern and Eastern region when all the regions were separate and managing their economy and destiny?

Like I said, before Nigeria's independence and before oil, the SW proved it's capacity to develop based on ingenuity, good leadership with vision and foresight. it's already proven, they did it before and they'll do it again and even better.

Rivers state and the Niger Delta has limitless potentials, just let Nigeria stop this fraudulent system of government.
With all the so called oil and potential in the Delta and and Rivers, why is it the way it is and why are investors not investing in the whole of that region?

Oil is not that start and end of everything.

Of what relevance is your oil if safety and security of investments can not be guaranteed?

Of what relevance is your oil with lousy and vision less leadership?

You are a learner..

1. Lagos is the 5th largest economy in Africa without Oil (Btw, Lagos is an oil producing state just to relieve you of your ignorance.)

2. Your auto parts and street peddling of fake china goods on the streets of Lagos is meaningless in the grand scheme of things and whatever property you own in Lagos via COC is revocable since COC is leased and is revocable by the government.

3. Why should Dangote remove his investment in Lagos? You mean Dangote can uproot $15 billion refinery, petrochemical plant, fertilizer plant, gas plant and the rest of his investments and move it to your village?

There's a reason why investors stage their investments in the SW. The SW is the safest place for investments in Nigeria for unlimited reasons from availability of educated manpower, to safety and security, buying power and disposable income and so on. The same reasons investors go with to invest their money in the SW today proves that the SW is the only potentially viable country and the same reasons why they ignore your village and the rest of Nigeria is always going to be the reason why your village shall remain non viable and has never been.

4Play:
Which one of the assertions I made do you dispute: that Adeosun spent her 4 year tenure adding to Ogun state's debt (based on revenue projections that didn't materialise) and at the end of her tenure, Ogun state applied for a bailout?

No, my state of Anambra despite being run by nincompoops did not apply for a bailout. To the contrary, it even managed to have a relatively considerable foreign-currency denominated rainy day fund as backstop against an oil price collapse. My key issue with Adeosun is that for a state that borders the economic capital of Nigeria, she somehow managed to fail to accomplish something her not highly capable counterparts in Anambra achieved: take prudent measures to keep your state's finances sustainable.

How is it a defence of Adeosun that almost all states in Nigeria collected bailouts? State governments are run by oafs - that Adeosun displays the sort of incompetence your typical state finance commissioner displays is hardly in her favour.

I will also refer you to the following link - see page 45:

http://yourbudgit.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/State-of-States-Policy-Document.pdf

Note the increase in the debt burden at a rate that outstrips revenue used in servicing debt. Also such an increase can only be justified if one assumes that there will be no oil price crash.
lol. When it comes to debt, you people are always from anambra when in fact Bleep of debt is not the ultimate sign of financial prudence.

Now back to the argument at hand, Ogun state's debt growing in that time has more to do with infrastructure borrowing so you missed the mark.

You conveniently dodge the part in your link saying she actually increased the state's IGR.

She actually grew Ogun state's revenue

Also, Total government Revenue is growing steadily, at N60.75bn, N66.22bn,
N70.9bn and N67.12bn in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively
Ogun’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) is
up from N10.84bn in 2011 to N12.44bn, N13.78bn and N17.5bn in 2012,
2013 and 2014 respectively.
Okonjo on the other hand drained our revenue so what's your point?

If you are going to make misguided examples and connections between incompetence, gross financial mismanagement and education, you should start by telling us how PHD Jonathan and PHD okonjo dwindled the largest oil earnings in the history of Nigeria, drained forex reserve and ECA with nothing to show for it

You should also explain to us how Okonjo the PHD holder with the largest earnings in the history of Nigeria for years borrowed hundreds of billion every year to pay workers salary and sank us into debt.

Going by your flawed analogy and since okonjo couldn't manage Nigeria's economy and admitted that she failed, it's safe to conclude that her PHD education means nothing and very worthless on top of the fact that she was incompetent.

Ignoring how okonjo did worse to Nigeria with her worthless PHD, drained our treasury, left us in debt with monumental borrowings when oil was selling for $100 par barrel and all of a sudden spewing fallacy about Kemi Adeoshun who is actually cleaning up OKONJO's dirty mess with less revenue and earnings means you lack credibility here and all I see from people like you is deception and hypocrisy.
