Neither Zik nor Ironsi used military force to keep Yolobas or Arewanistans as part of Nigeria with active support of the Igboids populace.

You simply have no point.

Our sovereignty is ours, we decide on it and our right to self determination is sacrosanct.

We will not be blackmailed by war mongering, power hungry retrogressive groups into sharing a failed Colonial entity with them.

Deal with it or continue threatening war and death on Biafrans and still turn around to say you don't care about our Biafran movement.

Confused fellows. Someone once said Oduduwa knocked his head on the floor when he fell on Earth from heaven or is it hell sef. Cause the cognitive dissonance shown by his Yoloba descendants seem to suggest so.
What's your obsession with Yoruba people or if we Zik used force or not to keep Yoruba people in Nigeria?

Abi you see Yoruba people crying all over the place for freedom?

Had the Eastern Region opted for Independence at that time, the territory under its control would have comprised in today's terms the following nine States with their enormous human and natural resources Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Rivers state. It would also probably include Southern Cameroun with the oil rich Bakassi Peninsula. If not for Zik, by 1960, the three Regions would have become separate sovereign states and there would have been no question of Biafra's attempted secession in 1967 from a non-existing Nigeria federation and the devastating civil war fought to stop it.

Who would have fought Awolowo? Zik? certainly not. As he made it obvious that he had no interest beyond diplomacy in wining any group into Nigerian union.

Arewa? Certainly not, as of then, they were contemplating secession too. It took Zik further years down the line to convince them.

So, who would have stopped Awolowo if declared Odualand independent?

Certainly not Zik or Ndiigbo.

The greedy mofo whose greed for power and money set his region on fire, and whose input in the war and post civil war polices aimed at enabling him and his greedy kinsmen get their hands on the Nigerian public and private sector, had made unity impossible, as neither present or future Biafrans would accept co existence with Arewa-oduanistanis ever again.
Your Excellency, Sir, don't you think that our Igbo founding fathers are to blame for our present predicament, Awo to me was wise, he wanted to build a great nation from sub-ethnic nationality, while Zik tried to build a great nation from the centre to the sub ethnic level, in the long run the Igbo are worse off for it? - Chief Uwechue

What's this whole threat of war all about, if not because you can't proffer superior argument on why Nigeria should be united other than use of brute force, threat of death and war?

Why are you crying over Biafran threads in Nigeria, wishing death on IPOBs, goading Nigerian security forces to shoot at them, trying to create a non existing scenario of Zik forcing Awolowo and Yolobas to be in Nigeria in1954, if not to justify the unity of Nigeria and reinforce why Biafrans should be trapped in a retrogressive union with Islamic people of Arewa-oduanistani?

Are you not ashamed of yourselves?
We have nothing to do with your unity, your own fore fathers, Zik and Aguiyi-Ironsi fought for and cemented Nigerian unity and One Nigeria so deal with it.

Forget about unity and snatch your freedom if you're bold and brave enough, fact is you can not, all you people do is make silly noise and use Hausa and Yoruba people as excuse. I don't even remember seeing Yoruba or Hausa people preventing you and your people from trooping back to your village to declare biafra.

Biafrans left your Arewa-oduanistan for you in 1966, our leaders then also aligned with the Biafran movement then, but it never stopped you Arewa-oduanistanis from ganging up with Arewa people, serving as foot soldiers for the British.

Been there, done that.

Biafrans will choose how to go about extracting ourselves from retrogressive union with Islamic people of Arewa-oduanistan, and we wouldn't need suggestions or opinions of Yolobas on how to go about it, especially when Yolobas are yet to map out plans on how to save Ilorin and potentially the entire Yoloboic Kwara people from Fulani subjugation.

Why should we forget about Zik diplomacy?

We are Igbos, a group of tribes who evolved mini republican states governed by a complex form
of Democracies even before the ancient Greeks knew of Democracy.

Through diplomacy we evolved superior means of peaceful resolutions of conflicts that saw our relativelying small landmass region booming with population growth( Wars depopulate regions).

Ojukwu exhausted all peaceful means of resolution of the Biafran question, until Gowon reneged on the Aburi accord.

MASSOB and IPOB are both peaceful groups who had chosen diplomacy as veritable tools for achieving set objectives, they are not armed or terrorist groups.

We are not obsessed about Yolobas and Arewa people, we are just angry that they would gang up with the British and serve as foot soldiers in bid to maintain the indissolublity of Nigeria.
We want Arewa-oduanistanis to mind their own businesses and stop trying to use force or cheap blackmails built on distortion of historical facts to keep us trapped with them in a retrogressive union.

Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna and Ironsi were nationalists, not secessionists. Why would they divide the control using civilian laws, when they were military men?

They wouldnt have touched the secession clause. But Ojukwu would have wanted it activated the moment Igbo massacre went wildfire and Gowon and the North looked other way.

And the same Gowon and his Yoloba advisers that reneged on the Aburi accord, preferring useless decree, would have quickly dissolved that section of the constitution by propounding a new anti secession decree.

So, this secession clause talk is pointless seeing as that period in history where it would have been exercised if at all was a period of military regimes who rule not by constitutions, but by decrees.

Do the Arewa-oduanistanis hold this same view with Zik? No! So why the obsession with Zik words?
Forget about zik and what he said about diplomacy, are ipobs deploying violence and hatred or diplomacy today?

Even sef back then shebi we had some form of autonomy in form of regional government like the Nothern, Western and Eastern regional government when each region controlled their own destiny, but guess what, their brother Aguiyi-Irons introduced decree 34, the so called unification decree that abolished the regional autonomy that sent power to the center in form of the system we have today, the same system they don't want.

Bottom line, 2 ibo men created what these ipobs are dying to change. Zik made sure Nigeria stays one and indivisible and Aguiyi-Irons cemented it with his own decree 34.

This is a very imbecilic accusation by the EFCC. One doesn't expect common sense in these security agencies since they are populated with "quota system' mediocres and misfits.

So, if I am a thief and I use proceeds of my theft to pay anyone who rendered a service to me - like a barber, a plumber, a prostitute, doctor, or even a lawyer, do these people automatically assume vicarious accompliceship? Would the EFCC also arrest any olosho, doctor or janitor that Fayose has paid for their services recently? This is even assuming but not conceding that Fayose obtained the funds illegally. When you pay for a good or service in the open market, who cares where or how you got the money, and which law makes the seller vicariously liable for a buyer's unlawful source of funds?

This is just ridiculous. No wonder the EFCC is better at arresting indiscriminately, freezing accounts foolishly, and conducting daft media trials AS OPPOSED to securing convictions. Bunch of idiots.
It doesn't matter, the money was stolen and you have to give it back just like Omisore and others did by returning their share of the loot even after claiming they received payments for services rendered.

Ignorance is not an excuse in any court of law.
