NCE1: Like the tradition, I had to get a new moniker for this. I'm currently having issues in the place I stay, I am a student that rented an apartment close to school, and ever since this landlady and her children have been a thorn in my flesh and even other neighbors.
Let me narrate what happened. I'm not a perfect grammar person and please read to the end.
In the place I stay, there's a well we fetch water from, so last week Sunday the well was locked up, which was very unusual... It was locked up from morning till night, nobody in the compound could access water.. I couldn't cook nor bath, so in the evening I decided to go ask the landlady why the well was locked and ask for the key so I can get water.
On getting to the landlady's place, I greeted her and asked calmly why the well was locked up, before I knew what was happening her son came out and told me to get out of there... I was very shocked and surprised, that I came to ask for the key to the well and he just tells me to walk out like that.
I told him I'm here to ask why the well was locked and collect the key, and that I cannot just walk out like that.
Before I knew what was happening, the boy started getting aggressive and he was threatening that he would kill me and was making all sort of threats, before I knew it... He attacked me, both the mom and the son with their last daughter.
They pushed me to the wall, which I sustained an injury at the back of my hand, the landlady was trying to get me naked by pulling the short I was wearing... I wore this short because I wanted to collect the key, fetch water and take my bathe. So as she was trying to pull down my shorts and get me naked, I had to bite her a little so she could release her hand from my shorts.
The neighbors gathered because of the noise and saw the three of them against me. Then I left there and went and open the well which they padlocked, then they came down and insisted that nobody would use the well.
It was then that someone told me the reason why they locked the well was because the son of the landlady had an issue with someone early in the morning while the both of them were fetching water and he locked up the well to deal with the person... Thus causing inconveniences for the remaining tenants.
The next day they(landlady and her son) went to the police to report the matter.
And they lied to the police that they locked up the well because the tenants were polluting the well. Then they reported that I came to their house to attack them and I bite her.
Then the police came and took me and the neighbor that had disagreement with the son that resulted in them locking up the well.
We left the police station that same day and we went back in two days time for interview.. At the interview the police asked us to settle the matter amicably, but they proposed that they want to go to court and if we don't want to go to the court, that we'll have to pay the sum of 50k.
The 50k is for the money she used to treat herself, which is a lie. One of the neighbor in the compound overheard her making arrangements with a pharmacist to manipulate the bill of drugs she got.
And aside that, up till now they have refused to open the well for the whole compound to use, but they themselves are still using it, despite claiming that it was polluted.
Now my Daddy had to call her and beg and he told her to calm down that he would pay her 15k but she refused, that it's the 50k or we go to court.
Now my question is.
Was I wrong in the first place for going to ask of the key to the well that was locked up without proper information of why it was locked, and this well is the well we've been using since we packed in?
The second question is, if we go to the court now, what are the penalties I would have to face if I was wrong?
And finally, is it right for a Landlady to lock up the well that everyone uses because of an issue with one of the tenants?

Tetehjewels: My Son is super smart and at 8 has already been given double promotion twice in school. The 1st one he got was in the 2nd term of that year and he was only able to join the new class in their 3rd term yet he still came first and the school thought it necessary to move him again. So he is now in a class with kids 3yrs older than he is and already besting them too.
We are a very God loving family and even though I have never sat my son down to talk to him about God, I do ensure he goes to Church with me and joins me in my daily morning devotions. So we have this neighbour who is from Greece. His 7 yr old son and my son can be considered best of friends and they visit each other at will. So on this day he came to visit and while they were hanging out I suddenly heard them arguing from his room. Normally their arguments would be over a video game or something else but this one was interesting. They were arguing about God!
I stood by the door and listened. Apparently that day revealed to me that my neighbour is an atheist but I never knew and he has been indoctrinating his 7yr old son along those lines because I clearly heard the boy say to my Son, "God does not exist, he is just a story"
So here is the convo

My Son: How do you know he isn't real?
Him: Well my dad said he isn't real because he just isn't. Have you seen him?
My Son: So your dad says God isn't real because he hasn't seen him? So something isn't real because you can't see it? But what about feeling Him?
Him: Feelings are not something we can um um fully determine because they can be misleading
My Son: How can you say Feelings are misleading, you are my friend right? (He goes yeah?) So how are you sure you are my friend if your feelings can be misleading. Can you say your feelings misled you into being my friend?
Him: No that's not what I was trying to say
My Son cuts him off with a sharp tone: So if your feelings did not mislead you into being my friend how then do feelings mislead you?
Him: Have you felt God before?
My Son: No but I do know that I think about him a lot
Him: umm umm but How would you possibly be thinking about something that does not exist
My Son: Exactly Ethan!
At this point I step into the room and cheerfully say Okay guys playtime is over (because I needed to stop the argument and get my Son to study by asking his friend to go home)
However his final comment "Exactly Ethan" resonated with me and made me think that comment was actually directed at Ethan's dad and not Ethan because apparently he had been talking about the non existence of God to his Son A LOT!
So how do you constantly talk or think about Something or Someone that doesn't exist?

So I completed my secondary school education in 2018, and I'll be starting college next year, to study Computer Engineering. My dad had bought me a laptop in 2017, when I was still in secondary school, but it started having issues about a year later and my dad spent a lot of money (about 50k) for repairs alone. He then gave up on the laptop and decided he would get me a new one soon. But it's been two years plus, and he is yet to give me a new one, because of some projects he has at hand.
Before the laptop started having issues, I had mastered everything, from typing fluently to operating the basic softwares such as Ms word, excel, PowerPoint, etc. After I completed my high school education, I started working in the church media unit, and in no time, I was the most preferred media personnel when it comes to scripture projecting, prayer points typing and more.
On July 17th this year, a man favoured me and gave me 160k to get myself a laptop. Since there are only mid-tier laptops at that price range, I decided that I'll keep the money, till when I raise about 200k extra to get a good laptop for 250k, capable of 3d animation which I desire to learn, and to also get myself a secondary monitor, mobile hotspot and a camera to start a YouTube Channel.
I've kept the money for about six months now. It's still intact because it's with my mom. But since it'll take time to save to that amount in order to add and buy the laptop, I have decided to invest the money in any business that will make me at least a 500k under six months. Is there any business that I can venture into?
I would really prefer online businesses that can be done with a mobile phone because of my health issues. But any business idea would still be appreciated!

To my surprise two yrs into the marriage this said Aunty and her children are still key important figures in my wife live, they have access to her and my home at will, somethings they plan visits when am at work.
Each of there visits leave us in weeks of quarrels . now its me my wife blames.

I think the reason it's common on Sundays is because people usually have no where to go on Sundays, unlike during the week when we are busy at work, and having seen on Sundays, the familiarity is struck, and there's this urge to hang out and cool off after church before work resumes the following day..(gisting as pretext)
A couple of pastor friend, and church friends also told me their experience, quite similar. So post Sunday service knacking is actually common than the younger me had thought.

MARSONE: So a friend sent me a job advert on LinkedIn of a firm looking for a Steam experienced 3rd marine engineer to work on an FPSO in Nigeria.

Also it is completely madness living a storey building yet you are afraid that Snake will crawl out from your W.C, how? it can never happen, thats because the 4inch pipe that carry your poo from the w.c to the soakaway has a smooth surface, Snake can not comfortable crawl on it. It not possible.
Now is it possible for Snake to crawl out from your W.C? yes it is. But that can only happen if you stay in a bungalow, ground floor and you have a breakage in the service chamber that has direct link to your w.c, I mean direct link to the toilet.
So please those of you that are busy Flushing fuel and salt inside ur soakaway, sorry you are just wasting your money.
So hear it now, Snake can only come out from your W.C if you have a broken Chamber that is directly linked to you toilet.
