tensazangetsu20: Amazing story. Dude should have accepted that french education.
and which job will he get with it, 10k private school job? Dude is on his way to be the next Cubana he is on the right track, there's nothing like having plan, and following up on it no matter the storm, this guy is a rare breed, these are the type of people that end up being millionaires
seunmsg: So, when are you guys doing an analysis of the amount paid to Agberos in Enugu, Abia, Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Abuja etc? Abi NURTW only exist in Lagos?
Analysis like this would make a lot of sense if it was done all over the country or at least in some selected states so that we can do a comparative analysis. So, why single out Lagos state?
Btw, NURTW is a trade Union. Trade Unions and professional bodies charge their members huge sums annually. As a member of ICAN, I pay 30k to the institute as annual subscription. I still pay for conference, AGM and faculty due without complaining. So, are members of NURTW complaining? Who forced them to be members of the union?
theirs is a forced membership... It's not even membership fee... It's ticket fee for operation
The major problem we have presently is not just the FG alone but other bodies under the government.
I lived in an estimate of about 4 flats each. Fast forward to this day, we were using normal light (no prepaid). Along the line, my landlord introduced the prepaid meter for every flat, which was a welcome development.
Yesterday, I decided to recharge as usual. But I got an information that I can't recharge, and this prompt me to go to the NEPA office to laid a complain. On getting there, I was told that I have to pay #5000 before I can recharge and that is a new directive from the state government, which I was skeptical about. What annoyed me was the fact that, the payment is manual and not through the state or FG ban.
Since morning, I have been trying to call them but the phone line kept me on voice note.
Corruption is every corner, the system has gotten to a point where it cannot be saved.
This must get to the state government.
madam you have to recharge, you should be able to recharge, but every metre comes with a pre existing debt of 5000 that will be deducted from every recharge you make until it completes 5000.. For example you recharge 5000...they will give you unit worth of 4100 deduct 900 until the 5000 is fully paid...
Pls don't give anybody money physically, that's the only scam I see... Goto pos shops tell them you want to buy nepa unit... You will give them your metre number and they will give you a code to load on the metre
Kandeed: spare me the hollywood script....how is that even possible? Storm a prison like Kuje to rescue their citizen? Warn em they'll return in body bags
i laugh in swahili... A country where civilians with sticks can chase jailers away and free prisoners .. Tueh...
Modified :the money wasn't kept in a cool dry place.
is it counterfeit or not, if it is not... Then every other thing is irrelevant... Spend the money like others and stop looking for what's not looking for you

InspectorSanusi: I saw a thread on nairaland by aliyu concerning this topic , he wrote
"Are these private security or ESN ?
If private then where did they get the license to own such weapon? That's a IWI Tavor TAR-21 which are only used by the Nigerian Navy special boat squad. The government should investigate this."
If you're not in the military, you have no business with a tavor. Is Mr Cubana into weapons trade and just using hotel business as cover up?
rosinkkit: 90% of igbo millionaires and billionaires are EXTREMELY selfish. THEIR OWN FAMILIES SUFFER, apart from the wife and kids.
They rarely do anything for their own communities apart from maybe distribute rice and provisions to the villagers at christmas.
You will see an Igbo man worth several millions of dollars. Some of his brothers/cousins etc will still be hustling on the streets, some even hawking.
You never see that with northerners. Once one of them is rich, and you see the brothers, you won't even know the one that is the big shot, because they're all solid.
When they travel to Dubai, you'll see up to 20 of them at the airport, from Alhaji to his brothers, sisters, mum, dad, cousins, drivers, hairdressers, house helps etc.
An Igbo man, if he travels with anyone, na him wife and maybe his kids. Finish.
More often than not, he just sneaks out alone.
I think the refusal of wealthy Igbos to share their wealth among their relatives and close kinsmen is a reason for the continued marginalisation of Igbos in Nigeria. Political influence requires that you have a large base of well-to-do elite. When you restrict that elite to a tiny club of monied men, your base is weakened, and easy to manipulate. It is very easy for others to take advantage of your group.
you have little knowledge of the igbos, yet you talk like an open barrel of them.. Your obsession is on a high level,
joyandfaith: 13 Biggest Illegal Businesses Around the World January 7, 2019
It’s not a secret that illegal business is one of the most profitable ventures across the globe. The most unpopular of them, the drug trafficking covers a major part of the revenue of all illegal criminal activities. According to the United Nations Corporation on Drug and Crime, the illegal drug trade alone attracts more than $600 billion in profit annually. These activities are always a big challenge for the government and also pose a big threat to the nation’s economy and environment. Most countries have strict laws against these kinds of illegal things, despite this, illegal businesses are expanding at an alarming rate. We have gathered some of the most unethical and illegal businesses across the globe that have left a large negative impact on many nations’ economy.
13. Bootlegging/ Rum Running
Bootlegging or rum running is a term given to an illegal business which includes illicit transportation of alcohol. One of the earliest known instances of alcohol smuggling was recorded during the American civil war, when ships illegally started transporting cheap Caribbean rum to the United States through Florida. Though old, alcohol smuggling is still practiced in many countries by organized criminals. They illegally trade alcohol to avoid tax and minimum purchase price. The United Kingdom’s government fails to collect an estimated tax of $2 billion due to illegal alcohol smuggling activities. Moreover, bootlegged alcohol causes thousands of deaths annually because of low quality and standard.
12 Trafficking of Cultural Property
Any cultural property is a physical entity that is an integral part of our cultural heritage. It may include monuments of any size, from historic buildings to small artifacts and paintings. Cultural property theft is a rising concern for historians and the United Nations as it threatens the existence of our cultural identity. The significant increment in the number of thefts over the last few couples of years has gathered more systematic attention from museums, non-profit and law enforcement agencies, many of which have now published websites to inform people about stolen, missing and recovered artwork.
11. Human Organs Trafficking
Human organ trading involves illegal buying or selling of human organs for transplantation. Commercial trading of organs is prohibited throughout the world except for Iran. According to a news report, each year about 2000 Indians sell their kidneys illegally for as low as $5000, and those were later sold as much as $200,000 per transplant. Another report by Global Financial Integrity estimates that illegal organ trades make a profit between $600 million and $1.2 billion a year.
10. Illegal Weapon Trafficking
Illegal weapon traffickers deal from explosives, small guns, light weapons to heavy machine guns. The illegal weapon trading is directly responsible for the increase of terrorist activities around the world. As per reports, every year an estimated 63 million guns have been trafficked to India and Pakistan. It is very difficult to guess the total size of the illegal arms trade market. The United States and Africa are considered as the countries with the most illicit weapons. An estimated value of illegal arms trafficking is around $60 billion a year, which is about 20% of the total global arms trade.
9. Illicit Crude Oil Trade
Illegal oil trading is a major problem in some countries, including those in Africa and Asia. It is estimated that more than 100,000 oil barrels are smuggled out each day from various parts of the world. In Mexico, oil companies lose $700 million annually when thieves tap into their oil pipelines. Every year, a large part of the oil is attacked by the Somalia pirates on the coast of Somalia. It is estimated that illegal oil makes more than $15 billion every year.
8. Wildlife Trafficking
The illegal wildlife trade includes everything from exotic pets, meat, and skins of wild animals, freshwater tortoise and turtles to monitor lizards and shark’s fin. Between 2007 and 2012, the poaching of rhinos is increased to 5000%. Some major examples of illegal wildlife trade are elephants for its teeth and lion and tigers for their skins. In 2015, the profit generated in this business was around $32 billion.
8. Money Laundering and Shell Companies
For the sake of simplicity, money laundering is a process of transforming the profits from other illegal business to a “legitimate” asset. One of the many ways of doing that is to create shell companies. A shell company, though not illegal, are without any sort of active business operation and physical assets. Most of the times they are used to cover up illegal revenues from law enforcement.
7. IUU Fishing iuu fishingImage Courtesy: Noaa Illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing takes place when fishing vessels operate by violating laws (defined by the local and central government) for the fishery. As per the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), illegal fishing causes loss of about $23 billion per year, with about 30 percent of illegal fishing across the world happening in Indonesia alone.
6. Illegal Mining
All mining activities that happen without state permission, mining license, mineral transportation limit, and in the absence of land rights, come under illegal mining. Illegal natural resource extraction becomes pressing when global mineral prices are soaring. It can belong to a massive-organized crime led by small criminals and mining syndicates, or it can be a subsistence activity, as is the case with artisanal mining.
5. Human Trafficking Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the aim of forced labor and illegal trades of organs, surrogacy or forced marriages. It is one of the fastest growing illegal activities around the world. In 2010, human trafficking has an estimated international trade of over $30 billion. In case of child trafficking, more than 30% of trafficked people were less than 18-year-old.
4. Illegal Logging
Illegal logging is the term given to the process where wood or timber is harvested, sold and bought without the consent of the national or local government and in the clear violation of national laws. Illegality could also take place during transport, for example, illegal processing and export, avoidance of taxes, a fraudulent declaration to customs, and fraudulent certification.
3. Drug Trafficking drug traffickingThe U.S Coast Guards offloading seized drugs in Miami Beach, 2014 Drug trafficking is one of the biggest and most dangerous illegal businesses in the world. According to a UN report, in 2003, the global illegal drug trade generated an estimated revenue of about $320 billion and in 2016, the number jumped to an estimated $500 billion. Even though drug trafficking is a worldwide phenomenon, developed countries like the United States and Mexico are badly affected by drug-related crime. Based on FBI reports, during the 1990s, around 5% of the total US citizens died annually because of illegal drugs. Small to medium scale online drug trades have also risen in recent years.
2. Counterfeiting CounterfeitA counterfeit replica of an authentic flash memory IC Any produced replica of any product that is unauthorized is a part of counterfeiting. They are the dummy or copied versions of the real products. A Counterfeit product includes clothes, shoes, electronic products, art and pirate software, and movies. It also includes fake company logos and brands. According to the 2007 OECD report, the market of counterfeit goods crossed more than $250 billion worldwide. The counterfeiting of goods is completely banned in numerous places still Counterfeit money is the most popular and major problem in many countries. Money counterfeiting is a worldwide concern, which is experienced by various developed and developing nations from time to time. If you are thinking that currency counterfeiting is more of a recent phenomenon, then you couldn’t be more wrong. Historians believe that the origin of currency counterfeiting is probably of the same age as the currency itself. In simple terms, counterfeit money is an imitation of an actual currency without the legal nod from the national government of the concerned nation. If went unnoticed, currency counterfeit can drain any nation’s economy by causing unparallel inflation and various economic problems.
1. Unethical Hacking/ Cyber Attack
There was a time when computer ‘masterminds’ use to break into other systems to achieve their personal agenda just for fun and some social work. But all changed in the wake of the 21st century. Now hacking has become more like a business, where a team of ‘professional’ hackers raid systems of big companies and make them hostage (figuratively speaking) and demand for ransom. According to a report, global cyber attacks in 2016 cost several companies over $450 billion, excluded millions of stolen documents and records.

kettykin: please igbos should start investing in Dubai , US and Canada so that foolish nigerians will not use foolishness and instigate another round of abandoned property and 20 pounds fraud. the jealousy is just too much , Tufiakwa !!!!!

SpecialAdviser: [s]I hate crime but I prefer drug pushers to ritualists which most of your kinsmen engage in.
Quit acting childish all over the internet because its a big shame to behave the way you do. Am sure you are worthless to your family and a lot of people around you would wish you are a drug pusher to become worthful for at least a second[/s]

poverty mentality.... You will remain poor until you stop victimizing rich people
TOTOnigga: Hello guys.... I don't just know.. Is it just me or is there anything I don't understand......my parents are rich people especially my dad, I know that for sure... someone paying #950,000 naira per year as school fees for me aside other expenses, plus multiple houses and lands I can't even keep count of....
How come they are this stingy? There is no time I would ask them for money for my own personal well being or any of my personal needs that they would like to assist me. I once ask mum for #12,000 naira just to buy a fairly used android phone (when I know they can even afford me an iPhone x) but she told me I should wait till months end before she gives me saying there is no money on ground... it's five months now and still nothing (not waiting for it though)...
Then I ask my dad, he told me I don't need an android phone... telling me that phone makes people unserious and other types of bulls*it( a 19 year old student for that matter)
Any expenses that is not book or academic related is not important...my parents would rather buy clothes for me than give me money to buy clothes... sometimes I end up not wearing some of them..
The funniest part is that, anytime I take any urgent lie(Asin scam) about any payment in school...they wouldn't Waits a second to send it to me... This has got me telling all sorts of lies just to get what I know can be gotten honestly.. It has even gotten to the point that any money that enters my hand now, I use it to play sports betting to see if I can get enough money for what I need, but I end up loosing the money...I am just frustrated.. someone time I wish I didn't even have rich parents cos what's the point...
I like your parents, they are investing in your future.. And not giving in to frivolities that might undermine their investments in you... Be humble until you can make your own money,. When you are 25-30 you will value this type of training, because by then you will know how to spend base on priorities.. Just don't fail them in their investment in you, it will pain them too much if you do.. Cao
GeneralKoko: I have been a victim of disrespect over the years from mainly my friends. I don't know if it is because I'm too free or too playful but I hardly gain the respect of people.
Please I need tips on how to gain the respect and loyalty of my friends. Thanks
Reason I used to tell myself while driving that I am the only sane driver on the road others are INSANE, not to abuse anyone or believe I Sabi pass, but to be extremely careful just to avoid unnecessary bashing
Aliyu007: If you think the events of the last few days in the so called OBa for anambra is normal then you need to rethink.
I pity you if you step your foot into that place. Many girls will have their destiny stolen. The super natural is real, it's not a matter of superstition. There are so many things out there without logical reasoning. Be careful.
oga oh... Shut up, and don't be jealous of another man's wealth... If you say vanity I go hear you, but why the accusative finger... If them arrest you now for defamation of character, how you go do am, hope say you get money to bail yourself... Abeg make everybody hold themselves dey watch, last last we go know who be who. Stop the accusations and double your hustle, who knows you might become richer than him, and people will say you use your mama for wealth
