This is consequences of how Amaju Pinnick treated Stephen Keshi. He made sure he discredited Keshi and humiliate him to push him out. Now, since then all his attempts for a foreign coach has been disgraceful. if this had been a local coach they lie against him to the public. Now we all know from Keshi to Oliseh and now Le Guen who has been lying. He should resign.

A desperate old wizard afraid of losing relevance if his party loses the election hence his tribal sentiments. With all his years in National politics, works minister etc. How many project did he attract to his Esan or Edo in general? He placed his boys in the Police to execute political assassinations and terror in his rivals.
Oshiomhole has fixed him out of political relevance in Edo and he is about to expire into irrelevance. A drowning man's last for survival.

Vanpascore:
Dear Nairalanders, pls your urgent advice is needed as we have 48 hrs ultimatum. A friend of mine travelled to Dubai two months ago with the aim that d place will be a better place for him bt on getting there, the opposite was met. He went there through an agent in Nigeria here who has a partner in d UAE. He applied for working visa which he was given two years by a company there. The problem started when he got the visa and occupation written on it is "Ordinary Labourer" as he applied for welding work, but the agent told him that, that is UAE style since he is going there as a technician. On getting there, he was welcomed by the company and he started work the third day as a labourer, real one. With this, he was given some documents which have been signed on his behalf, he was surprised as the documents contains employee -employer agreement. He called the agents both the one in Nigeria and UAE immediately what he saw, but the agents said he should be enduring.

To cut the story short, the work is a typical slavery work, though he is collecting about 65K/month as wage, when converted to naira. Now the problem is that other documents he needed to sign, he refused because of those conditions and since then, the agents have been begging him to sign. Also, there was a need for him to do medicals, he also refused and fortunately for him, he met one of the directors in the company and explain things to him bt the man answered him to write cancellation letter so that he can be sent back to Nigeria. But he did not want to waste almost 500k he paid this agent.

Now a Nigerian he met there directed him to go to the labour complaint office in Dubai, which he did and he got this reply from d labour office today "A complaint application number (MB165125948AE ) has been made on company number (488063 ) from employee (CHARLES UGO ) having work permit number ( 65600814), we hope that both of you would mutually discuss on this complaints during next 48 working hours before it gets registered on the company." Now the problem, this message has been forwarded to the company, the company has forwarded it to the agent in Dubai and the agent now called him and said he has made a great mistake by reporting that he may be deported and banned for one year from entering UAE.

Pls Nairalanders, 48hrs has started about 4hrs ago, the company may call on him in d next 4/5 hrs, what should he do? Is it true that he may be deported based on this?? Pls your sincere advice is needed. c
Too late to make any amends now. If he takes the job after raising hell the company will treat him worse than normal.
This is the problem with Nig agents in Nig, they tell people all the bla bla bla because people are desperate to get jobs in UAE. They collect outrageous fees without telling you the reality in ground.
Even you tell people the truth they still don't believe they all sorts of imaginary lies. As a technician, your visa is an ordinary labourer visa. Those jobs are very poor paying and you work heavy and live minimum. You will have to endure for a year or two to get experience and understand the system. N65k job is terrible by UAE standards. Not enough to have 3 average meals a day talk less of something to send home for savings. As a Nig, you can't cope with such pay especially if you were imagining "BIG".
Let him go home and prepare for another year. Reporting a company to the Labour ministry is not always favourable especially when you have not even worked for some months to have real proofs. So sad though.

Good.

EFCC shld not always wait for petition before acting.

Thank God for TSA.
EFCC is not the Holy spirit that can see hidden things.
With the massive level of impunity and stealing everywhere it's will difficult to pick one out or know for us where exactly to search unless people petition them. Also, petitioners are like to help provide damning evidence to nail the crooks.
That's how Nig can assist EFCC to fight corruption for our collective destiny. When there are so many corruption beneficiaries ready to conceal and help corrupt people only petitioners can draw attention to where corruption had taken place.

I celebrate them eternally...most marriages these days do not stand the test of time,I pray mine does.
Marriages don't work anything, it's the people in it who works the marriage to work or fail. Selfishness is the reason marriages fail. No matter how hard one party works at it, if the other party is a selfish or a "self-lover ", the other party's effort will be wasted.
In dance pair of 2, even if one is a champion dancer, if the partner is bad dancer every move they make will fail and both will fail eventually.

When you are on their payroll and you receive royalties, why won't you talk that way.
Stupid!!! All first class traditional rulers are given allowances by the federal govt. lucky Igbinedion, a son of a chief of the palace short-changed the Oba of his monthly FG allowance without the Oba knowing until Oshiomhole came and showed the Oba his montly FG allowance and the was in doubt at first considering how much difference he discovered was taking from his entitlements.

Talking about opposition, it was Dr Ogbemudia who first highlighted it in 1999 and ensured that Edo aligned with PDP which was evidently strong and likely to lead all other parties in the new democracy in 1999.
he used his good will with Edo people to campaign for Lucky Igbinedion. While Edo was with the Federal ruling power Edo suffered its worst governance since the era of Bendel state. hence, Edo had to risk going into opposition with Oshiomhole. As opposition with all its issues and challenges Oshiomhole navigated through successfully. Now that his party is in Federal power he has take the advantage and Edo should not no go to the opposition again.
Edo will never fall into the hand of hawks like Igbinedion and vultures like Anenih again. Ize-Iyamu is still their boy and he cant do without them.

Education › Re: Six Things That Makes Nigeria Universities Better Than Polytechnics by DeRay98(m): 8:35am On Jul 16, 2016
University and Polytechnic were not meant to be compared when they were established, they were originally meant to train skilled manpower for different levels and areas of skill applications. Even in same fields like Engineering, they were meant to trained operate from different positions. The confusion and issues arising are the products of wrong leaders in Education ministries and similar govt agencies over the years. It's comparing husband and wife, father and mother....who is better? Their roles are complementary. This useless fight has destroyed the role of polys, whose primary role was to train hands-on technical and technical manpower. Now, they have abandoned that role. The result is that our country has lack of properly trained, electricians, mechanics, tailors, bricklayers, plumbers etc. Polys were supposed to give specilized training to technical college graduands.
We inherited this system from Britain and it still works there but our own has scattered.

it's funny when people talk about education, especially tertiary graduates. you'd think it's a place where you get to build up your self, not knowing it's actually a place where students get to memorize books upon books upon books, that they'll eventually forget a year after graduation. tertiary education in Nigeria is overrated
"it's actually a place where students get to memorize books upon books upon books, that they'll eventually forget a year after graduation."

University education in Nigeria is not about mind development but ability to memorize and score high as the lecturers are lazy.
The difference btw the '60s. '70s Early '80s and now in job availability is that then, the economy was strong and diversified enough for the population of the country. But as the population grew, there was no proportional growth in the economy to keep up with the number of educated(graduands) emerging from the schools. Agriculture and other industries were abandoned as oil began to role out "ready-made" dollars for the rulers, impunity gradually grew in leaps and bounds as there was no punitive measures to curb the corruption especially in civil service.
Banks gave out loans to powerful influential people who never repaid their loans but lived large on borrowed money, lack of prosecution for such crimes committed by "the above the law" people killed many banks and the economy ended up in the bellies of such V.I.Ps.
They didn't create jobs to support govt to grow the economy that's how we got here.
Can you imagine if most of MKO Abiola's companies, Chief Igbinedion's companies like "Canada Dry" which competed stiffly with Coka Cola in Bendel in the '70s-'80s, Okada Air which had already become national carrier for some African countries then. Many other companies owned by Northern business men, Eastern businessmen, Delta today would have had some of the biggest Private and govt companies after they split from Edo (Bendel). These companies would have become exporters of large scale produce and products to earn forex. But they all died with their founders and subsequent govt ignored them as Oil was available for easy "take-away" .
A company that had 50 staff strenght in the '80s should 've by now be employing thousands of young people and the multiplier effect...

I don't believe its all the girls but lots of them still behave like 21 when they are 30. In my online interactions, so many of them at different times, i tried to strike a convo with them, they are shallow, cant keep a convo, they expect you to start telling them sweet nonsense of "romance" or embellish them with endless complements. if you fail to tell them what they wan to hear they just switch off. The desperate 38+ (claiming 32) only wants to hear marriage proposal when she doesn't even know you. If you fail to toll that line she concludes that you not serious....why?

She has used you as the bridge to cross the "river of her education", now she has found the bridge to the next level she wants to attain. she will suppress everything positive about you till her next move turns sour and if it happens with the next 2 yrs while you are still single and succeeding even if you are in a relationship, she will come to gate-crash and beg for forgiveness to have you back.
Now, you must be determined to use this set back as your set up to achieve success, otherwise, if you don't become very successful and she does, when you meet again in the future (whenever and wherever that may be) she will feel justified for leaving you.
All the best my guy. You have not failed but you just learned a lesson nobody would have been able to teach you.
