Many a time we argue just show ourselves -our knowledge, exposure,intelligence etc but seldom to honor God.Our Pride is usually at stake.We stubbornly hold on to that point of view even when it's clear it isn't right.
It's not easy to let go anyways especially when you know what other person is saying is nonsensical. We are tempted to lose our temper and reduce your opponent to nothing.


Thank God for His Word that can break a man.

Your argument is quite incoherent with the issue on ground. Giving to God has nothing to do with tithe or giving in the church. Mathew 25 is very clear on the way to give to God. The issue here is that there is no tithing in Christianity. Christianity started after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Did he pay or receive tithe? NO. Our first pastors-the apostles, did they pay or receive tithe? No. Everything is wrong in giving tithes to the Pastor when millions of people are in genuine need of that money. Those who cannot pay their hospital bills, those who cannot pay their school fees, those who have legal issues, but cannot hire a lawyer. These are the people God directed us to give money. You do not give to God by paying tithe. That is crass ignorance and misconception. You give to God when you give to the poor and the needy. That is the verdict in Mathew 25. May God grant you understanding.

Solomon said, “The liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself” (Proverbs 11:25 TLB). This epitaph on a tombstone says it all: “What I gave, I have. What I spent, I had. What I kept, I lost.”

(2) To accomplish more, you’ve got to grow more.

Do you feel stuck spiritually, relationally, career-wise, or at home? You won’t get unstuck by making external changes, like pursuing a new career, leaving your family, or changing churches. Nobody’s keeping you down but yourself. The lid on your life is—you.

So if you’re serious about getting unstuck, instead of looking for quick fixes take a long hard look at yourself, accept responsibility for what you see, pray, and decide to do something about it.

(3) It’s not enough to dream; you must do.

The Tartar tribes of Central Asia are reputed to have used a particular curse against their enemies. They didn’t call for their swords to rust or their people to die of disease. They simply said, “May you stay in one place forever.”

If you don’t work daily to improve yourself, that will be your fate too. You’ll end up stuck in the same place, doing the same things, dreaming the same dreams, and never getting anywhere.

So keep growing!

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS
For the next 60 seconds, set aside whatever
You're doing and take this opportunity! To know a little more about JESUS:

At the age of 33,
Jesus was condemned to death .

At the time
Crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst
Criminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it was
Even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike
Other criminals condemned to death by
Crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the
Cross by His hands and feet.

Each nail
Was 6 to 8 inches long.

The nails
Were driven into His wrist. Not
Into His palms as is commonly
Portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that
Extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew
That when the nails were being hammered into the
Wrist that tendon would tear and
Break, forcing Jesus to use His back
Muscles to support himself so that He could
Breath.

Both of His feet
Were nailed together. Thus He was forced to
Support Himself on the single nail that
Impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could
Not support himself with His legs because of the pain
So He was forced to alternate between arching His
Back then using his legs just to continue to
Breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the
Suffering, the courage.

Jesus endured this
Reality for over 3 hours.

Yes,
Over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of
Suffering? A few minutes before He died,
Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water
From his wounds.

From common images
We see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound
To His side... But do we realize His wounds
Were actually made in his body. A hammer
Driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped
And an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a
Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But
Before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and
Beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the
Flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His
Face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The
Crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men
Would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood
To bleed out, only water poured from His
Wounds.
The human adult body contains about 3.5 liters
(just less than a gallon) of blood.

Jesus poured all 3.5
Liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His
Members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond
That, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His
Chest..

All these without
Mentioning the humiliation He suffered after carrying His own
Cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his

If you free the sheeples from paying tithes but they give 40% as offering voluntarily and remain in Sin what have you achieved? Just ask yourself what do I hope to gain?Will Jesus be lifted high or I just want to showoff?Think ,God can't be Mocked...He Still looks at the intent.

And you are yet to prove from the scriptures that the New Testament believers paid tithes. I think we should emphasise more on genouristy than compulsive givings.
In today's church, tithes is compulsory. If a believer refuses to pay, he is cursed. But non believers who don't give tithes are not even harassed. I don't see any logic in it. Through out the scriptures, there's no where written that Jesus paid tithes or received any. People make reference to Matt23:23 but they quote it out of context.
I can choose to give 10% of my income but I'm not being compelled to. In Christ Jesus, there's liberty.

Abeg ignore them...Let them be listening to freeze.I wish all bible believers will ignore them.The only people that Will listen to them are those who never understood what the Bible says
