I don't why nairaland is giving this guy publicity.
How does this useless lifestyle add value to anybody? There are many Nigerians home and abroad that can inspire people but they don't deem those newsworthy.

Meanwhile *Here is an interesting read*

President Xi Jing Peng of China said:

When I was a small child , I was very selfish, always grab the best for myself. Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault but criticize others.

My father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.

One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles put the 2 bowls on the table. One bowl has one egg on top and the other bowl does not have any egg on top. He said ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want”. Eggs were hard to come by those days! Only get to eat eggs during festivals or New Year. Of Cos I chose the bowl with egg! As we started eating. I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and wallop up the egg. Then to my surprise as my father ate his noodles, there were TWO eggs at the bottom of his bowl beneath the noodes! I regretted so much! And scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision. My father smiled and sad to me, ”My child. You must remember what your eyes see may not be true. If u intent on taking advantage of people, u will end up losing!”

The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top. Again, he put the two bowls on the table and said to me, ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want?” This time I am smarter. I chose the bowl without any egg on top. To my surprise, as I separated the noodles on top, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl! Again my father smiled and said to me, ”My child, you must not always rely on experiences cos sometimes, life can cheat u or play tricks on u. But u must not be too annoyed or sad, just treat this as learning a lesson .You cannot Learn this from textbooks.

The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles, again one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top. He put the 2 bowls on the table and again said to me, ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want?”. This time, I told my father, ”Dad, u choose first. You are the head of the family and contributed the most to the family. ”My father did not decline and chose the bowl with one egg on top. As I eat my bowl of noodles, Sure in my heart that there is no egg inside the bowl. To my surprise! There were TWO eggs at the bottom of the bowl.

My father smiled at me with love in his eyes, ”My child, u must remember! When u think for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to u!”

I always remember these 3 sentences of my father and lived and do my business accordingly. True enough, my business was a roaring success.

Yes...but how are you sure this story is true?
James 1:19 says(New International Version )
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
jamael:
This are the kind of things that happens when Christians leave the duty of getting close to God through His word to their pastors, priests and prophets.

The Bible says in Mark 16:17 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues"

When 'believers' begin to run after signs and miracles at all cost, expect them to be taken advantaged of by the devil.

Read your Bible lest you fall prey to all these wolves in sheep clothing who have charisma with no character, gifts with no grace and power without purity.

Lord have mercy!

My brother, there are many things.Prayer is one of them.Too bad If you don't believe in prayers.I have seen prayers at work in Nigeria so leave matter.I wish I could say somethings here but I Dont want people to misconstrue it.Suffice it to say,PVC is not solution now.You are free to get it but your safety before the elections is more important than the PVC.
If this was a Christian forum I would have shared more.Just saying, not getting it should not deny a believer from taking communion.
achiever12:
So, what's the major tool? Prayer?

Can you point to just one thing your prayers over Nigeria has achieved?

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Philip Igbinijesu: "No PVC, No Communion For Church Members" by derecho(m): 8:05am On Mar 31, 2018
Be careful so that your good would not be evil spoken of.Besides, how many people take communion? Is it not those born again in the church?Meaning this measure/strong push wont get all those eligible in his church to go get their PVC.Secondly will all his members vote for one person,/party?
I know as Christians we have to exercise our franchise but it's unnecessary to say what he said.If care is not taken, the next thing will be NO PVC NO ENTRANCE INTO THE CHURCH. Christians should understand PVC isn't the major tool we have.Letz wake up

Romans 14:16 NIV

Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil.

My brother, you have a point but why deny a believer communion because of PVC?These things are common knowledge. Down south people put in so much effort to get it but are frustrated. Methink,if can is so interested in this they should monitor INEC and ensure it's easier to get registered. Where they smell foulplay they should raise alarm. As much as it's important to get this PVC,there are other dynamics. Christians should know better. We have something bigger than PVCs.
Have you asked yourself, what's the purported population of voters in Northern Nigeria? What happens if one of these top contenders die before the elections etc Getting PVC isn't as important as making sure the electoral process is free and fair.
I mean there are more pressing issues than PVC.For instance, who will vote if the Fulani herdsmen sack all these Christian communities?
PVC is good but not our/CAN's priority
resurgentxtian4:
CAN has to enforce the collection of pvcs.

We can’t be complaining of the present Government and not do anything to effect change in the way things are run.

INEC is also very guilty of disenfranchising the southern part of Nigeria while the North is being considerably catered for in the issuance of voters card. It is really frustrating vying for power and control with Muslims because they are so united and determined in achieving their nefarious goals.

Evidence abound but you are too blind to see,my friend.
I wanted to take you along the path of reasoning but I can see you are confused. How can you talk about evidence without being able to appreciate a thing?Would you do that without thinking?
I am reluctant to discuss The God issue with you simply because you have blocked your mind which is worse than being indoctrinated. You need to step up your atheist game because no deep thinker will take you serious.Just to boot, not everyone can appreciate evidence.
You need a level of sanity and understanding to know if something is true or false.
Imagine a blind man asking you to prove the shirt I'm wearing is black instead of first getting to see, learning about colors and their differences.

Mr man, every god has a name.

We have Yahweh, Sango, Thor, Allah, Krishma, Zeus...etc.

They all have names.

How do you expect me to learn anything from you when you cant even tell me the name of your GOD.

I clearly told you that my disbelief was caused by lack of evidence.

I never said anything about critical thinking.

My reason is clear...I HAVE NO EVIDENCE.
What has that got to do with critical thinking?

It's up to the person who claims there is god to provide evidence.

Can you show me evidence...NO.

You cant even tell me the name of your GOD, infact i think you are confused theist who doesn't know the name of his god.

You dont know the name of your GOD.
When you are asked, you dodge the question.
How will anyone take you serious.

You dont know the name of your GOD, admit it.

It's obvious you dont know anything about your faith.

You are a product of indoctrination.

You were programmed from birth to believe and when you called to answer a simple question, you run away with flimsy excuses.

Hmmm... If she served God faithfully she was taken away before corruption my brother. You should take solace in the fact that she didn't die without hope.Like I said,God can even show mercy to a sinner.Mercy doesn't only address the issue of sin,We all need it.
I can feel your pain but our being alive today doesn't mean we deserved it.We are not better than those who are gone.In fact, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.Yet,He shows us mercy daily.
Concerning the Concept of Grace and Mercy it's very deep.
pek:
Undeserved you say? My wife served God faithfully until her death. She doesn't deserve that kind of death. As I said earlier, people die everyday from one calamity or the other. Don't rub it in by claiming grace or mercy.

God created all things. He made all things for His pleasure, including you.
Coming to your level, when building your house you decide what room will be your toilet and what room is for what purpose. We have hierarchy as humans. The one with the greater power weilds influence, draft the laws that govern you and even enforces it.
God is not bound by our laws rather we are bound by His.
We are made for Him and not the other way.He is an embodiment of what is just and does not operate double standard.Better adjust yourself because He won't bow to your reasoning.
BlackManta:
The problem with you christians is DOUBLE STANDARD.

If a human being was discriminatory just like god, you will criticise him.

But God can discriminate.
God has favourites.
Even though we are his children, we are not equal in his eyes.

He can save you and he can abandon you to die.

Christians give God a free pass in everything they would criticise humans for.

Imagine if a mother has 4 children.

These 4 children were involved in an accident.

The mother has the money and resources to save her 4 children.

But she saved her favourite child and abandoned the other 3 to die.

If you met such a mother.
What would you tell herhuh
Would you clap for herhuh

Be honest and tell me your reaction.

That your sister survived a car crash is not enough justification to prove the existence or otherwise of God. To me, it shows lack of apathy. People die everyday on our roads. Religious people, people who serve God. Just last week, the chairman of CAN in one of the northern states died in a road accident. A church building collapsed in Akwa Ibom and killed hundreds. We are mortals, there are things we will never understand. Calamities abound. I lost my wife to a ghastly accident. Just akin to comparing oranges and apples.
First you are limited as a human and you can only do what you can do,assuming your story is true anyways.
God's ways are higher than our ways. For Him,death is not the end but the beginning of eternity.
God is not accountable to anyone. He can kill,He can make alive. He can resurrect. He allows the sun to shine on both the good and evil.Unlike you ,He doesn't delight in the death of a sinner. He can take a righteous person away before corruption. He owns all things and does what pleases Him.HE CAN NOT BE QUESTIONED
My friend, no one instructs Him.He is ALL KNOWING.
HIS JUDGEMENTS ARE RIGHT.
I wish I could oblige you the story of the six blind men of indostan.
Summary, God doesn't reason like humans who are limited.
BlackManta:
Thank you very much.

Allow me to narrate my personal expirience.

I used to be a firefighter.
One day fire engulfed a 5 storey building at Onitsha.
My office was contacted and me and my crew went to quench the flames.

It turns out there were 24 people trapped in the building.

As the leader of my crew, I gave them instructions. I decided that only 1 person must be saved.

The remaining 23 should be left to die.

So we saved only 1 person and watched as fire destroyed 23 lives.

Dont judge me.

I decided i will show mercy to just one person.

The 23 persons can die.

If a human being did this, you would call him a wicked psychopath.

But if God did it, you would tag it 'MERCY' and give testimony in church.

IS God not wonderful grin

The first story about the northerners I heard as a kid from my mum was how a northerner helped her as a kid to the train that brought them back .Her mum had left her as she had to escape for her dear life.Later growing up,I learnt what she called north was Benue cos I remember her calling katsina-ala.
I grieves me to know that the war was avoidable.Even Gowon regrets it.

Why I'm I sharing this? Some homebound trains may have been stopped and passengers massacred but some were helped by the natives to escape too. This conquest isn't essentially about tribes but religious faith.Even during the war the major propaganda that kept the Igbo's was that there was a plan to islamize them.
