I ask again, if the Fulani can carry AK-47 openly in Nigeria, what stops Ndigbo and other ethnic nationalities from open carry of Ak-47 or other military assault rifles? Until other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria start indulge in open carry of the assault rifles, the crap or atrocities by the so-called Fulani herdsmen will not stop.

It's not the duty of City or Village dwellers to clear weeds in front of government premises.

The place the Umuna Central School, Orlu, is located is by no means a rural area, however this Okorocha government has been trying to re-grade Orlu as a rural area for the convenience of the governor.

Owerrinchise people do not clear weeds in front of Emmanuel College and other schools in Owerri.

Pray that soon, May 2019, there shall be an end to this Apartheid policy in development program of Okorocha government. Okorocha's adoption of Owerri as the only urban town in Imo state, and his consequent concentration of development projects in only Owerri zone, thereby politically and economically over-empower people of Owerri, that amounts to Apartheid policy.
This is too lame a suggestion. Okoroawusa has not empowered the people of Owerri zone by any stratum. Owerri is the capital territory of Imo State and tend to occupy the mind of sitting governor. When dignitaries visit Imo State governor, they do not visit to Orlu, Okigwe or Oguta. They simply find their way to Owerri. First impression matters in most cases which are tenants to nature. The impression Owerri creates in the mind of the visitors remains the basic knowledge of entire state.

Thank you, Abagworo. Please keep the pictures coming.

In my opinion, I think Imo State needs continuity just like our neighboring states.

This is because a governor from another party will definitely abandon these projects.

Most importantly, I need those centenary towers completed so as not only to give Owerri a nice facelift, but to also provide accommodation to Ndi Imo.

See how Lagos, Anambra, Ebonyi, etc. are steadily progressing because of continuity
If it will take the continuity or stay in power of a dumbass political party such as APC to spur infrastructural development in a state, the people of the state do not deserve a pint of the free air.

It is foolhardy to talk about the destruction of Nigeria if Buhari secures a second term when the opposition force has not assembled vigilantes talk less a fighting force. Talk is very cheap. Buhari and his Fulani herdsmen are prepared and well equipped to start something. They also have brethren in all Nigerian security groups.

Yoruba's land never been under Fulani sieges its only Ilorin handed over their land to Fulani because of selfishness of Anfonja who mastermind the war , nupe laid siege on Yoruba land and they met their Waterloo . Yoruba people are courage and brave in war that is why Oyo empire is the most vast empire in Africa if not because of Yoruba inter States war which lasted for 100 years no tribes or ethnic deal confront Yoruba people. The Yoruba interstates war caused us a lot things as a result of this war Oyo empire collapsed and lost prestige, that's why Fulani claimed Ilorin.
The style of emirate administration probably stopped when the British took over administration in what eventually became Nigeria. I urge you to study the history Nigeria and range of emirate. Any area under the administrative influence of emirate, was a vassal territory of Sokoto Caliphate. The Yoruba lands declared western region of Nigeria were the ones not under the influence of Sokoto Caliphate.

Secondly, though the Yoruba lost considerable acreage to Sokoto Caliphate, yet they were able to stop marauding Sokoto Caliphate thugs somewhere in the present Oyo State through help of Ndigbo.

Some of the stringent measures include that we will start having them from 2020, which is two years from now. They are also thinking of not allowing our technicians to be part of the production inspection. But this is what we normally do in all the defence contracts, we send our personnel to go and understudy especially when it comes to specialized aircrafts like in Russia, our personnel are permanently based in where the production is being done for this MI35 helicopters.”

Northern Nigeria is united and dominated by the largest group which is Hausa/Fulani. Hausa Fulani influence overwhelms the smaller tribes of the north - Hausa covers the North.Hausa is the face of the North . Islamic religion which is the dominant religion encourages sodality than Christianity.

Southern Dynamics : Igbo and Yoruba have almost the same population size. No southern group is dominant enough to cover entire South. Even if Nigeria is divided into north ,west and east. Hausa has dominance over north, Yoruba has dominance over west. Igbo has no dominance over East(including the southern geographical area) .
Christianity doesn't encourage sodality.

Thesis : Southern Nigerian unification is unrealistic and impractical
Arrant nonsense. There is nothing such as Hausa/Fulani. It is Hausa or Fulani.

Almost every country in West Africa went through military coup in 60's where the old order was brought down. But those countries later came together for the common good. If Nigeria cant do the same then we are wasting our time together. Also, there was already fire mountain before the first coup and the civil war. The 1945 Jos killings, the 1953 Kano massacre, the 1963 census riots, the election crises of 1964, operation 'wetie' in 1965. Nigerians were already killing themselves in huge numbers before and after independence. So this talk that the first coup and the war were the cause of all our troubles is false. Nigeria was already burning which was why Nzeogwu struck
In Ghana or Dahomey no ethnic group was demonized for the coups. However, in Nigeria a certain ethnicity was demonized and accused of intent to dominant the rest of the country. Nigeria is standing on borrowed feet.

1966: ASSASSINATION OF ALHAJI (SIR) ABUBAKAR TAFAWA-BALEWA
“Who’s there?” A voice queried from inside. However, Ifeajuna replied by kicking the doors open with his boots.
“You’re under arrest sir,” Ifeajuna said, pointing his gun at the Prime Minister, who looked startled. “Get up sir, we don’t have a lot of time.”
“Alright,” the Prime Minister replied gently, “allow me to dress up.”
He put on a white flowing robe with white trousers, a pair of slippers and his prayer beads. Without fear and a disciplined face, he trudged out of the room and the residence gently as Ifeajuna and his soldiers accompanied him with pointed guns.
When they reached the parked vehicles, Ezedigbo had arrested the Finance Minister, Chief Okotie-Eboh, and had tossed him like a bag of groundnuts into the back of the 3-Ton truck while the Prime Minister was assisted into the backseat of Ifeajuna’s luxurious car, a red Mercedes Benz, as the convoy drove off to the rendezvous.
Some few kilometers to their rendezvous, the Prime Minister became restless and was muttering to himself as he rattled his prayer beads. Okafor hinted Ifeajuna of the situation who quickly slammed the brakes and came out of the car.
“Are you alright sir?” Ifeajuna asked the Prime Minister as he opened the side door. “Or would you like some fresh air?”
To Tafawa-Balewa, it was a rhetorical question and the decision to answer or not rested on him. Without answering the Major, he gently alighted from the car and ambled towards the darkness as Ifeajuna watched anxiously, oblivious to what the Prime Minister was up to.
Then from a slow walk, to a pace and a sprint, the Prime Minister dashed for the darkness. Ifeajuna did not bother to pursue. Quickly, he grabbed his gun from the car, cocked it and aimed for the fleeing Prime Minister whose white outfit contrasted the darkness and conspicuously gave him away.
The “revolution” had failed and the Prime Minister had become a liability to their movement anyway. The Major shot sporadically at the fleeing figure sending the tranquility of the darkness to a bustle of gunfire like the crackle of burning dried leaves.
Tafawa-Balewa fell as Ifeajuna stared in horror at the darkness whether he got his target. The Golden Voice of Africa had been silenced.
Quickly, he moved towards the still body of the Prime Minister and after confirming he was dead, dragged him to a tree trunk and rested the body in a seating position with his clothing still intact.
Then he and Okafor brought out Largema’s corpse from the boot of the car and laid it down beside Tafawa-Balewa’s body. Having realised the coup had failed on their part, they sped, en route Abeokuta-Sagamu, towards Enugu in the East, which was nearly 450 kilometres away.

Politics › Re: Wasteful Nigerians And Their Insatiable Appetite For Electricity. by DerideGull(m): 6:33pm On Jan 25, 2018
PStacks:
conservation of power is key to sustain and increase electricity generation and distribution.

Before I proceed with sharing my opinion, I would like to sample what other people think about the overall general Electricity situation in the country.

where I stay, since december last year Electricity has been 23 hours daily everyday till this day and I am wondering if the power situation had improved that much.

I shared this with some random persons I meet online and the person was of opinion that it is because I stay in a piority location.

Be that as it may, I believe electricity situation in the country has improved generally and you cant take that dint of hardwork away from the Minister in charge of Power and his boss the president that asigned him that ministry.

I mean, electricity generating capacity today is about and around 7,000megawats unlike the 4,000 that was available in the Jonathan days.
the drive and political will is there. We are seeing works on going at the Mambilla and all other sorts of tact being implored to increase and sustain electricity supply.

the essence of this thread is not to shower encomiums on the present APC government in that regards, that would be left for a later day. However I have been baffled by my recent findings.

in the last two months I have had reasons to visit 2 neighboring West African countries. Benin Republic and Niger Republic. my findings were Amazing. First and foremost was the constant supply of electricity. in Cotonue Benin repulic and in Maradi Niger republic, their electricity is constant K and it never blinks.
What I found amazing wasnt the fact that Electeicity was constant but indigenous people of both coutries alluded to the fact they knew we had power shortages in our country Nigeria while both their countries were supplied constant electricity from Nigeria.

simply put. Nigeria powers Niger Republic and Republic of Benin with constant electricity while there are deficiencies and shortages and atimes total power outage in Nigeria.

That was really ironical if you sort my opinion. well, those were what I was told and as amazing as they were, what I was told didnt amuse me as much as what I saw first hand for myself.

Considering their constant availability of power atleast in the places I visited, one would think their use of it would be excessive but rather its the other way round. In the suburbia neighborhood where I stayed in Niger, People had this very modest approach to life and nothing too ostentatious, on a whole street laden with various houses, you would hardly find any house with a source of electricity or light outside, what in Nigeria we would term "Security light".. let alone leaving them on in the day time like we do in Nigeria.if you were walking down a street where people reside in Chadwua Niger republic at say around 7pm at night, what you would think was that it was a remote village with no access whatsoever to electricity, but when you get into a compound of abode in their rooms, you find electricity and even at that, people are contious of the type of electrical appliances they used and what quantity they used per time. they regulated and controlled their use of electricity that they may pay less. for example, in say 6 bulbs over all In a house, at nights mainly, only 2 were switched on and not like other 4 werent working in other parts of the house. so, in essence what picture am I trying to paint? A picture of people that Conserve Electricity. people that have more electricity use lower amount of electricity productively and we that have lesser electricity supply use more wastefully..

People must begin to realise that sustainable electricity begins with them.

switch off bulb you arent using.
use those L.E.D bulbs, they consume less.
when your refrigerators are frozen, switch them off. It would take hours to defrost, only then again you can switch them on.
There is a way you could have electricity supply in your house and your consumption of it is next to zero which then begs the issue of "Pre-Paid Metering".

You see, there is a psychology behind metering. Because you believe you have a guage running, you want to always beat the meters or extend the time differetials inbetween payments for what you have consumed.

What this write up seeks to bring to bare is this. before all of the measures of boosting electric supply in the country yields significant rate of success every household or coporate organisation must be metered.

People should pay only based on consumption. issues of estimated billing systems gives room for a lot of fraud and corruption in the system. in Nigeria because there are no metering systems in place you see houses that use more than their capacity pay less while houses that use less than their capacity pays more.

estimated billing can never capture true usuage. To me generating more power without Metering is like fetching water in a basket.I should have thought that Pre-paid meters were mandatory, but what do we have, a case of hoarding and black market selling to highest bidder.

For us to Achieve success in our over all power situation in the country, we might have to take a look and borrow a leap from our fellow West-African countries of Niger Republic and Benin Republic by proper metering to monitor consumption right from the grassroot.

Metering goes a very long way in helping to conserve power.

In conclusion,

I would close with this Peter Drucker quote which says and I quote"You can not manage what you do not measure"... Peter Drucker.

By being falsely banded together has increased tensions and toxic hatreds among the citizens of Nigeria, communal indices that could have been eradicated by disintegration of Nigeria. The so-called Fulani herdsmen allegedly from Nigeria cannot drive their cattle into Cameroon and unleash the type of mayhem attributed to them without consequences equal to national magnitude of Cameroon. Therefore to put to death the craps of Fulani herdsmen and their vigilante counterparts, Nigeria should be disintegrated.

Buhari Has Achieved More Than Obasanjo Did In Eight Years – Sagay

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has continued to trigger more controversy and trade of words across the country.

While the Presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) defended the President, Professor Itse Sagay believes the former President lacks the moral right to fault the president government.

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-Corruption (PACAC) told Channels Television in a telephone interview the Buhari administration recorded more achievements than the eight-year rule of former President Obasanjo.

“I want to make a clear statement that in my view, what the Buhari government has achieved in two and half years is far more than what Obasanjo achieved in eight years,” said the senior lawyer.

“He (Obasanjo) has no right to start writing public letters and running down other governments simply because he’s no longer the one in power.”

The former President, in the 13-page statement issued on Tuesday, advised President Buhari not to seek re-election and called for a new movement to salvage Nigeria from its challenges.

He said the present government has failed, especially in one of the areas it pitched as its ‘key point of action’ when it assumed office – the anti-corruption fight.

In his reaction, Sagay believes Obasanjo lacks the moral right to offer such advice to the President, noting that it is coming from the wrong source.

He said: “My immediate reaction is that it sounds very ill in the mouth of the person who sought three terms of presidency to demand that the person who has not even sought a second term to abort any idea of doing the second term.

“That advice is coming from the wrong source; he has no moral right to give that advice.”

The PACAC chairman noted that he has monitored President Buhari’s government closely and cannot overlook that fact that it has had its own challenges.

He, however, insisted that it has been the best government since the country returned to democracy while accusing the former President of disrespecting his successors.

“This is the best government we have had since the return to civilian rule in 1999; far better than Obasanjo’s,” Sagay said.

“Obasanjo appears not to have respect for other people who have been in governance after him – (Late Umar) Yar’Adua, (Dr Goodluck) Jonathan, (President) Buhari.

“He has this penchant for writing derogatory letters about them and publishing it in the press and making them look bad to the public, and it shows lack of respect and my own view is that he wants to continue to dominate Nigerian politics,” he alleged.

Both "Buharia" and "Obasonjo" cannot arouse intellectual discussion. However, Sagay is a village drunk who claimed to be a constitutional expert yet did not know the functions of a Senate or its committees.
