Hi Ibrahim. I can understand your frustration but please know that the western culture is quite different from ours.

You have to be integrated into any society you live and work in and the simplest form of integration is language.

They want you to learn the basics of their language because that is what you would be using here on daily basis and believe me, without understanding what the people around you are saying at any time, life would become more difficult and you more suspicious of others.

Secondly, you may find it quite frustrating and difficult to find a decent job because most employers would like to know how good your German is since you would be using it daily at work and without being able to clearly understand the instructions given to you, you may find yourself getting sacked often because Germans have very little patience for tomfoolery.

Yes many speak English and would gladly interact with you in it but those are simple instances. For jobs, official engagements, citizenship and other important things, speaking and understanding German is required, though you do not have to be perfect in it.

Regarding proof of German language for the embassy, I would suggest contacting the consulate to tell you the proper documentation you need. Germans love official documents so I doubt an attestation from a random guy would be accepted.

I would rather advise you to get your certification and proof of German from the German cultural centre which is Goethe Institut in Lagos and I would not have to tell you that in order to obtain such, you must have knowledge of German or written an exam.

OK that is a great start. If you went to the Goethe Institut in VI and finished the course, then it means you passed the Zertifikat Deutsch exam right? That certificate is the key to get passed the the strict german embassy in Lagos.

Now the important question : As what do you want to come to Germany as? As a student or with work permit (any other way that is not family reunion and the 2 I mentioned earlier is a waste of time).

If as a student, then I can start the looking for admission process. If for work then I can't help because you need to be invited by a company.

After having watched the Video referred to on this thread title, I could hardly keep my composure. I have been highly aggravated and filled with rage since then that someone could abuse a person's child this way.

I wanted to wave it aside and move on but then again decided that I should take a step and lay a complaint, even if it amounts to nothing.

I found the Nigeria Police complaint Email online and have forwarded them the video.

Here is how my Email reads:

A recent video has surfaced online of a purported young female student of Ebonyi State University being physically abused by someone supposedly her "boyfriend"

As you could see in the attached video, the abuse was quite intense and may have possibly caused internal injury and grievous bodily harm on the unfortunate abused girl especially on her scalp and kidney.

The scenario is made more aggravating by the apathy and lack of sympathy by those standing around while the abuse was going on and the subsequent cheering on of the abuser by the bystanders, who I suspect are also accomplices to this terrible abuse.

I hereby kindly appeal to you distinguished officers, to use your office and legal authority to investigate this incident and if possible, bring all perpetrators to justice as there should be no more room for such archaic and malicious abuse of the weak in our society, especially our young women and future mothers.

You won't find this Chinese version anywhere outside China.

You can only buy the EU/International version, which is the A2017G or the US version, the A2017U (this version is superior to all other versions). So it depends on where you live.

So far, we have only received just security updates but Nougat update is coming soon because ZTE has shown a Nougat Beta version running on the Axon 7.

Also, the Axon 7 has been marketed as one of the few Google Daydream ready phones and Daydream only runs on android Nougat and upwards.

Generally, the phone is fast, beautiful to look at and has one of the best builds I have ever seen on a phone.

I like the phone a lot. It is a great phone for such bargain price.

ZTE completely degraded and stripped the European version of the Axon 7 of many functions, while passing all the goodies to the American version, like high and unrestricted audio quality , stock launcher, 4k video recording, On-screen as well as hardware navigation buttons (European version has only the hardware navigation buttons) etc.

All these while the European version costs more at 449 Euro compared to US $399.

Never seen this much discrimination when it comes to phone versions. Just go to Xda developers and read how Europeans are bitterly complaining.

So the ZTE Axon 7 doesn't have the best audio on phone. The title still belongs to HTC.
