SarkinYarki:Of course. Just wishing we can dodge this one..with their help. 9bn+ fine for something that could have bettered our lives that wasn't done is never a great taste in the mouth. ![]() |
helinues:Except those who are happy with it simply because it puts their incapable paymasters in good light. Those are potential enemies of the state if power changes hands. Those are the enemies of democracy. |
helinues:True bro. Life under APC has been so fruitful, flawless and free of all shady deals. I'm sure most Nigerians are shocked by the 'cluefulness' and 'visionfulness' of the ruling party. That's why EFCC had been hunting other party evildoers, because APC is filled to the brim with saints. I love the way nobody under PDP when these dirty deals were going on can be found in APC. ![]() |
For a country struggling to cater for its masses and with such debt profile, the court is quite inconsiderate to Nigeria. FG should explore anyway they can to avoid making this payment. Some unscrupulous elements will always want to benefit from this. |
Chartey:Sure thing nah. Based on say lucky strike just like Wolves vs Man City 20 odds last two weeks ![]() |

donveekings:In the original documentary aired by The Guardian, the man's claim was called 'unsubstantiated' by the same news outfit who were privy to the information first. But our bros there already has a court date with Fergie. |
alexsoftwork:Oga lock up abeg. Na today Liverpool begin do title chase only to capitulate when it matters? During Man Utd winning era, name any team wey get stars pass Man Utd. |
engrchykae:What court? Can you provide details when Fergie would arrive for the hearing? ![]() |
iamfromlagos:Was he? Webb became a PL referee in 2003. By then, Fergie already had 8 out of his 13 PL titles in the bag. Did he start working for Man Utd immediately? Considering Arsenal and Chelsea won the next three league titles, you can't even defend that claim. Besides, he wouldn't be an influential figure then as he is a fresher then, Let's look at the numbers, shall we? Howard Webb officiated just 47 United games with Ferguson in the side. United won 29 of them, lost 12 and drew 6. The highest number of United games Webb ever officiated for Man Utd in a season is 7 games. Most seasons, Webb officiated only 3 or 4 United games and United hasn't won all of those games in those season. Given that every other games was handled by a different referee, you should be accusing every other referee of the same thing too because games like that in which all were not even won cannot land a title. So how influential was Webb? Be the judge. |
medolab90:Who did? Lionel Messi? Fernando Torres? Who achieved more than Ronaldo's treble winning season where he emerged top scorer in both the PL and UCL as well as won the European golden shoe? Along with two more cups in the same 2008 in addition to the three had already won earlier? Even flattened out the second runner up with at least 150 points in the FIFA world best voting and Ballon d'Or? Don't even try making a case for anyone else because you just can't. |
engrchykae:Ferguson won about 13 League titles and 2 UCL titles, reaching the finals twice more. Those victories would require that he fixed over 500 games. So do you believe Howard Webb actually officiated that much games for Man Utd? If you believe instead that he fixed only the big games even, let's consider the last PL winning season in 2013, how many big games were won that season? How many of those games did Webb even officiate? Yet the league was won with four games in hand with Van Persie claiming top title winning honours for the first time. Bros, the only amazement here is how you've managed to peddle these info without thinking it through for once. |
OfeAchi:Wow they must have bribed their way to a lot of thing then. Bribed Real Madrid to keep hunting their top players. Bribed PFA to once name 8 man Utd players in an 11-man team of the season. Bribed FIFA to make Ronaldo the only PL player to have been named World Best. Bribed many professional players to keep voting Man Utd players into World XI. Even bribed the world to see Ferdinand and Vidic as one of the best football partnership. I think it's visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that your assertion is quite foolish if the above happened without bribes |
More grease to your elbow would be considered wrong if metaphors are not in existence. At the elbow is a joint. Granted it doesn't contain grease but grease is a lubricant and elbows need lubricants (synovial fluid) to make it's function easier. So wishing one an easier life isn't wrong. |

Men of the Anambra State Fire Service arrived at the scene with their equipment but were unable to quench the inferno as the angry mob on the scene prevented other fire trucks, including one from neighbouring Asaba in Delta State, from getting to the sceneIt appears a defence has already been dished out for public consumption ![]() |
oyatainer:Evidently, the team's fluidity counts. Spanish teams (the top dogs) are more fluid, although it's a combination of all tournaments' goals. That being said, most of the season's goals come via league football. It's funny though that you didn't even consider Serie A. You've already accepted it is a problem to play there now. Lol I don't get the Suarez part, but in the same season Suarez scored that much for England, he shared the goals award with a contender in Spain. The player's finesse in front of goal has a lot to do here as well but I'm implying that it's easier for good Spanish-based strikers to hit target more. Compare Suarez outing in England to his outing in Spain as lead striker. As for the UCL part, see the SS below.

movingclouds:Ronaldo has sheer pace. 'With the ball' is more about 'ball control' and I already spoke about taller players not having that advantage. Ronaldo relies more on this athleticism to beat players. This is shown in how he runs unto balls in space. Defensive contribution is not all about tackles bro. Messi is only effective defensively when the ball is on the ground. In a corner, Messi has little or no importance there. Aerial duels, Messi has no business there. Ronaldo is effective in both aspects. Although both players do not play 'defensively'. Stamina means endurance which is a cardio thing, not a short/tall players affair. You can say the same for strength too. Ibrahimovic is one of the strongest players in football buy he's so tall. Shorter players are harder to shrug off the ball because of their body size, not strength. But there are a lot more application of strength in football which is shown when contesting for the ball and shooting also. While Messi has scored more outside the box especially via set piece due to his accuracy, Ronaldo has scored more from great distances due to his power. |
movingclouds:Defenders are likely to mark a player who hogs the ball. Ronaldo doesn't get as much attention as Ronaldo because he doesn't have the low centre of gravity which much shorter players are blessed with, and as such, have better ball control. Even if he wanted to make it his style of play, he likely won't be as efficient as Messi, Hazard, e.t.c. So how about you also embrace some of Ronaldo's strengths. Pace Power Aerial ability Defensive contribution Shot power, e.t.c. I think these make him more complete, especially his being useful in defence and potent with both feet and his head in attack. |
uzoma213:I think Messi has more FIFA world best than Ronaldo. |
I can see people peddling goal ratio here as a way to prove Messi is a better goalscorer than Ronaldo. Let us break down Ronaldo's goal ratio shall we? EPL (Man Utd): 0.5 goals per game La Liga (Real Madrid): 1.1 goals per game Serie A (Juventus): 0.7 goals per game. In case you still have a problem understanding this ratio, see below, the league in which players who won the European golden shoe from 2009 - 2019 were playing.
|
I think Ronaldo is more dangerous. He's a threat from anywhere, potent on both feet and his imposing physique and aerial threat makes him an asset to both attack and defence. |
Bro. What is bad for a graduate is not knowing anyone ![]() |
