Nairaland General › Saint Vincent De Paul Making The Poor Smile On October 1st. by DesChyko(op): 12:09pm On Oct 01, 2016 |
Along the Badary expressway, precisely around Iyana Iba axis, members of St Vincent de Paul society, a society under the Catholic Church are making the less privilege smile, distributing relief materials to those they meet along the road, as well as those who request for such.
Clad in bright yellow shirts, the members from Iba New site shared food amongst others, leaving their beneficiaries munching happily as they smiled and discussed on.
These members ignored the pouring rain and marched on, smiles on their faces as they sought to cover all their targets as Nigeria marks her anniversary today , October 1st, 2016.
I would have taken pictures but I lack the permission to do so from them.
This is very commendable. |

LorDBolton: so hope you won't complain when people in your area go on rampage and start shooting indiscriminately and causing chaos to get attention when they don't like the management style of your LG chairman sha ooo. You mean I shouldn't complain NOW? Look all around you. That is happening in various forms. ND crises is just being given attention because it is affecting the purse of the men at Abuja. Every other societal vice are offshoots of protests against the incapability of the government. |
Politics › Re: BREAKING NEWS: Were Are The AVENGERS..? by DesChyko: 11:33am On Oct 01, 2016 |
LorDBolton: They are not commenting to mock per se but to remind these so-called avengers that "realistically" they cannot defeat the Nigerian govt. Realistically, the country's fortune has dwindled. Except the NDA has nothing whatsoever to do with it, I agree with your definition of defeat. I'm in support of their agitations because the only way to get heard in this government is through violence and violation of the laws. Deny it how much you can, it doesn't impact reality. |

Aufbauh: There is nothing more dangerous in life like sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity So you've done your online research to know who i am as regards my discipline and capacity....Smh! It is better not to open ones mouth and be thought a fool than to open it and clear all doubt. Perhaps you also need research to tell you a 'professional' madman when you see one. Perhaps one's inability to decipher the use of the brain is a more dangerous threat to life and living. That being said, you are inquiring why the Judge Tsoho should be taken off. My assumptions are evidently true or that you are ignorant of the petitions against his person. In both scenarios, my recommendations still stand. Stick to the APC/PDP party chants, defense and banters. It's obvious you are in no man's land right now. |

amaechi1: Sentiment is far different from laws and reality. The NJC works with facts not concocted piece by someone who feels he is not going win a case. So, you are saying that the petition against the judge is a concocted piece and therefore the counsel to the defendants are implicitly committing perjury? It could turn out two ways for you. Either you just unloaded a record-breaking pile of bullshit or the Nigerian Justice System is indeed a joke should those lawyers walk free without a penalty. Take a front seat. |
Politics › Re: Bribery: NJC Sacks 3 Judges, Orders Their Prosecution by DesChyko: 10:05am On Oct 01, 2016 |
Aufbauh: So that Ipob can celebrate their nemesis abi? what is John Tsoho's crime and to what ends will he wants to rope in nnamdi kanu? FYI Kanu case is beyond any sensational ruling even a judge from Abia state can't do otherwise. Despite reading the petition, you're like this? You are not a lawyer. You have no idea how the court system operates. Save your opinions for APC/PDP banter. It is easy to get lost where one is a stranger. |

Sir, it is clear that you ran for office four times and failed. It is also clear that some Nigerians saw something in you that hadn't been there the past years they rejected you. But it is also clear that your ascension to the helm was not devoid of illegal and dishonest practices at the polls. Spare us the sanctimonious card. Not everybody is into the utterances of your mouth. Scratch No. 4.
Sir, Boko Haram had been defeated technically on many occasions. Boko Haram was defeated as early as March 2015 because elections held in those states contrary to your party claims. These talks of soft targets fool no one. They had always been killing innocent citizens except you have an unpopular knowledge of their modus operandi. If your government believes the leaders from the SS are well aware of NDA's design, do not forget that you and BH share roots. Scratch No. 9.
Sir, Miitancy had always been a problem shut out by previous administrations. It just reinforced their attacks, and only the administration can explain how they let their scourge run wild. The control had always been from the helm. And Sir, at this point, you cannot chose not to let them hold the country to hostage. That is done, dusted and confirmed by your Vice. Now, you can take steps to ensure it doesn't continue. The country's condition is a proof that we're in hostage. Scratch No. 13
Sir, I see you're trying to talk logic with the militants. That is a new definition of wisdom I've not seen before, decorating logic on angry fellows. Did they see the benefit of light and still destroyed it? Did they get what was accrued to them from State/L.G. level and still tamper with the source? It's popular knowledge that all the revenue ends up at Abuja. You have said and done nothing on True Federalism. Yet you preach the message. That is illogical. Go back to the drawing board. Scratch 14.
Sir, the top dogs of the party whose umbrella you now fly mobilized and confused the masses to reject the removal of the subsidy in 2012, only for them to successfully rewind us back by four years recently. Also, a good number of your henchmen were involved in depleting the ECA despite wise counsel from Okonjo Iweala. So Sir, if you must wail, wail onto the folks you dine with. Scratch 21
Perhaps, it appears without plagiarism, no much sense can be made. Let me save my eyes for the next speech come October 1, 2017. |

By 'everyone' you mean? Hyperbole. Figure out the world's population; factor out Nigeria's population; separate those available on social networks; show the number present on the particular social network where this pic was uploaded to; Finally, note the views/ comments on that particular pic. Then define 'everyone'. And when a person is spotted, he/she is caught unprepared, and a hasty shot taken. But that photo was arranged; setting and all |

I'm not from Edo State. Do not live in Edo State. So, their politics and politicking is not and would never be my business The question I am asking and has been left unanswered is why I was banned for about a month for revealing confidential information without permission because I guessed that the Nairalander, 'mrkayus' name is Kayode but the 'mrkayus' in question created a thread claiming that he is from Imo State, my hometown and his thread was left to foster. That is coming at the back of many other frivolous bans from someone else's misconception to which I have kept my peace. What exactly is going on in this politics section? I sent a mail to the powers that be but neither was the ban reviewed nor a befitting response given. Below is the mail sent. I await an explanation.
