Change2015:We're on different pages. Comparing the politics of the 90s to what we have is Nigeria today is as disparate as trying to familiarise military and civilian rules in all ramifications. I'll prefer it if you hammer home with something recent. |
Puppet vs The Man.. The puppeteer decides. |
This has some truth in it. However, it wasn't achieved by the said 'Governors'. There seemed to be a lethargy towards this years election which affected the turnout for both parties. |
Yep! That's the 'Goodluck' about it. He has graduated. |
Hmmm.. Good move making peace. But this is Nairaland.. One shouldn't mistake it for reality. |
Supported. The bloodshed will do us no good. If only Tompolo and others can bear sacrificing their juicy contracts.. |
ayindejimmy:Hehehehehe.. You seem very optimistic. Anyways, my comment was made from analysing the current political climate and preferences. If the scenario you stated is possible, we are yet to see it. So, it'll be a reference point in the future. |
ayindejimmy:Am I that kind of person? Guess you need to inquire from Nairalanders who have lived with me long enough. As to this cause, call me the type of person who is very observant so as to recognize a lost cause from a distance but still gives my support and learns not to dwell too much on it when it eventually becomes a lost cause. I didn't lose a thing so why should I be overtly bothered for lending credence to a lost cause? |
nwaanambra1:Shhh.. Quiet. We never really stood a chance. I'm a statistician and this is what we do: Inference. Perhaps you are the naive one, and understandably so because you can't see beyond your nose. APC was democratically bound to succeed judging by the weight of their supporters. If ever PDP won, it is only possible through rigging, a feat that doesn't need my vote to work out. So don't sit in your 'safe zone' and post trash about what I do to stay alive in my residential area. #EOD. |
Change2015:I'm talking 21st century, you're backdating. Has it always been this way? |
Beadex1:Spot on. |
Beadex1:Even if he knows, he can't say such. The strength of Nigerian politicians is the volume of secrets you know and how tight you keep them. |
It was politically motivated if that is what you mean. 'By whom?' remains the question. |
Battle with care. |
WTF?? Come on, General. Giving excuses is hardly what we expect from you, not after the pressure that was heaped on the President and certainly not after Boko Haram have been driven to the fringes of Nigeria. Just do it. |
Senseless rambling. |
Cool. Looking forward to election results in Imo, Rivers and Lagos states ![]() |
The price of separation is quite expensive to pay |
helinues:Are you telling me that I prefer Hausa to Yorubas or that my people prefer Hausas to Yoruba? You really need to see underneath the 'smiling' faces of that businessman to uncover the shrewd composition of his decision making factor. The issue Ibos have with Hausas is their religion. But ordinarily.. Forget every ties between the two. I know the Ibos would do the best thing favourable to their kinsmen. And people make societies which form countries. |
First, let me dedicate 'Thunder with six packs' to any id.iot who contravenes the stipulated SE/SS only. Next, we must stick together politically and forget the SW. They are unreliable. Finally, we must show solidarity to our own the same way the Northerners show solidarity to their own. Irrespective of whether we won or not, nothing beats the satisfaction of knowing you're always welcome at home, even as a reject outside. I loved how the igbos in Ojo, Festac and Ajegunle ensured they backed PDP. It speaks volumes about the unity underneath the 'mind your business' attitudes. |
You get time o. It really baffles me when people make a priority, 'usernames' with words and a photo as proof of existence. Like seriously?? |
Love GEJ #NoHomo |
helinues:Ibos will support the party that fields their brother as a running mate which will most probably be a Northerner. The SE and SW hardly work in tandem. |
IamZinah:Try to modify your first post to contain enough information about your mission. Then quote names of moderators like lalasticlala, ishilove, Obinoscopy, e.t.c. Those are the few I know. They'll move it themselves. But your information should be quality. |
It can't overshadow GMB's victory. GMB's rule is still the future while GEJ's actions are fast becoming past tense and what he'll be remembered with. The only thing it showed is their difference in personality. While GEJ showed tolerance and willingness to accomodate, GMB lacks these, but these are of utmost importance in a democratic setting and must go with 'solid' decision making. |
IamZinah:Okay. You should have included all these in your introductory post. Although you're less likely to get attention until May 29th, but there's no harm in trial. Meanwhile, don't you have provisions to work over there yet? Or are you just concerned about the tuition? |
None |
I hereby invite MzJackBaueress and OREMUSSANCTUS here to kiss and make up or something like that. They're currently at each other's usernames (throats) and the umpire (or peacemaker), omenka, is more of Maurice Iwu than Jega. Perhaps they should just come in here and do their thing (whatever 'thing' means) ![]() |
Employee of FG. |
IamZinah:In Czech Republic. And the government are supposed to be sending you money for tuition and upkeep every month but haven't done so since November? |
