Reasons? |
Only? |
I must say that this article contains misleading information because some facts here cannot be ultimately proved. Back to the issue, it is bad for the President to ditch them thus. But if you're angling for abuse of his power or office after his recent idol status, you have the wrong one coming. |
Time for some mud-slinging, VP-elect? |
I think my lethargic response to violence makes people see me as weird. Where they expect me to react immediately, I prefer to think first. What they see as a fault is actually a habit refined with years. #SafetyFirst.. #LogicNext.. #ConsequencesFinally! |
It is only normal that he would sack them in favour of those he can relate better with for the greater good of the country. Any other reason is unjustified and unpardonable. Aso villa is a call to serve not a personal castle. |
I still think his comments were misintepreted. It's just out of place that a monarch with his bearing and experience would make such caustic comments even when emotional. Has he been in the newspages for the wrong reasons before now? |
Good call. Welcome to democracy, Buhari. Hope you're buckled up for the ride. Lots of surprises. |
It's impossible that these illegal deeds must have escaped their attention for this long. There are 'potential-criminals' who operate on the federal highways in secluded areas, seeking to deceive and if successful, rob unsuspecting victims of their time, and eventually, their properties or even their lives. The highways affected are the secluded areas on the route from Lagos to Asaba. They are like the usual people you see on the road, dressed as local indigenes standing by the road or riding beat-up motorcycles, but when they see an expensive vehicle drive past, they make frantic signs, pointing at your tires or under the vehicle and shouting in 'supposed fear'. When the driver of the vehicle parks, they quickly rush over, pour oil under the engine or on the tires, or worse still, immobilize the vehicle through diabolic means. They will then play the part of a good samaritan, by helping the driver (or occupants) look for a mechanic, whom will not arrive till dusk or who will work on the vehicle till its dark. This is when they rob the occupants of the vehicle of their valuables, and sometimes, the car too. Sometimes, it could become fatal. A certain driver was waved down in such manner on a busy highway with speeding cars. Out of fear, he slammed the brakes and swerved to park the car suddenly, not immediately mindful of the vehicles coming behind him. The vehicles behind him had to do all manner of frantic stops, some into the nearby bushes, some into the pavements, others scattered here and there in the middle of the road, the smell of burning tires everywhere. Thankfully, there was no casualties. It turned out that the driver had initial fears about the conditions of one of his vehicle tires before embarking on the compulsory journey, so when the criminal pointed in that manner at his tire, he feared the worst and did what may have resulted to the death of people. So, I'm calling on the highway security operatives to keep an eye out for these criminals and eradicate them before they eliminate the populace. |
Imo State will most probably not be volatile. They've got their reservations and preferences but fighting over what is 100% their potential gain is unfathomable. Of course, there are some bad eggs, but the greater majority of them would keep themselves safe for their relations and ambitions. Those who go volatile must have little to live for, must have been overcompensated or 'imported' into the state. |
IYANGBALI:That is the issue? Was it ever his government? Take away the merger, did Buhari really stand a chance? Subtract the sponsorships, what could APC had achieved? Along with the sponsorships would disappear the marketing, the buys, the institutions. Without all these, can it work? Come to think of it, was Tinubu the sole sponsor? So, do these people, sponsors especially, 'invest' in a '419er'? And will they stay quiet and watch their 'efforts' disappear into nothingness? These are questions whose analysis would give you the idea that he should have started out with straightforward people if he wanted a corruption-free government. |
stexsy:This, my brother, many chanting the 'Change' mantra, failed to take cognisance of. I hoped the Jonathan bandwagon had a better chance of transforming the country following his spats with the godfathers and the impending license renewals of the oil blocs, but this 'Change' has kept all fingers crossed awhile. Let's hope (hopefully) that the godfathers suddenly place the interests of the country at heart over their personal interests, else, we are back to square one. |
IYANGBALI:Tinubu is just the publicity figure. What about the powers behind the scene? You'ld find out soon enough that in Nigerian politicking, the easier the president allows himself be used to please the godfathers, the longer he lasts and the less troubles he'll have with the citizenry. After all, he who 'lived' by the sword, dies by the sword. |
APC was never a party with a 'laid-down' ideology. Their purpose has been achieved and that is done for their unity. If the 'puppet' doesn't play to the tune of the godfathers, we already know the outcome. #Peace. |
Tell this to Sigmund Freud. He'll surely brand you a pre-historic id.iot ![]() For someone who has wielded such power for four years, it is the more reason to believe his choice remains paramount and he can only be adviced or pleaded with. 'Pressured' is negatively inappropriate. |
halix239:Yes.. The world is adoring the clueless-weakling turned President and World Icon. But you.. So far, you've just succeeded in sounding like a stone-age id.iot. No offence intended, not that you'ld recognize one though. |
OdenigboAroli2:I don't believe anyone who doesn't know this is educated. Screaming for death wish on Boko Haram as if they don't know every part of Nigeria is civilian territory. They're even lucky the casualty count is low;something developed countries ensure before going in for the kill. By the way, it seems the ND militants are gearing up should their goodies be tampered with, I'ld like to see the NO-NONSENSE JUNTA go 'firing-on-all-fours' in those hugely populated areas on Nigeria's source of income:. Odi's 1999 #37billion compensation would look like a peasant's lot .Then they will realise there are other ways of solving issues other than violence when a mosquito is on one's scrotum. |
America.. Hehehehe.. I know all you're planning, but continue ![]() Just resume buying oil from us so everything can be back to normal. MEANWHILE Currency analyst at Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Kunle Ezun told THISDAY that the outcome of the presidential election was in line with analysts’ projections. You can not hide from the fact ![]() |
It is definitely malicious because nobody in his senses would subscribe to Atiku for support ![]() |
That awkward moment when a letter from the 'supposed owners of English Language' has 'Sirs' and 'Excellences' all over the place. #JoorOh! |
Finally, for the past three years, we only rejoiced widely and moved freely in my home town, Potiskum once (i.e. on 31st March, 2015) when they announced that you have won the election. There were also strategic roads in the town that we only could pass through on that very day, in the period of 3 years, due to restriction of movementsThis is very implicating. Is he saying that Boko Haram indeed have a political undertone? I hope that lack of freedom, peace and confidence meets end when you descend the throne,Hehehehe.. This is indeed a hurriedly composed letter. His presentation is contradictory. |
I initially thought The soldiers get little or no funding? Why is this 'soldier' saying something different? |
So what is the confusion there? You have only two options. Even if you don't make a decision now, you'll surely make one on the last day. |
erumena:No, there isn't. Who took their lives? |
In as much as we support the incumbent President, we must accept our incoming President with equal patriotism for the greater good of the country. If our passion for personal preferences supercedes the passion for the greater good of the country, then things are out of order. Etcetera, rein in your venom. Jonathan showed an example by conceding defeat. Even if he didn't, we must not be misled. |
tsdarkside:Amen to that. And by the virtues of Karma and your Capabilities, you shall be commensurately rewarded in exact proportions in Jesus name. ;-) |
gists:Anyhow you look at it, there is something even God has no direct control over in every man. That is called 'CHOICE'. Everyday, with each CHOICE we make, we write the pages of our destiny. He was given an advice (as we were told, not aware of) like every other person; he made his choice like every other person and you want to stand between him and his fame? Bros, Karma is a b*tch. You don't want a visit, trust me. |
G9 tinz loading.. They call him the clueless, but a prediction he made in 2012 came to fruition in 2015, just like he predicted. Lord, if this is 'cluelessness', please make me CLUELESS in everything I do.. Amen!! |
More details please!! Before you start throwing stones, find out the details!! |
otemanuduno:Yep.. Nobody calls their child 'Amadioha' or 'Ogun' this period either. Name has been officially 'deified'. Live with it ![]() |
