Quickly nipped in the bud you say.. That's so much praise for attacks that lasted 5 years (1980-1985). Do you know how many lives were lost? Over 18,000! Just a city (Yola) lost 10,000 people in itself (around 1984). I was just perusing the inventory of Nigerian arsenal at that time and it's quite surprising the poorly armed sect couldn't be easily subdued in a military rule. |
