It's cold out here but the details of this news alone made me shudder. |
..it is illogical for it to direct members to vote for certain candidates as the voters have the prerogative to exercise their inalienable rights in such a situation. That is the summary of it all. A priest involved in Nigerian politics, as shady as it is is an insult to the Catholic family. He never learns. This isn't the first time he has been cautioned. And the other day, someone was comparing him with Martin Luther to defend his actions, as if the Catholic Church and Lutheran Church go by identical religious practices. |
Cwaya:Lol!! Ol boy.. Person useless money those years o. And on how e finish, we go depend on Onyibabe sharp sharp... Hehehe ![]() |
Crazy Guy! |
In 2008.. Sent my IT form to ITF in Lagos to be signed.. And it wasn't NIPOST. It was EMS Speedpost. |
Confirm |
ANBAKO:Simple. Since the information the thread announces isn't here.
|
ANBAKO:How did he lead by example? What and what did he do when? Isn't that the title of your thread? We're here for that information. Where is it? If we also have to obtain that information from the Nigerian Army records offices, just say so. |
Guess they are respecting the 'Man of God' who isn't respecting his position. |

The key information isn't contained here. How did he end it using his military experience in a military regime? The details. So we can see if we can draw out a solution using a democratic experience in a democratic regime. Using military experience in a democratic regime spells out 'Odi 1999' ***MODIFIED*** Let me remind you of Odi town. Sometime in November, 1999, under the regime of Obasanjo, a military head of state turned president, about 12 policemen were killed by an armed gang based in that town. The FG gave 2 weeks for the town to fish out the culprits, but before that time could elapse, Obasanjo, the General Commander of the armed forces allegedly ordered the invasion. The entire town was burned down and civilians murdered in retaliation. The government put the death toll at 43+ but witnesses and activits put the figure at hundreds. Every indigene of that town were displaced; men, women and children, not to mention the molestation of women and girls by the soldiers. The FG paid the price for their folly, being ordered to pay ₦37bn compensation for the insensitive attack and violation of human rights. That's why when I see people clamouring for GEJ to open fire on BH despite their modus operandi to keep numerous hostages and play amongst civilians, I wonder if they understand 'democracy'. |
Happens frequently. Although it is often considered a childish reaction to discipline. |
Tonto mama don tire for am, |
BISIXCLUSIVE:See one Chelsea fan here ^^ I don catch am. |
Chelsea fans have only 'one' behaviour.. Violence Oriented! Lol@Bayern fans. |
Crowd mentality |
Cwaya:You have admirable strength of character, dude. People even draw strength from your ever-vibrant self, so it always amazes me when I think back at how awful things looked back then. The Lord is your strength. As for Zona, it's hard accepting that fact.. I remember his hot temper, his playful jibes, his vicious football tackles..and even how he used to call 'Yaya Toure' the boyfriend of Ifeyinwa.. I just find it hard to think him no more. He was so young and full of life. |
I noticed so many cultists gathered in their numerous fraternities chanting and running around this area, causing heavy traffic along the road that goes from Owerri to Obowo. Even the police men along the road did nothing to stop them, condemning motorists to spending too much time on that site. I noticed the careless abandon of the law enforcement as regards to this heavy traffic while travelling back to Imo State on 27th December last year, but I attributed the stupidity to Christmas celebrations. Noticing it today again, I found out this is the norm every evening/night. What is really happening? |
PassingShot:Check every of my quotes on Nairaland and highlight where I called Buhari an illiterate or anything close. You choose whom to vote for. And you do that in the right way. Painting an opponent black still doesn't improve your qualities. It is called 'envy' and it is detrimental, never positive. I call him clueless and I have no apologies for that because that is what he is known as the world over. If you doubt me, type clueless in Google and see what comes up.I can see the source of your 'knowledge', or should I say 'inspiration'. Perhaps it would be a little better for your image if you can do your thinking yourself and defend your opinions. |
This is what he should have made clear long ago and spared himself the embarassment. |
Are they absolutely sure? |
Everything is fair in Love and War. |
Please, do so. Why should priests try hard to keep parishioners' morals under check and yet, one of their own turns rogue under their noses. The Papacy, with the leader's tolerant view of things, should voice his opinion on this, for this act isn't going down well with the faithfuls. |
Austin234:God bless your intelligence and wisdom for seeing both sides of things. That's what I've been elucidating on with both of my posts here. The way he is going about it, it's just not morally upright. |
InvertedHammer:The Catholic society is a family guided by rules and norms. Martin Luther is a different pot of beans all together. You do not rob Peter to pay Paul. He is simply intoxicated by power and recognition that he is forgetting his identity. None of you castigating Fr.Mbaka is able to refute his claims..Refute whose claims? Does it look to you like I am interested in defending GEJ's misdemanours or promoting GMB's inadequacies? I'm simply promoting the faith. Until you do, I wish God manage your immediate family the way GEJ is managing Nigeria. And since you so much believe in GEJ, it should be a blessing.Amen to that. Unlike some of you who are hackneyed in reasoning, I prefer to see both sides of everything and give constructive criticism. No matter how holy or revolutionary anybody is, public criticism has no foundation in morals if it isn't meted out on the guilty party directly. With his influence, meeting the president one-on-one shouldn't be his problem. After this public dance of shame, one would still wonder why we're not being valued in the outside world. |
It is said that one shouldn't criticize the men of God to avoid incurring God's wrath, but Rev. Fr. Mbaka is becoming too radical to be wearing a priest's robe. Interferring with governance should be a collective decision by Nigerian priests, not a one-man's search for recognition. Why didn't he go for a private session with GEJ all through his tenure? Now, he is campaigning as the elections are close with a method 'as worthless as open letters' instead of focusing on winning souls for God. To whom more is given, more is expected. Fr. Mbaka is not respecting his title. |
Since it is all about PDP and APC, Nigeria will not make any significant progress under either presidential candidates. Both have shown themselves incapable of the 'change' we need. One is guilty of incompetence, the other is guilty of inadequacy. |
Why not just display two and spare us the ceremony? |
