FamilyRe: Childhood Days : Does Your Father Allow Friends To Visit You? by DesChyko: 9:55am On Oct 03, 2014
My Dad doesn't mind much. My mom is the person who even shows such resistance, especially to no-goods..
Both both become hard to please when they become too much.
FamilyRe: Ladies! Nt All Men Re Rapist by DesChyko: 9:53am On Oct 03, 2014
Any lady who insists all men are the same in the first place either didn't have the opportunity to attend a normal university or has beliefs firmly planted in an archaic traditional setting.
FamilyRe: How Would You Like To Die? by DesChyko: 9:52am On Oct 03, 2014
Well, I'll want to grow very old.
Then I won't want my great-grand kids and all relatives to cry hysterically. The only way to achieve this is to be in constant pain so they'll welcome death as a permnent relief and not feel too bad.
But I'm afraid of pain dammit!
Solve the puzzle.

Igbo don't sport such tribal marks, hence it's an impossible scenario for me.
FamilyRe: What Is The Best Quality You've Inherited From Either Of Your Parents? by DesChyko: 9:41am On Oct 03, 2014
From my Dad, his jovial and benevolent disposition, even towards enemies at times.
From my Mom, keeping family issues strictly familial.

Just love the profession.
The everyday learning that comes with it has no substitute in life to me.
FamilyRe: What Will You Do If You Find Out Your Child Is Gay? by DesChyko: 9:39am On Oct 03, 2014
Well, if the parents get to know, in a society like Nigeria, it's public news already then.
As awkward as being 'gay' seems to me, I can't think of any perfect reaction.

FamilyRe: Awaiting Fathers: Lets Share Our Experience by DesChyko: 5:59am On Oct 03, 2014
clinik: seriously sex is once in a week now.....am not really complaining but am looking if it won't affect her at due time. u know what I mean
From medical points of view, it is great to have sex with your pregnant wife as frequently as she allows.
1. It allows the body become tolerant to the foetus, as the genetic signatures in your sperm helps her body recognize and accept your strange contributions to the baby's formation. This prevents premature delivery(pre-eclampsia).
2. The woman gets more sexually stimulated now that ever. In truth, this is when they demand and enjoy sex more.

NB: It's my first so while she gives me a tough job to sleep, I end up researching most of the time, so we mostly find out these things together.
FamilyRe: Awaiting Fathers: Lets Share Our Experience by DesChyko: 5:50am On Oct 03, 2014
Mine is 23 weeks gone.
Actually, she just left for Lagos for ante natal check up, but will be back this week.
Well, she eats a lot these days, strange food mixtures for that matter, and she doesn't really let me eat those foods/fruits she keeps around without a little hesitation.
Also, she visits the toilet frequently even at night, having headaches and fever that lasts few minutes at times. And she always lets me know.
Bottom line is, I'm pretty scared. Just consoling myself with the doctor's report after ante natal check ups.
I miss those disturbances though. Not that they're fun, but it's interesting seeing a new habit in my wife.

Adaeze003: 1. Oh please shut it!
2. Or speak to ur damn anus! Lol, see this one...
3. why should your opinion matter to me?
4. even if I go for prayers all day for husband how is that any of your business?

5. Thats my point! Wetin concern u!
6. Does it put food on your table how girls look? Like what does it do for you?!

7. R u gon marry all the girls on earth? Mtcheew...
All because I wished you'll get married someday, I got in return, seven insult-laden lines. Probably the language isn't your strongpoint. But of course, my opinion shouldn't matter. Remember that.

To the males here, I hope you see this??
Be careful who you make your 'her' tomorrow.
FamilyRe: What Made You Decide To Get Married? by DesChyko: 6:52am On Sep 30, 2014
Well, I just kept in mind how easy it was for ladies to lose their heads and decency these days. And also, how the traditional African Woman qualities are dwindling in our today women.
So, at the primed age in the primed scenario, when I saw the beauty that managed to have 'well honed' African Woman qualities, I snapped her up.
Although some ladies become maternal after marriage, but for her, it'll only get better with time.
RomanceRe: Girls Walking Comfortably With Hairy Body! by DesChyko: 6:45am On Sep 30, 2014
Adaeze003: like how does hair on another person's body affect you guys biko?
Same reason you'll soon begin attending morning prayer sessions after endless night vigils for another person's attention.
Don't delude yourself. Your youthful days and self-willed disposition are limited.
You must become a subordinate some day. Say Amen!

justmag: .. Do men KINDLY tell their GF or WIVES when her arms start looking HAIRY or FURY??
The sight of furry arms interest me.. But hey, I'm no caveman and I prefer the smooth ones.
Even those who expose their hairy cleavage are a sight but a No No for me.

The best we have is video call/conference.

Get hooked with a super-cook who loves her kitchen.
And keep in mind what that money you're about to waste will do for her, your kids and your close 'uns.
But for grabbing a drink outside, hey, the boys gotta have some fun.

Great article.
The best of them all seem to be the blueberry/cranberry options, both of which I've never ever come across in my life, either alone or as an ingredient in any food source.
FamilyRe: Marriage Rules For The Digital Age by DesChyko: 6:26am On Sep 27, 2014
Nice piece.
I really thought I was being unfair when I sometimes choose not to reply my wife's messages on facebook/whatsapp, although I tell her I don't always want to.
I just don't feel it's appropriate, substituting these 'word messages' for 'looking into her eyes and listening to her voice as she tells me what she wants'.
Digital is good, but it actually ruins moments in relationships.
I hope baby sees that eventually.
EducationRe: Fupre's Shambolic Admission Process. by DesChyko: 6:14am On Sep 27, 2014
Having read through this thread, I'll allow the OP's loud mouth to help him solve his issues.
I don't see anything subdued or sad either about his vile reactions to some comments here.
This is more like a bland advertisment of "yet-to-be-confirmed academic prowess" than a call for help.

emmyrichie: grin I trust me understand how you feel.
Don't worry, you'd soon be saying the same thing someday.
No you don't.
1. I was born in the 1980s so you're a little mistaken.
2. That grin there clearly shows you don't identify with my stand otherwise..
TV/MoviesRe: Indomie Generation Wont Know What These Things Are (+PICTURES) by DesChyko: 8:31am On Sep 17, 2014
I think 'flashback' or some word of that nature would politely describe this than the usual derogatory 'indomie-generation' thing. It's becoming too frequent as a way of belittling the young'uns..
There are a lot of things they could do at their age now, you had zero idea about when you were that age.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Share The Memorable Experience/moments In Your Life by DesChyko: 7:46am On Sep 09, 2014
It was on a Wednesday, when my department, Mathematics department was defending their project in Anambra State University.
I was billed to defend mine the previous day, but the typist hadn't finished my work yet. Even on this day I'm writin about, my work still wasn't ready. I was still at the typist's office, when my friend, Gentle, came with his vehicle to convey me to the hall, telling me I was the last person, and the panel had been waiting for me for five minutes now.
I simply gathered my manuscript (tiny writings on foolscap pages, with red pen, diagrams and cancellations here and there) and hopped onto his ride. He took me straight to the hall, where I met the team of unimpressed panel members, looking at me in my oversized suit and stacked sheets of folscap paper in hand.
I approached the external examiner who was heading the panel, and explained to him that I just got my work back on Monday from my supervisor, hence my ill-preparedness till now, but he waved me off to go talk to my supervisor.
Before I even reached my supervisor's table, she screamed in a shrill voice "You're not serious. After making those corrections, did you bring it to me before you started typing?" I explained to her that even time didn't let me finish typing it till now, talk more if I had brought it to her. She dismissed me, saying she doesn't know me, or what I have there, hence, she can not endorse me.
I was heartbroken. I was pleading to no one in particular. Then, the Head of Department asked me "Your work hasn't even been typed. Are you ready?" I responded that I wrote everything in there so I have no problems. He then asked me to show them what I've got.
I then handed my stacks of manuscript over to the examiners, which they humorously shared page by page amongst each other. My topic was versed in 'Complex Analysis', so I introduced it and laid a few foundations.
Then, the questions started falling out. I parried them one after the other, not missing any of them.
The last person who bombarded me was Dr. Eric. He took me on a six-question route on Imaginary identities, and with a smile, I finished the last of them, there on the board.
He stood up and made a speech that I remember fondly.
We've been here since yesterday, listening to students who either didn't understand their topics well enough or just copied other people's work. But this boy here took his time to do his project, which made him late to submit till this day. I must say, this is the best project defence I've ever witnessed in all my years."
With this, he began to applaud. The lecturers joined them, while the hall exploded in uproar as my colleagues and other witnesses cheered. I shook hands with every lecturer present, offered my best smile to my H.O.D., located Gentle and gave him the warmest handshake and had to shake hands with almost everyone in the hall.
With a perfect score of 96 out of 100 (the supervisor must have had her pound of flesh here), and almost all Mathematics lecturers recognizing me or my name, I knew I had made a mark before leaving.
RomanceRe: Men - Would You Ever Ask Your Girlfriend For Money? by DesChyko: 7:13am On Sep 09, 2014
Personally, I'll be ordinarily shy to ask my female partner for money.
But on a deeper level o understanding in a very serious relationship, that shouldn't be an issue.
EducationRe: Respect First Class Students In Public Universities by DesChyko: 1:19pm On Sep 06, 2014
Oluwaseun or Seun.. You're not taking this adverts business of yours seriously.
You're chasing mega deals, when people are advertising themselves for free.
Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean. Better strike up 'space adverts' rates before this viable marrket loses its customers.
