That is what most women fail to understand. That owning a penis is never an easy task. On many occasions, the penis shortcircuits common sense and acts on its own accord. Incidences of rape, g.ay, mast.urbation, e.t.c. are proofs that the males aren't all that refined. After all, beneath all that 'higher intelligence' and 'speech ability', we are animals and all animals have that primal need. |
Innez.. From my own point of view, I think a good wife material must be domesticated and subordinate. She should be the spiritual pillar of the family as she is the direct link between father and kids, spending much more time with both than they do with themselves. Also, a good wife material must be tolerant. It isn't every awry situation that brings out her demons. You'll be blessed if you have one who hardly gets riled over controversy. If you ever find one with these qualities, it is your job to let her know that she must be heard. If you don't, you may have yourself a brooder, which doesn't augur well for longevity. |
How can the government stand in the face of this abominable act and do nothing?? In spite of it being cultural, it is dangerous and threatening to the life of a Nigerian, hence, it should be looked into. The 'surgeons' just don't get tired of groping at little girls' vag1na. Don't be surprised to see them having an erection while circumsizing the girls. Bloody retards ![]() ![]() ![]() |
So onila and boobsqee are still alive?? Good to know.. According to divine order, there are two people who can be chased from such home; The maid or Yourself.. Pig or not, he is the man of the house, the father to the kids and your husband. And polygamy isn't off the cards. |
I echo your sentiments there. I live in Imo State, but not in Owerri. So sometimes when on a journey, I marvel at the classy ladies found in Owerri town, dressed in sensual manners as well. I guess it has to do with the fact that there are four institutions located in and around Owerri, coupled with the fact that it is the busiest unrivalled city in the state. |
LegendarySage:It's not the name!! That'll make it sound like an orphanage or something close.. I'm sure Temigracie won't mind much though. |
Desert Flower Foundation.. Hehehehe |
This isn't advisable, except in the younger stage of life when marriage is still a far cry from reality. But it helps, knowing what makes women tick. |
Much needed viewpoint. |
LegendarySage:Thank you.. chibwike:Yeah.. Although I'll prefer to witness this modest beginnings.. |

Why it's this shocking? ![]() It's just a twitter handle for Christ's sake! Not a sex-change! How you guys manage to get over-excited by these 'internet-whims' baffles me. |
missterious:Envy of course! You're probably getting praised for being an excellent student. Or being hit upon/attracting the fine/rich schoolmates. Or being fawned upon by many hostelmates. Or just 'chopping' good money. Someone is being directly affected negatively. Someone close. And he/she has been watching this go on.. Now, what do you expect? |
I have nothing against beggars except the goddamn little kids!! They succeed in filling you with a variety of emotions everytime you meet them: Anger, Sadness, Pity, Frustration, e.t.c. Their modus operandi is when they see you, and you see them, but may or may not notice them really, as you pass by, they grip your wrist (I really mean grip as in IRON GRIP, which they must have been receiving training for). You look down at them to see really young faces looking at you with the most sorrowful eyes and making hand signs from their mouth and begging you to help with body languages. They mostly grip the left hand. If you're really unlucky, you'll get two of them kids, who're unwilling to let go, except you somehow communicate to them that you need to be freed so you can get money from your wallet/purse/pocket. If however, you're unwilling to give, you've got two passengers for a short while who will slow you down and pester you till they sight new preys.. And you end up feeling guilty!! |
These are nice tips though I'm sure I've seen an identical post elsewhere here. |
missterious:Particularly amongst the female folks, you'll get instances of parents knowing all about their wards activities in school from friends who had access to their parents' contacts. The worst part of it is the lies and exaggerations that follow up, so that such people may gain favours from the parents or succeed in breaking a home by sowing the seed of distrust. It happened quite frequently for us to just 'ignore'. I quickly deleted both and have had them in memory till now. |
Ahh.. When my GRANDMA died, I was really devastated. It was the first death I've witnessed but it didn't scare me as I continued to live in the house alone. But I cried terribly on that night, when the ambulance took her away and by her graveside. But three years on, my GRANDPA died, which I witnessed as well. I didn't even shed a tear, just came close to doing so when the ambulance took him away. But I couldn't sleep in the house anymore. I joined my cousins for quite a few days. I think the difference is while my Grandma died still brimming of life even on her last day, my Grandpa died amidst terrible pains till his last day, perhaps emotional too, because his health suffered a steady decline after my Grandma's death. He will be buried on October 17th. |
Committed her number to memory. My University days taught me never to keep my parents' numbers in my phone. |
Sanbuchi:The message underneath determines if it is necessary. |
It isn't proper, but it is necessary. They'll find out the truth in the long run, the most important thing being the great lesson underneath. |
Sweetheart, don't be scared. This is your best opportunity to find out if the family you're becoming part of will welcome you as you expect. They may be playing all cool in the presence of their son, now it's reality check. Just treat it as your first day in the University. You know, it's you coming to live with him after marriage, not him going to live with you. You will benefit greatly knowing the kind of household he grew up in, which will help you handle your own home to prefection. From a guy's point of view, this is an assessment, typical in the igbo tradition (don't know your tribe though). But if he is, you'll have to accept it. He has full pride and trust in you that he feels so eager to present the diamond he has found to his parents. Go for it!! If he calls you frequently, then know that he deeply cares and is as scared as you are.. I wish you success in your exams. |
Overgeneralization. |
I wonder if this is just an avenue of sending your message across to the ladies. This is Nairaland, not Nigeria. |
Surely. You just need a great plan. Every family needs one, whether 60k, 10k or 1m per month. |
bushdoc9919:Thank you very much for this wonderful piece of information. One of the most interesting replies I've ever gotten on Nairaland. God bless you. I'm very grateful. |
I wonder if that course is economically important |
For me, I'll just rub my chin, then tell her "I'll call you" and walk away with out a second look. |
He probably thought he could get the 'African Woman' in his mother from you, but he couldn't. You should probably learn how a woman does her thing in an orthodox Nigerian home. |
This statistics is not reliable. |
Turn off your phone(s) and electric gadgets for a start. |
It is possible for a person to have all these traits. Factually speaking, I think I have all these traits expressed habitually or as an alter ego. |
