La Rochelle: Who should be the DG of NAFDAC, a Chemist or a Pharmacist?
As an academically sound individual, refer to 'Chemists' as Patent Medical Dealers. And even at that, the topic becomes lame. They're businessmen, not core specialists

If I may suggest, let the least number of representatives be 5 and above. That is to ensure the continuity of the debate. If you watch last debate, some pulled out after making up the Contestants' list, and only the regulars here saw it through all the way.
@Finest.. What says you about that pm?

Sermwell: thanks for the brief information! There is no proper orientation on what this thread is all about and that's why some of us here are wondering what all this "grouping" and "topic thing is all about!
There is and has been. The little problem is you weren't patient enough to go through. Consult the first page. You'll get all the information you need
EducationRe: Nairaland Undergraduates Central Chatroom by DesChyko1(m): 8:46am On Oct 31, 2013
Please. Just rep your school or suggest a topic.. All this plenty discourses are just making the thread unnecessarily long. I think the Co-ordinators should be allowed to do their job.. Repping Anambra State University (ANSU)

PS: Mod.. Please, hide all these silly arguments. It's lengthening the thread unnecessarily. If possible sef, start up a new thread. Any information contained within this thread now can easily be overlooked.

Please, don't joke with their 'bullet-proof' apron o.. You can mess with the rosary and the crucifix, but don't tamper with that 'green essence of God'

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Christians Put On Cross. by DesChyko1(m): 3:10am On Oct 28, 2013
I
don't tink is proper for christians to put on cross because cross is a
curse thing and moreover Jesus Christ is no longer on the cross.
italo: 1 Cor1:23. Paul says, "...but we preach Christ crucified..." Why does Paul preach Christ crucified? Doesn't he know Jesus has been raised from the dead? Of course he does! But, he knows that it is through the power of the crucified Christ on the cross that the bonds of sin and death are broken. As Paul says in verse 24, Christ crucified is the "power of God".

1 Cor 2:2, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Again, didn't Paul know that Jesus had risen from the dead? Of course, he did.
Paul preaches Christ crucified because the cross is the "power of God". This is why, we "carry his cross," because we, too, preach Christ crucified. The Crucifix reminds us not only of God's power, but also His love for us - giving His only begotten Son up for suffering and death.
Also, here in this life we do not share so much in the glory of the Resurrection, as we do in the suffering of Jesus on the cross; after all, we must take up our cross daily if we are to follow Jesus, as it says in Lk 9:23.
And, we must die with Christ in order to live with Him as Romans 6:8 tells us. Where did Christ die? On the cross. The Crucifix serves to remind us of these things.
One other passage to keep in mind is Galatians 3:1, "O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?" Did you see that? Jesus was publicly portrayed, before their "eyes", as being crucified. Sounds kind of like they may have been looking at a Crucifix, doesn't it?
I did tell you if you asked politely, you'll surely get a good answer. Well done @ Italo. You defended you faith quite amazingly.

FOLYKAZE: This is a symbol that christianity is idolatory and reformed pagan.

Also showing the level of brainwashing on christians....if jesus had die few years ago, it sure christians will put on electric chair
Alas.. Judgement day is here.. And God is on Nairaland. Hello God, nice to meet you.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Christians Put On Cross. by DesChyko1(m): 6:28pm On Oct 27, 2013
Firstly, I don't think the cross is a 'curse thing'.. Before you succeed, you must sacrifice.. Before your crown, you must carry your cross. Secondly, it's most probably not a cross you saw but a crucifix pendant. Finally, you should not openly question a religious act or belief that doesn't affect your social human right and moral values. It's a step too far. I believe they have their reasons which they will explain if you ask politely and not condemn. Peace.

Tgirl.. Just some word of advice.. 1. Try to make the debate much shorter in terms of length of words. So they can be easily studied.
2. Get serious and hardworking judges so others won't be over-laboured. They must be knowledged about debates/the topic and language to avoid funny questions and incomprehension
3. Take your time in planning out. Rushing the debate isn't cool. Let it last out its quality.
4. Don't change any of your rules for any reason.
5. You're the boss. You're the planner. The success are all on your decisions. Always remember that.
6. Emmm.. Emmm.. You know nah *winks*

@Sylvangel..Initially, before this debate, I personally did not agree that tertiary education should not be free. But my exposure on this had led me to think otherwise. I think being indifferent to the plight of the less privileged isn't being patriotic. Like in the case of the 489 lawmakers earning N240m. If they were earning N24m like their mates are, that leaves N105bn free to be used. If you vent how money is being spent in the country, we would get our returns.. And as for Rochas, it's a mere political strategy. Only those outside Imo don't really know how tricky that man is.

But Sam, debate aside, it's quite unfortunate the less-privileged. The 'not going to school due to accident by birth' part really got to me.. Clearly, some bests are being shaded.
