You said she was aware that you couldn't marry her and that you love her blah blah blah, you sure have a strange way of showing your love. So you chose your religion over love. It is sickening; i believe if it were not the religion issue, it would have been tribe/ethnicity or class/background. Missing the point, if you were a celebrity and there has been previous unfounded speculations that you might be homo and you went out with another guy with similar speculations going on about him, then that makes you automatically a homo in the eyes of the paps and it will give the papers something to hold the conjecture together with. I recall the magazine specifically said she was dating Eva and they made a big scene at the pictures.

The last i read about her was that she was lessy and was seen at the pictures with that Eva girl from American's Next top Model. Not sure how true that is though

It is not just about Nigerian women but women from all works of life, I suppose a woman that does not work for her keeps would expect to date/marry a man that would pay her bills and stuff.

Have you stopped to consider the fact that she might be dyslexic, many of the successful entrepreneurs, hollywood actors and musicians can even read or write properly not because they weren't exposed to good education but because of their dyslexia. If you love her it shouldn't matter to you. when you have kids together get them a private tutor to help with their homework. This should be the least of your worries for now and consider yourself one very lucky man.

I guess when you meet the right person for you and all other things are in place--there should be a specific age when people shouldn't get married as long as you are over 18.

OMG this thread is such an eye opener for me, i now know what is meant by the word aristos. Most of the girls that go after older men, in my opinion lack that fatherly attention in their life's---I can't imagine going out with someone twice as old as i am---YUCK

Perhaps your daughter should stay single for a while, she is only 17 and she doesn't need to use one guy to get over another one, you know what that could do to her self confidence when she is a lot older, she might start to feel the need to have a guy in her life just for the sake of it. I know it not the nicest thing in the world being dumped by a guy, she gotta chill for a while, go out with her friends and keep herself busy.
