Bro, rejection is part of the system.

If you really don't wish to be rejected, so far you have all the requirements, then search for programs that have Non-restricted admission.

Use the same format you used for your admission application. Just fine tune it to visa application

I went without primary school certificate or testimonial. Mr paulinus asked for it, I said I did not come with it, then he said SAY YOU DONT HAVE IT, because if you have it you would have come with it, I said okay sir I don't have it, then he said bring your secondary school certificate...
I never graduated or finished primary school.

I'm using Daad.de to search for master's, should I choose only English taught or German or combine both, what are the implications and I don't have Toefl or any English proficiency cert. What are my chances and alternatives or remedies?

If you're highly proficient in German language, you can search for courses that are taught in German.

Just a minute number of schools will not require proof of your English language proficiency. So it's best you get one: IELTS, TOEFL or EPL.

I think he wanted to do a part of his PhD at Jena, and their type of visa is different from normal student visa. He told Paulinus he came for student visa o. Naso Baba ask am to dey arrange documents. Asked for transcript, he said he doesn't have. Paulinus asked for NYSC Certificate, he brought it out but didn't make photocopy. Paulinus asked for proof of fund; the guy brought a document issued by the school. Paulinus was like "you can't teach me my job"
Until he was later clarifying Paulinus that it's research visa he was going for..
I just dey watch drama dey laugh..

Hello Gurus. Thank you guys for all you do here. I have been a silent reader here for about 2 years now and I can say I'm finally ready to give Deutschland a go. I am a recent graduate that is due to go for Nysc by june/July this year but I also intend to process the application, I plan on leaving if the opportunity presents itself and everything falls thru. My question is will the absence of nysc certificate among my certs cause any trouble. Is the nysc certificate compulsory at the embassy for MSc applications. Please respond. Thank you.

I don't think it's compulsory for admission and visa application... But this very morning at the consulate, I saw Paulinus asking a guy for Student visa for his NYSC Certificate. He claimed it's under "Supplementary documents".

Besides, why start NYSC and leave without completing it?

I'll advice that you register on the NYSC portal immediately your school mobilises you. You can then do "revalidation" later on when you wish to go to camp.

Even if you don't plan to work in Nigeria... You can never say where it will be needed.

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. Everyone takes their docs to the embassy for validation, how about Notaries? Is there something unique about getting it done at the embassy? I live in Turkey and there are Notaries around, the embassy in far from my city so I was wondering if my docs will be rejected for using a notary.

Also, I want to apply for an Msc (2nd) in Business Analytics or Data Science. I'm currently on the brink of completing my thesis and I have my transcripts from my current Msc, will I still need to submit my Msc degree(note I don't have it yet), or should I just apply with my BSc as my latest degree(creating a huge gap between 2013 and now).

Finally, I get the message ( "For this study request, the university has not yet approved the application phase. Therefore you can not create an application yet"
When I try to create an application, I think it's cos the schools are yet to commence application cos I checked their website, I was just wondering should I forward my docs to uniassist so they can start processing while I wait for the application to start on the 15th?

@ first bolded part, sometimes, some schools are specific on the type of certification they want. It's advisable to know what your school wants. But then, embassy certification seems to be the most popular cos it's free (at least for 5 sets) for those who have proximity to the embassy. High court certification is okay, same as public notaries. But the bottom line is that you should know what your school wants and do it so that your application won't be rejected.

@ second bolded part, though you didn't state the courses you studied for your BSc and current MSc, I think you can add details of the MSc you just completed. It can boost your chances, if they are related. During visa interview, you should be ready to explain to the VO why you want another MSc instead of a PhD.

@third bolded part, you can't create an application on Uni-assist outside the Application window of the school. So, just chill for the start of Applications. If it's 15th, I assure you it will be opened on that same date. You can spend the mean time getting your documents certified.

AM- Approval mail from German embassy asking you to send your passport and insurance after few weeks of interview
AL- Admission letter from a school
SL- Sponsorship Letter
BA- Blocked account
VISUM- A stamped visa on your passport
VPD- document from uni assist stating your gpa when converted to german scale and your eligibility to apply for the intended course
VO - officer in charge of your interview at the embassy

I keep seeing everyone talking about blocked account, i read previously that one can use a sponsor letter from alien office which will be given to your sponsor in germany... Who has used that process, and how effective can that be please. Someone should help, that is the means i want to use, considering the person has a german passport there

Yes, you can use a sponsor letter if your sponsor meets the requirements to issue it. It's as effective as a blocked account too and many people have gotten their AM with it. To avoid delay in processing, make sure you take it with you to the interview

You can certify a maximum of 5 sets at one appointment.

You can give it a try, but I think it might work with private universities. I can't say for public universities.
But to be on the safe side, ensure you apply for Bachelors as an alternative, just in case masters doesn't come through.

If daad hasn't been too productive, let me suggest a process.. it can take some time and consume data . But I'm sure you'll find one or two more places you can apply to.
Since not all schools are listed on daad, you can google out the list of all universities in Germany. Open the search result of Wikipedia. Now, open each school website on a separate tab and check out the list of courses they offer...
If you'll need an extra hand as regards the internet surfing, I can come over to assist.

As it stands now, you have a lot of fact finding to do.

1. Visit www.daad.de/en
You'll be able to search for schools that offer your course.
When you open a search, check each school for their Requirements and application period. From there, you'll know what next to do about application.

2. If you're totally new to studying in Germany (An assumption tho), then read up from page 1 of this part. You'll get more details that can aid your search for schools, how to approach each mode of Application, how to certify documents, Uni-assist stuffs, admission letter down to visa interview, AM and visa.

And yes, I was born after 1992. Shey my parents don even meet for 1992 sha..lol

Anyways, only those born after 1992 (dunno the specific date now) can use the NPC birth certificate. Those born before 1992 should get a court attestation deposed by the head of the family.
