Philfit: How much does High court maitama-Abuja charge per certification of document. Thanks. And can you use uni assist is your german CGPA is 2.58 or anything above 2.5, would they still review it? I think the CGPA decision lies mostly in the hands of the School, not Uni-assist cos admission won't come from Uni-assist. Theirs is just to review your documents |

iblion: Hi guys, please is it compulsory to apply to international office in Germany coupled with your normal application to schools. thanks It depends on what the schools wants you to do. For schools like FAU Erlangen-Nurnberg and LMU Munich, you'll send a separate application to the international office too. Know exactly what your school wants from you. If you're in doubt, the best place to get clarification is from the course coordinator. |

rawe45: Hi everyone, I'm asking this for a brother-like friend.
This bro did his WAEC in 2002 but he wasn't didn't have the opportunity of going to a higher institution to further several reasons/happenings in his life. Yesterday we were talking about studying abroad and he asked me if I know anything about studying in Germany. I told him I'd help him find out about studying in Germany. His questions are with that 2002 result, can he still apply to a German school as undergraduate? if the answer to is Yes, as an undergraduate will he be allowed to relocate his family with him?
Thanks Hello! About the brother, WAEC alone is not sufficient to apply for a Bachelors degree. He needs it together with any of the following: 1. Completed 100L transcript 2. HND 3. Bachelors degree. Age isn't much of a factor, but he should be able to convince the VO why he hasn't been in school for a while. About the family, as most Pple do advise here, it's best he goes first and settles down, then bring his family via reunion visa later. Shalom |

ibnabdulhakeem: Good afternoon everyone,
I'm so much glad finding this group, I started following from thread(5). Many thanks to the bosses and gurus here. I really need help.
I graduated with 2.49/5.0 Nigeria scale equivalent to 2.8 German scale (Food science and Nutrition). And I would like to go for Msc. Yes, I know my chance is slim. But someone had narrated how he got Msc admission with a lower CGPA(2.9, German scale). My problem now is that, I finding it very difficult to get a school either for UG/PG where I can study something related to my UG program. Most of the one I see required me to have a certain level of proficiency in German or 2.5. Help a brother, God bless you all. Check through DAAD, if possible get the list of all universities in Germany on Wikipedia and open their websites one after the other cos not all schools are on DAAD. Check each school and their courses offered. I'm sure you'll find something related to your stuff. I'll conclude with an advice: Ensure you apply for a BSc alongside too... In case MSc doesn't come. A lot has been said about grace, luck, chance etc. |

odimbannamdi: Thanks for your swift response here. i am amazed at the level of relevant assistance one is getting from here.
If i got you correctly, you are implying that i can apply with the unofficial copy (i already have a copy in my mail). I simply have to print it out, make photocopies and certify. Then use the certified copies in sending applications to schools, if they use offline application method, or send a scanned certified copy if the accept online application.
Let me know if we are well-aligned, air IF the unofficial copy you have carries the signature and stamp of the registrar of your school, then you can print it out in colored and photocopy and certify. If it's not signed and stamped, I won't advice you use it. my former post was actually referring to the official copy. Get it sent to a company and have someone pick it up for you. Photocopy it and certify. For online application, just scan the official copy and upload. For offline, send the certified copy of the official transcript. Hope it's cleared now? |

odimbannamdi: Hi bro,
This was very expository.
I was on daad.de and mastersportal (targeting schools in Germanh) and i bookmarked a lot of school websites for perusal later today.
How do i know if a school requires one to apply through Uni-assist or not?
is it usually clearly outlined in their requirements/application process page? so that i will watch out for it.
Thanks brov Yes bro. It's usually outlined in the requirement and application section. If it's not too expository, open the course website. You'll see it there |

No particular reason for doing so... Just the "we have lots of good applications but we can't offer you a place in this program" bullshit |

odimbannamdi: Hi bro,
I was at my school last year to apply for my transcript to be sent to a school in Canada. I was also able to get a copy scanned to my email (i want to refer to this as unofficial copy).
So i am wondering, is it possible to apply to German schools with this unofficial copy as it will cost me almost 100k to send the official transcript to each school.
Alternatively, i am considering paying for the WES evaluation package that provides transcript storage and sending, so that my next request to my school to process my transcript will be a final one as they will send it to WES who will evaluate the transcript and send to any school i request them to.
What do u guys think of this approach?
CC: dolpaz, Eldeee @bolded, get a company where you know someone, and make your school send your transcript to the company and let the person pick it up for you. Make photocopies and certify the copies. You can Use then for your application. Instead of sending transcript to each school |
