If you have a dual-boot (Ubuntu is installed next to Windows, another Linux operating system, or Mac OS X; and you choose at boot time which operating system to boot into), the boot menu should appear without the need to hold down the Shift key.

From the boot menu, select recovery mode, which is usually the second boot option.
After you select recovery mode and wait for all the boot-up processes to finish, you'll be presented with a few options. In this case, you want the Drop to root shell prompt option so press the Down arrow to get to that option, and then press Enter to select it.

The root account is the ultimate administrator and can do anything to the Ubuntu installation (including erase it), so please be careful with what commands you enter in the root terminal.

In recent versions of Ubuntu, the filesystem is mounted as read-only, so you need to enter the follow command to get it to remount as read-write, which will allow you to make changes:
mount -o rw,remount /

If you have forgotten your username as well, type
ls /home
That's a lowercase L, by the way, not a capital i, in ls. You should then see a list of the users on your Ubuntu installation. In this case, I'm going to reset Susan Brownmiller's password.

To reset the password, type
passwd username
where username is the username you want to reset. In this case, I want to reset Susan's password, so I type
passwd susan

You'll then be prompted for a new password. When you type the password you will get no visual response acknowledging your typing. Your password is still being accepted. Just type the password and hit Enter when you're done. You'll be prompted to retype the password. Do so and hit Enter again.

Now the password should be reset. Type
exit
to return to the recovery menu.

After you get back to the recovery menu, select resume normal boot, and use Ubuntu as you normally would—only this time, you actually know the password!

Note:
Some people get freaked out about having recovery mode logging you in as root. For more information, read Recovery mode makes me root user. Isn't that a security risk?

And I do get the impression that you are trying to relate to a situation with the tribe of Quraish, the Prophet Muhammad's [SAW] tribe. You must understand that Allaah, All Glory Be To HIM, sent the Prophet Muhammad [SAW] to remind the people of their duty to Allaah, Blessed Is HE, Forevermore.It is obvious that the idol worshipers resented this, as they attacked the followers of the Prophet Muhammad [SAW].

Tell him that God is an idea that is the perfection of what he himself is: and that he must strive to that idea.

In a word...UNIQUE! as there is none like HIM. HE, is your LIGHT, and your GUIDE, in this world and in the next world. HE, is the Owner of Sovereignty. Or if you prefer, the King of (the) Kings -- in this world, or any other world.

Certain it is that we carry a portion of the soul, HE, has gifted us with, and the vital life force, but understand, we are not God. It is more like, God is us!

There never was, when HE, was not. Time does not effect HIM. HE, has created time, to govern the universe('s), which have a term.

HE, Alone, can Create as many worlds, and as many forms of life, as will please HIM, Alone. HE, Alone, possesses All Knowledge. HE is the Self-Subsisting, in whom All subsist. HE, Alone, is the Source of Peace, the Guardian of Faith, the Protector, the Unconquerable. Know your LORD GOD!

002.183 O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint,

002.184 (Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (Should be made up) from days later. For those who can do it (With hardship), is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent. But he that will give more, of his own free will,- it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.

002.185 Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month
should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later.

002.187 Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. God knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves;but He turned to you and forgave you;so now associate with them, and seek what God Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) God: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth God make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.

This is not critical, but difficult to understand how a god created a man and a woman, and then orders them to remove part of what he gave ...
Contradiction?

As mentioned in my initial remarks, I've never read anything to the effect, of female circumcision (re: Scripture). However man, woman, has been given free will. The ancients would say "choose ye right, choose ye wrong, choose."
