I've not Scripturally read of female circumcision, so, I don't understand the reason for it. But, the story of Adam, PBUH, who is thought to have initiated circumcision, is found in the Gospel of Barnabas.


Chapter 23 Orgin of Circumcision, and covenant of God with Abraham, and damnation of the uncircumcised.

And having said this, Jesus sat nigh unto the mountain which they looked upon. And his disciples came to his side to listen to his words. Then said Jesus: 'Adam the first man having eaten, by fraud of Satan, the food forbidden of God in paradise, his flesh rebelled against the spirit; whereupon he swore, saying: "By God, I will cut thee!" And having broken a piece of rock, he seized his flesh to cut it with the sharp edge of the stone: whereupon he was rebuked by the angel Gabriel. And he answered: "I have sworn by God to cut it; I will never be a liar!"

'Then the angel showed him the superfluity of his flesh, and that he cut off. And hence, just as every man taketh flesh from the flesh of Adam, so is he bound to observe all that Adam promised with an oath. This did Adam observe in his sons, and from generation to generation came down the obligation of circumcision. But in the time of Abraham there were but few circumcised upon the earth, because that idolatry was multiplied up the earth. Whereupon God told to Abraham the fact concerning circumcision, and made this covenant, saying: "The soul that shall not have his flesh circumcised, I will scatter him from among my people for ever." '

The disciples trembled with fear at these words of Jesus, for with vehemence of spirit he spoke. Then said Jesus: Leave fear to him that hath not circumcised his foreskin, for he is deprived of paradise. And having said this, Jesus spoke again, saying: 'The spirit in many is ready in the service of God, but the flesh is weak. The man therefore that feareth God ought to consider what the flesh is, and where it had its origin, and whereto it shall be reduced. Of the clay of the earth created God flesh, and into it he breathed the breath of life, with an inbreathing therein. And therefore when the flesh shall hinder the service of God it ought to be spurned like clay and trampled on, forasmuch as he that hateth his soul in this world shall keep it in life eternal.
'What the flesh is at this present its desires make manifest -that it is a harsh enemy of all good: for it alone desireth sin.

'Ought then man for the sake of satisfying one of his enemies to leave off pleasing God, his creator? Consider ye this.
All the saints and prophets have been enemies of their flesh for service of God: wherefore readily and with gladness they went to their death, so as not to offend against the law of God given by Moses his servant, and go and serve the false and lying gods.

'Remember Elijah, who fled through desert places of the mountains, eating only grass, clad in goats' skin. Ah, how many days he supped not! Ah, how much cold he endured! Ah, how many showers drenched him, and [that] for the space of seven years, wherein endured that fierce persecution of the unclean Jezebel!

Remember Elisha, who ate barley-bread, and wore the Coarsest raiment. Verily I say unto you that they, not fearing to spurn the flesh, were feared with great terror by the king and princes. This should suffice for the spurning of the flesh, O men. But if ye will gaze at the sepulchres, ye shall know what the flesh is.'

I would like to know what posters think, of the recent finding of what is thought to be, the original Gospel of Barnabas; a 1500 year old Syriac bible found in Ankara, Turkey. As you may already know, Aramaic, was a language spoken by the Prophet Isa (Jesus, PBUH). In light of the discussion in posts above, what if any, are your thoughts concerning the major conflict (crucifixion), in the New Testament, and this authentic Scripture.

Even as US-Zionist agents were attacking ‘Ashura ceremonies in Pakistan and Iran, in Turkey something remarkable was taking place. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s appearance at an ‘Ashura commemoration ceremony of Imam Husayn’s martyrdom sent a powerful message of Muslim unity. Erdogan is the first Prime Minister of Turkey to attend such a ceremony organized to commemorate the tragedy at Karbala.

   The martyrdom of Imam Husayn  more than 1,300 years ago has been reduced to something of a sectarian issue when in fact, it relates to the very core of Islamic teachings: the issue of justice and legitimacy. The Qur’an is very clear on the issue justice; there are numerous ayat exhorting Muslims to be just, fair and balanced. How much greater is this responsibility when it involves the family of the noble Messenger of Allah (pbuh)?

   A careful study of Islamic history shows that Imam Husayn is revered just as much by those Muslims calling themselves “Sunnis” as those that call themselves “Shi‘is”. One need not go too far back into Islamic history. Even recent scholars have dealt with the martyrdom of Imam Husayn in a remarkably moving way. One can cite the stirring poetry of Dr. Muhammad Iqbal (also referred to as Allama Iqbal in Pakistan and Iqbal Lahori in Iran), the writings of Syed Qutb Shahid and also those of Maulana Abul Ala Maududi. Even among Indian Muslim scholars of the recent past, Imam Husayn’s martyrdom is treated with great respect and almost all scholars look upon Yazid with disdain and contempt.  More, >>

It doesn't give the actual date. Doing the math, Prophet 'Isa [Jesus, PBUH] would have been 12 years old in 2 AD [so He, PBUH was born about 11 B.C.E. or, Before Common Era]. See post below, for more details.

According to the gospel of Barnabas, Prophet 'Isa [Jesus, PBUH] was seven (7) years of age when Herod the greater died in 4 B.C.E. 'Isa PBUH would then have been born in 11 B.C.E. (Before Common Era). ("late September or early October; when dates ripen in the Middle East to the point of falling off the tree," According to Rashad Khalifa's "An Authorized English Version of Qur'an." See: 19:25)


When Herod was dead, behold the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying: 'Return into Judaea, for they are dead that willed the death of the child.' Joseph therefore took the child with Mary (he having come to the age of seven years), and came to Judaea; whence, hearing that Archelaus, son of Herod, was reigning in Judaea, he went into Galilee, fearing to remain in Judaea; and they went to dwell at Nazareth. The child grew in grace and wisdom before God and before men.

Jesus, having come to the age of twelve years, went up with Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem, to worship there according to the law of the Lord written in the book of Moses. I've seen no gods white or, black in these times, only devils, white and black, etcetera. It looks to me like, somebody crossed the one in the video. There is much of that here. For example, there is one mean devil here, who have been following me about the country for more than 40 years. Even, onto the internet!

I guess some people feel that Harlem, is being loss because white people are moving back there, and the cost of real estate (housing) is rising beyond their means. That may have some truth. And, the black man appears to love catering to the whims of the Evil One, who has promised to lead all astray, save a few;  saved, by The Grace of The One GOD, The Almighty.

I'm not about to play games with Al-Qur'an. A question was asked of the travellers, and an answer was given. I assumed that the answer was regardful of the law respected by the family of Jacob, which it was [I](I assumed that they be Hebrews)[/I]. I never suggested that amputation was of the Hebrew law. There was never any consideration given to Egyptian laws. Read carefully!

Well, you are saying that the law predated Prophet Musa [Moses, PBUH] which it did. I guess I should have said Hebrews instead of Jews, who I would suppose came later.

The Noble Qur'an is the corrector, hence protector of previous Scripture; this is at the very least proof of tampering with previous Scripture.

Because the church may have called Barnabas' gospel apocrypha or heretic, proves nothing, since it [I](Barnabas' gospel)[/I] is in many instances supported, by The Holy Qur'an. Note here, that the New Testament is in conflict with The Bounteous Qur'an.

It is not clear to me what is meant by "the 'books' have been corrupted by, 'enlightenment' from NL Muslims." If you will please elaborate.

[I]Copies of[/I] Barnabas' gospel must have been destroyed as there is only an Italian and (part of) a Spanish translation available.  Prophet 'Isa [Jesus, PBUH] spoke Aramic, a dialect of the Syrian language. So, where is the Syrian, Aramic, et cetera, translation's? 

The Gospel of Barnabas is alive and well.  You cannot deny that fact!

This gospel is obviously better suited to be called the original message of the Prophet 'Isa [Jesus, PBUH]. The early church may have labeled it as apocrypha, but some of this same gospel by Barnabas, is found in the New Testament.

I've found no problem in this gospel concerning Christ/Messiah, which mean's anointed. Perhaps you will point out the discrepancy.
