AutosRe: Cars From The U.s. by DewDrop(f): 7:14pm On Apr 19, 2007
Thank you @ adejobia
You input was appreciated
however
when we ask Democrat about cars, i'm sure he researches the American spec.
Not the 'official' cars that have flooded the Naija market.
I did do my research and the LE he talks about is about that price:
delivered to my door.
YOU should get so nasty without reading the thread thoroughly

@ Democrat
- i like the sport package tho- what's the price difference?

RomanceRe: Which Of These Two Women Should I Marry? by DewDrop(f): 6:02pm On Apr 19, 2007
@ McDoe, I agree that any marriage that is starved of fun cannot stand the test of time
however what you were suggesting was something different!
You didnt say pick A and try to sort out her sexual inadequacy.
You said "Settle with the two, enjoy dual pleasure blah blah blah"
Seriously, he never said the relationship was devoid of fun.
He said he hurts her during sex- therefore the sexual aspect is not as enjoyable!
Loving someone truly would transcend this sexual hiccup and
he will be patient enough with her that eventually (doctors, movies, whatever) she'll warm up!

FashionRe: Pencil Mouth Trousers by DewDrop(f): 12:05pm On Apr 19, 2007
Well Pencil mouth pants as you call them are called "Skinny Jeans" or just "Skinnys"

They initially were spotted on the likes of Kate Moss (Lepa to the maxx)
However,
Every woman can wear them!
It's just how you construct the outfit!

Curvier girls with not too flat tummys should definitely avoid the tight tops with skinny jeans look,
Curvy ladies can wear them by balancing the skinny jeans with sexy heels and cropped blazers or something roomy up top! See Beyonce in her skinnys! (wearing my Louboutins!!!) and fabulous Christina Millian in Skinnys

'Lepa' girls may be able to get away with it more but they should remember that those jeans draw attention to your feet so make sure you have nicely pedicured feet and hot shoes!

As i said somewhere before, But the basic idea of that Palms/Silverbird look is to wear 3 or 4 different trends together so that WE know that not only does she know what's in vogue, she has a version of ALL the items in vogue! i.e (from toe to head)- Peep Toe pumps or Flats, Skinny Jeans, Fitted Tunic Top, Waist cincher belt, Rope Chain with matching /coordinating earrings and bangles, headband and sunglasses. Don't get put off by these clowns! See pics of Skinny No-Nos

I say:
Skinny's can work for every woman, The Shoes make the Skinny- Skinny's should not be worn with flats!!!

The granny wearing Skinnys-- that one i don't know about -- and when it comes to the fashion game, I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

FashionRe: I'm Going To Cry At My Wedding: What Make-up Should I Use? by DewDrop(f): 12:00pm On Apr 19, 2007
LoL @ topic-
She so sure she'll cry- I wonder why?
Is it to make it look like she sees on TV?
So her wedding tape can look better/ more romantic/ more touching?
PUH-LEEZE! People look ugly when they cry!
I'll be you she'll be so wound up and angry with (caterer, planner, family, bridesmaids, groomsmen e.t.c)
She'll forget that plan!
Crying ko, Crying ni
Abeg, enjoy your day to look perfect and DO NOT cry!

And if you absolutely can't help yourself, pay the makeup artist extra to stick around all day for touch-ups!

Okay now, he's not trying to 'SAVE the relationship,
'just 'effing with you!
Relax- I think he just likes seeing you squirm about this whole thing
Tell him to go ahead, and that you may or may not be doing the same.
And just let it die there!
Electronic surveillance my A$$
That just pushed me over the edge!

RomanceRe: Which Of These Two Women Should I Marry? by DewDrop(f): 11:32am On Apr 19, 2007
I wonder about Nigerians sometimes! @ McDoe
Being 'African' does not mean he must be polygamous!
Why marry Woman B and wonder is she's not giving up the goods to someone else-
because here character isn't ideal.
As Beline pointed out- she didn't become an 'expert' with you!
I second Seun
's motion-
A marriage isn't based on SEX!
Well it shouldn't be!
Go with the woman whom you heart loves
Go to a doctor to sort out her physical problem!

LoL @ Seun

Razorr- Calling him a freak- NOT NICE!
He's insecure about the relationship- which is normal.
I'm sure you too might want some info on who he is, what he does, what he's done e.t.c.
BUT watch out before it becomes a controlling/possessive issue
But please sort this thing out today!
I don't think I can stand another poster asking you:
"What skeletons u have in your closet"

And let us know what he says.
Would you believe me and the BF got into a discussion last night

Well, lexyflexy, so far on this page,

LoL
OhmGah!!
I was entranced by him!
But seriously, i think he was the only black (and i use that term loosely)
Whose family was not in the entertainment or sporting industry,

I wonder if MTV started doing a love-vendor my Sweet 16 sort of show and get some regular people and give them their dream Sweet 16s.

The first Nigerian on there would be ridiculously funny
I can hear him/her asking for D'Banj to perform at the party-
Right after the musical chairs and they should fly in alases to cook up that smoky party Jollof rice-
I can hear the parents arguing with the hall because they'd need a fire permit for that
And MTV censoring the spraying of money- as its considered defacing the $$

LoL

and THAT'S a problem.

I'm supposed to buy a soap because it makes me whiter!??!
What the f#@K?!!
If it said, healthier looking skin, Okay, maybe
but whiter?!
huh

I looked up the company that produces it - Mogoul Enterprises Co and they're Filipino company
I seriously doubt the soap was made to be marketed exclusively to white women
It's to lighten whiten the darker women of the world including Filipinos

Alakoba!

But seriously, how unfair to him- to 'just leave him hanging' or 'fake breaking up'!?
Playing that middle is very dangerous and in the end would only harm you.
You might think you have good 'ol reliable.
You wait till you're 38 and are through leaving him hanging and faking breaking up
He feels he's been left hanging/ broken up with and moves on,
You return to find another woman in your place,
You realize you are now officially OVER after several attempts to reclaim the love
You start singing Heather Headley's "In my mind", Mariah Carey's "Always be my baby"
You return to Nairaland to post the upsetting news
We spend days debating, voting, comforting you
I think you catch the drift

Whatever you do, Never play games with someone's emotions like that!

RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has Hired A Private Detective To Investigate Me! by DewDrop(f): 9:10am On Apr 19, 2007
Great Idea @ razorr
The options should be those 4 options i mentioned yesterday

Option 1) Dump him and don't worry about him investigating you
Option 2) Stay and keep your mouth shut and call his bluff
Option 3) Confess all your deep, dark, dirty secrets to him
Option 4) Confess something not too damaging (exam malpractice in JSS2) Grin, and wait for it to blow over

How 'bout it?

angryCan u Imagine!?? @ thread
This thing has turned into a Dump him/Stay with him debate
And I thought you were initially just curious about how thorough a Nigerian Investigative Agency could be
Oh well, I still stick to my original idea- if you can read back to it.
Talk to him and ask why he'd even think of such a thing.
I'll bet there are other issues attached to his need to question you/your word
you're a sharp lady, you'll be aiight!
grin
Oh@ the lady that said "you think it is easy to dump someone, especially one wey dey abroad wey dey send things, probably an eligible young man"
For real?
Wow, I didn't know people actually thought like that!
Someone "wey dey abroad" DOES NOT mean "eligible young man"
LOL

FashionRe: Latest Fashion Trends by DewDrop(f): 7:01pm On Apr 18, 2007
I def. don't follow most Naija girls dress - so if you're asking about the latest 'trend' spotted at The Palms or Silverbird Galleria, I can't approve such looks. I go to Shoprite in my house dress because I'm there to SHOP, RITE?

But the basic idea of that Palms/Silverbird look is to wear 3 or 4 different trends together so that WE know that not only does she know what's in vogue, she has a version of ALL the items in vogue! i.e (from toe to head)- Peep Toe pumps, Skinny Jeans, Fitted Tunic Top, Waist cincher belt, Rope Chain with matching /coordinating earrings and bangles, headband and sunglasses.

LMAO - straight clowns!

So my 2 cents are above about the hippest thing to be seen in right now- and trust me I KNOW WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT
cool
FashionRe: Latest Fashion Trends by DewDrop(f): 6:54pm On Apr 18, 2007
STRUCTURE trends mean how you put things together. For instance, layering your basic tees, tanks and henleys over
your favorite skinnys can give you a look of posh comfort. As in you look comfortable yet very cute, as if
there was no effort involved for you at all. See picture

Combining color and structure trends, see Mrs Beckham's pic, wearing Stone, white & Gold!- ohhh i luv dat woman!

FashionRe: Latest Fashion Trends by DewDrop(f): 6:53pm On Apr 18, 2007
DESIGN trends include dresses, yes dresses! Dresses are huge right now. Things with feminine detailing
and ruffles for that girly look! (Notice the colors are in the white, cobalt blue, stone family)
Sleeveless wrap dresses, eyelet lace, think knits. The feminine aspects of dressing are definitely making waves

FashionRe: Latest Fashion Trends by DewDrop(f): 6:52pm On Apr 18, 2007
So right now, there are quite a few trends that are catching my eye.
So I'll just go through them and try to attach pictures as necessary
I've been noticing trends in 3 different categories.
COLOR themes,
DESIGN themes,
STRUCTURE themes.
I'll separate the postings so the pictures will follow.

COLOR trends are Stone (Gray) family, The Cobalt Blue, Whites and PRIMARY COLORS!
Yes O! you basic Red, Yellow and Blue are definitely going to be big this summer season
or is that this rainy season?
Confused what cobalt blue and white means? Think Nautical striped tops with white Bermuda shorts.
Gold jewelry accentuate the blue and white very nicely!

HealthRe: What Do You Use When On Your Period? Tampons Or Pads? by DewDrop(f): 6:11pm On Apr 18, 2007
LMAO @ mohawkchic

Except that same thing happened to me!!
Though I was 9/10
And i intentionally stuck the gluey part to myself- i mean that's how it stays on right?
Though, I never made a correlation between my dislike of pads and that incident
Hmmm-
I def, can;t stand pads- eww, so messy!
Ugh!

If tampons hurt you, you are using the wrong size
Yea, they do some in sizes! from Junior to Super Plus
Try a junior starter kit or something!
